My GF and I wanted to thank you for such incredible videos you share. We have been watching your videos on a regular basis for a few years now. In this one the landscape is just incredible. Unfortunately we are each 68 years old and though we love walking and "easy" hiking something like this is a bit beyond us. So thank you so much for letting us live vicariously through you. Thanks again and looking forward to the next video.
Once again your stunning video of an amazing place just blew us away. I am speachless! We are in awe of your travels and your positivity. Such a pleasure watching you guys explore Our Planet! Thanks!
This video has convinced me to go back to Peru again. Epic campsite views. And the food - I've been to couple of guided camping and hiking trips myself, and that spread you have every meal looks top tier
Wow…jaw dropping beautiful…all your hiking destinations are always so gorgeous…I cannot even decide which ones are the most breath taking because they are all so spectacular! Thank you for sharing another fantastic quality video that shows stunning views, excitement and an absolutely wonderful guide and crew! Those men and horses rock! 🤗
Wonderful video you guys! Thank you soo much for taking us with you! I smiled the whole video. Loved the llamas and the mountain shots the best. And congrats on your altitude achievement with no altitude problems. The acclamation process was perfect. Loved it all. Thanks so much!!!
The absolutely amazing adventures you find and create. The wonderful story telling and videography - all of it is just terrific. You guys are just an amazing couple. I look forward to each and every new video.
WOW!!!! Hands down the most epic trip we have watched you guys take. I cannot imagine what it looks like in person. Keep on keepin on we love your channel.
What an amazing trek!! I loved everyday of it, your joy and enthusiasm! You put together an A+ video! I know I’ll be watching it again. I’m sure it will be an adventure you’ll be talking about for years and years to come🥰
Just WOW! Thank you for sharing this awesome place. Truly inspiring place. Gods creation is never ending beauty. Your journey inspires us to travel to these remote places. Thanks again
Wonderful video! So happy you were able to recover from your infection and do this amazing trek. When I went in 2021 I was able to do a day trip to Rainbow mountain and a day trip for the 7 lakes of Ausangate. I wish I knew there was a trek that combined it all. The lakes were so beautiful. Looking forward to the next video- looks like you are heading to Huacachina!
Yes we were so thankful Kathryn recovered for this trek! You know how spectacular it is out there then! Huacachina coming up in 2 videos! It's a fun one!
Another wonderful hiking video capturing the people and beautiful landscape of nature. This video was exceptional. Thanks for taking us along and sharing. Remember to have a coffee for me J ☕
You two have proven that a tough-minded attitude can conquer any altitude! I so enjoyed your never-disappointing spectacular photo work! Enjoy you well-deserved rest and recovery! Blessings always!
So proud of K! omgoodness, she even wakes up with lipstick on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wow great trip!!!!!!!!!!!! Loved the snapshots at the end of the video......great job!
View is epic! Food looks fresh! So many stars!!! Texans getting their snow fix!❄️☃️ It stings your nose and bites your toes but over the hills you go!🏔️. Your guides must be in great shape!💪 Drone shots so awesome! Dance party!🕺💃🕺 Your chefs rock!!! This was just Wow! Your tour guide Fredy was fantastic! Thank you for sharing this with us, it is such a blessing!❤
The guides and cooks were cruising up and down those hills - no problem for them! It was impressive. Fredy is the man! We had such a blast and amazing experience with them
Wow! You are ending 2024 with a bang. Beautiful scenery, delicious food, high altitude gain (higher than Mt. Rainier), epic filming and editing, and good company. I look forward to your adventures in 2025 😊.
What an amazing hike! I love watching your videos. Ending the new year catching up on your videos hopping that this upcoming year will bring my family more travel adventures. 🤞🏼 I also want to wish the same for you guys! May this upcoming year bring you many more travel adventures so that we can keep watching ❤
Bravo!!! Haku!! What a showstopper of a film of this trek!! I could watch your drone shots of this special and remote adventure all day. Kudos to you both! Loved the dance breaks, the alpaca and horse "photobombs", and the food buffet views, too. Leave Only Footprints is a favorite read of mine, and cake for breakfast should always be a thing. Thanks again for sharing!! Happy New Year to you both!!
Oh man we have soooo much drone footage from this. Would love to make a drone video of it...if only there was time! 😂 I really enjoyed Leave Only Footprints. It was a fun, easy read and he is a good writer. Team Cake for Breakfast! Happy New Year!
Very nice. I did a self-guided 3 night/4 day trek with rainbow mountain included back in July 22' and it was an incredible experience. Highest place on our planet I have been too, lots of alpacas and some guanacos, and some cold nights. I particularly liked seeing a rodent I've never seen before called the viscacha. Super cool.
Unbelievable trek- no words. Those alpacas were so cute. Your little dance breaks were awesome. The scenery was epic. I especially loved the photo montage at the end of the vlog- it really highlighted every aspect of the trip. Immensely enjoyable. Happy 2025!
Are you SURE you two wouldn't be happier working in an office?! (jk)😉 Wow, what an Adventure ! Thanks for taking us along. I appreciate all the research and work it takes to produce your epic content for our enjoyment. Happy New Year!
Stunning scenery! Wow! Also, it seems like excellent value with a guide, cooks, and pack animals. Travel in North America is so expensive these days. Peru is looking like a good deal.
Yes Peru offers a great bang for your buck! Even the "nicer and more expensive" restaurants we went to in Lima (not the Michelin star places) were cheaper than the average US meal. Accommodations, food, and transportation were all very affordable and quality!
Bravo! That was quite the trek. Having a guide and support team made a huge difference. I can't imagine what it would have been like without them. Thank you for taking us along to the Peruvian back country (that most of us will never see in person)!
Yes it would have been very tough to do without the guide and support team! There just isn't enough infrastructure out there yet to do it without a guide. We're glad we could share the adventure!
Due to my asthma, my body would never allow me to see this place in person. I almost passed out at 14,000 feet at the top of Pike's Peak. So thank you so much for bringing these incredible views to my computer screen. Not as good as the real deal, but if that is unattainable, this is definitely the best! I love your videos and your film making is just incredible! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Ausangate was our favorite too! The mountain views are epic! We would totally go back and do a longer hike here! Glad someone else enjoyed it as much as we did! ❤
Beautiful area, Thank you for sharing it and making it available for us to see. I know God had an amazing time creating this world for us.And I know that he watches you guys and you're incredible enjoyment at discovering it with joy. Creation just screams intelligent design, Artistic sculpting, And an amazing Intellect. So incredible❤❤❤❤
Being 60 +11 years young, climbing is only done by video. The trek was awsome and the guided tour with tents and the cooked food would definitely be the best way to experience the glaciers, passes, and lakes. Could 2025 possibly beat this trip?? The puppy party was an added feature. 👍👍
Being able to meet and get to know the guide and cooks took it to the next level! We're still planning some of our 2025 adventures so we'll see! Puppies make everything better!
Really loved the shots you captured this episode. What an incredible landscape! Besides the tour you highlighted, was there another option you were weighing? Curious to know what you’d pursue if you were to return again for another visit! Happy new year to you both. :)
On our next visit to Peru we'll do some treks in the Huaraz area. It looks epic out there as well! But in the Cusco region we did the treks we really wanted to do. Happy New Year!
Thank you both so very much, what a wonderful blessing to be able to go with you! 😂 We are now "arm chair travelers" 😢 However we set sail for warmer weather in a few days (wheel chair assistance for me😵💫) but still a new experience. God bless you and keep on traveling His wonderful creation. Love in Christ. J&J
Okay, I had to add a second comment. Looking at the views and hearing the comment that Katheryn made about the grinding 3 mile up hill journey made me think about the Lord of the Rings. And as I was watching the screen, I told Adam "You can do this little Hobbit!!" I thought you might get a kick out of that! That scenery makes everyone look so small and insignificant.
I (Adam) really enjoyed it! Kathryn hasn't read it yet, but I know she will enjoy it as well. It's an easy, fun read. And since we've been to most national parks I recognized and had been to many of the spots he visited. I definitely recommend it!
I think it's to identify the "owner" of the alpacas. I saw this in Ireland too where sheep were tagged w/ a spot of spray paint in different colors to signify their home farm.
Thanks, once again, for showing what a beautiful planet we live on. Also, thanks for sharing the beautiful relationship you two have with one another. Oh ya we can see it! Thanks and thanks for watching!
Awesome adventures.
I did separate day trips waking up 3:30.
Had breakfast and lunch included.
3 hours drive.

Peru really offers a lot! Highly recommend!
@ thanks for the link. My concern would be that my bald noggin might freeze way up on those peaks.

WOAH! That's all I can say. I am curious about the tags the llamas had on their ears. Is there anything you share about that?
I think they are partially for decoration and part to tell who owns them
I think it's to identify the "owner" of the alpacas. I saw this in Ireland too where sheep were tagged w/ a spot of spray paint in different colors to signify their home farm.
Awesome
