I can't tell you enough how much your candidness means to me. There is strength in your sincerity. "I take things too seriously"-I have felt that all my life, as well as confusion over the lack of seriousness of others. I try to take pride in who I am, but I do notice the gap, and there are days when it is discouraging. Your words and perseverance are emboldening for those who share light hints of what you experience. Thank you for sharing with us in all of your videos.
I love your handle, by the way. It makes sense immediately to me and rings true. Perhaps this is because I've dealt with many writers who don't read and have felt perplexed by that lack of interest in their craft. It is great that you are not merely a poet who writes but one who reads to write, who cherishes in the sound and beauty of others' efforts.
Ah, Ruben, that is all so encouraging to hear. You have made my day. I feel quite buoyant so, thank you.
Oh, & thanks for the feedback regarding my channel handle. That is really encouraging. I have been feeling a little anxious about it so, I really appreciate the acclamation. You are a gem!
Thanks for sharing this vulnerability. You’re a treasure! I love how you’re trying to challenge binary thinking. It’s not easy at all and we all have those internal biases to greater or lesser degrees. It’s been great joining the booktube community with you 😁
I always look forward to engagements with you. I really respond to your open, welcoming nature. You certainly help me to be more gentle & accepting. I love this connection through bookish adventures.
Hello, Phillip. It's wonderful to hear how much joy you are experiencing here in the booktube community. I learned a great deal about you from this video. Thank you for your openness.
Thanks, Pat. I hope you know how amazing I think you are. This whole thing is a mystery but I am, hopefully, going to keep on enjoying it.
@@apoetreadstowrite Thank you, Phillip. You are so kind. I hope you continue to enjoy this whole endeavor too! The community is wonderful!
@@BookChatWithPat8668: Thanks, Pat.
I think you're doing really well with the tech stuff, and I'm glad you chose to brave through that barrier because otherwise I'd never have met you and Billy. This is the second time I've been tagged on this so I think better get it to!
You should make a video about the importance of reading contemporary voices , I am always puzzled by writers who don't read.
Odd, isn't it? I love writing because I adore reading. Reading always comes first. We're all a curious bunch, I guess. Thanks, Emily. Can't wait to see what you do with this tag.
Incredible video! You took this tag to a new level!
You are amazing. Thank you.You have made my evening.
I also didn't think I would participate either, but they ARE so much fun!! And you're also right about the sense of community here. I enjoy your uplifted spirit and enthusiasm.
You have made my evening - thank you!
@@apoetreadstowrite you're welcome. Thanks for participating
@@CGRatedBooks: I am so relieved by the warm welcoming joy of BookTube. Thank you. You really have made my evening.
Loved not only our answers but, your explanations to your answers.
I’m agnostic and I LOVE talking about religion, spirituality, and science. I’ve noticed some people I don’t like that.
I loved hearing you talk about your Billy! What a wonderful thing to have a dog that can make you feel safe.
Do you have a favorite poet??
I’m 2 videos in and I’m loving your content! I’m so glad you commented on my video so I could find your channel.
You are terrific - thanks for the generous & affirmative response to my video. I certainly hope you enjoy watching more, & please continue to comment, these will be a joy to read.
Favourite poet: I have many 'No 1's'. I have quite a few videos on poets I especially love: Australian, UK, Irish & USA. My favourite is usually whoever I'm currently reading.
@@apoetreadstowrite I most definitely will be watching more!
@@Maeve_Ever_Books:You are terrific - thank you.
Your handle was a bit of a conundrum, I’m glad you explained it. This was a great, community-affirming version of the tag. Glad to have you aboard!
Um, my channel handle, maybe, really is a problem. I'll have to think about it. Thanks, David.
Thanks for your candour, it’s refreshing and you never know i might just give this a go, i don’t do that many tags, but if one catches my eye i will, so feel free to tag me from time to time 🎉
Really enjoying spending time with you on your channel!
Alright, wonderful. I don't do a lot of tags, just when they catch my fancy, I suppose. I look forward to seeing what you come up with.
I am a confessional poet, & I started this BookTube channel to keep my publisher happy, but I have been ambushed with joy & community. I am loving it. Do you have any exciting reading plans to end out the year? How are you finding UA-cam?
@ Great!!
@@Bookishtravels1: That is wonderful. I really look forward to continuing this bookish connection.
@@apoetreadstowrite I have been on booktube for many many years, i had another channel about books and was quite successful but i had a ‘moment’ shall i say and deleted the whole lot.
I took a break and then came back with Bookish Travels and am really enjoying my time here, getting to meet many new people from across the globe, yourself included ☺️
