I love mine. I use it sometimes with my Pl880, but more recently and to far greater effect with my Belka. It managed to pull in the Closing down of a station in Australia at 3pm on a wet Saturday in Porthcawl. Luckily I recorded it on my phone as I knew the guys at the club wouldnt believe me. Really good bit of kit, and has pretty much every connection method you can think of.
Thank you for another great video Peter. Was great to chat with you on 40m last Sunday. The topic of antennas is also one of my major interest's. M0DSK
Thanks for this review. I have no outdoor space, nor can I mount anything on a roof or out the window. Looking at the price of the antenna too, it looks to be something I should at least try out. The portability looks great as I can take it down once I'm done for the evening and the wire is nice and long to reach to the comfy spot on the sofa. Brilliant.
I just got one a few weeks back. It is not very good. Actually my simple wire Xhdata An- 80 wire strung across the room seems to be clearer and pull in stations better. I tested the AN 48x without powered controller box and just plugged the jack directly into the receiver from window. That was clearer and better than the antenna with that fussy powered two dial controller installed in line. Not happy with the AN-48x.
On AM we always tune for optimum sound. That is why I set the tuning as per demo. On AM you are using quite a wide pass-band, unlike SSB. The golden rule is to adjust your receiver fir best response.

Hi Richard, many thanks, and for the QSO.
I have one and, although it's a bit fiddly to use and the tuning is very sensitive, it works well with my H501 and 990X.once you get used to it.
Many thanks.

You have to know what you’re doing with this one, I like it
Superb video. Sometimes, is difficult to hear your explanation when the device sound is too loud. Again, than you for the detailed video
Great video and great product, thanks for one more great video.
Thanks Peter, looks quite good....2E0BGB...Andre..
Very good!

Essa antena seria melhor do que a Degen 31ms de um modelo bem parecido ?
Can it be used as a separate RX antenna for a transceiver? Guess only if far away from the Tx antenna. Interesting product. OZ1DTF
I don’t know if there is any protection. Probably not.
I had to smile at Radio4 Longwave... us "old-timers" still default to 200kc/s... none of this new fangled 198kHz malarkey
Agreed. Us old-timers tune by ear. 2kHz is neither here nor there on AM
Radio four is 197KHz and not 200KHz which is probably why thr quality was poor G7VFY
