Ashour was very poor in this match by his standards, especially in the first two games, go and watch some of his classic battles with Elshorbagy and you’ll see what I mean
Plethora unforced errors, many balls loose and popping out to the middle, lot of straight drops catching side wall first, movement not the best as well. Completely opposite, very poor performance in my opinion, definitely out of top20
terrible game for Ashour
Great match. It's a shame the ref has never played squash before. So many terrible calls, all overturned by video ref. If you have literally all your decisions overturned in a match you should be removed or put under review as a referee or something. Ridiculous.

I’m not that familiar with the exact rules of let/stroke, but this 1:03:19 seems like a let to me?! Mueller chose the wrong way... had he gone to the right of Ramy he would’ve gotten that shot!

Ashour was playing against himself and almost lost.
Ashour always smiling and fairplay whe he wins.. when he loses however thats another story
I think in the first 2 games Ashour wasnt happy because he made a lot of mistakes, not because he was losing. In the 3rd game, he smiles when Mueller wins the point with great touch, even though Ashour was losing at this moment

Not the best matches, ashour didn't hit like he used to, muller tired at the end
I think that's what made this match so good! It showed Ramy's mental toughness: to find a way to win even when not at his best.
