    Fun video, enjoyed seeing this method with grill grates and a bacon press - both of which I have! I'll have to try it on a kettle soon..... Cheers!

    Great video guys. I like to sear first as well. I'm much less likely to overshoot the temp.

    About the way I cook steaks on my PK. I'm a bit slow, so a couple of thing aren't clear to me. (1) Do you season on one side and the edges? (2) Lid open or closed when searing?

    • @TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ
      @TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ  2 роки тому

      Thanks for watching Paul! Season on all sides. Sear with the lid open

    Great video. How do you get your "Grill Grates" not to slide when you are scraping them on the PK? Are you attaching them to original cooking grate somehow???

    Awesome cook Brian with pop narrating. Even got a chance to see Baker say da da! Great looking steaks juicy, perfectly cooked! I think you broke that PK in perfectly for Mad Horse. ( to bad I can’t have MSG) always great to see Dad, son and Grandson in the same video! Thanks for sharing Tom!

    Most of the rubs I try with MSG are really good. Chupacabra brisket magic comes to mind. I can use it on every beef cut and it brings something to it.

    Great job Brian. Looks like the grasshopper has become the butterfly and teaching the master new tricks. I will have to pick up some of that controversial seasoning. I just ordered the grill grates for my PK300 over Black Friday deals- can’t wait to see how they fit.

    Awesome Tom. You and your son sound just alike. I’m actually looking at buying a PKGo today. They are on sale for $40 off the list price at Murcoch’s here in Laramie. Been wanting one since they came out. Is it worth $229?
