Glad you both enjoyed The Substance. I saw it in the theater with my mom and she doesn't like horror movies and although she's had to close her eyes in certain scenes she enjoyed it. I thought it was phenomenal and very unique and my favorite horror movie of the year.

I watched Trap on streaming with my wife and son and we loved it. What we remembered most about the film were the numerous flaws in the last 30 minutes. But all in all it was a good watch but it won't be a purchase.
On trap did you have a big green stripe thru the screen. I can’t find any info on it it did not have the green stripe on my phone but did on the Sony tv
Due to all the poor and luke-warm reviews on Trap and Blink Twice, we ended up enjoying both of them more than I expected. Funny how that works I guess. I mean, they aren't the greatest things, but I've enjoyed worse films. Still have yet to see The Substance and likely will just pick up the Blu-ray for first watch. Oddity pretty good but overhyped.
What I didn't get about trap...the Fed's and swat don't know what the killer looks like all they have to go on is that the killer has a tattoo on his wrist which he covers up with a wrist band...but still he keeps shitting himself every time he looks at the police! when I'm reality he could just walk through the entrance with his daughter and not get stopped by the police!
They were profiling every 30 something year old man to get pulled aside and searched, so YES, he would have been stopped by the police. If you can believe the premise of the movie, which is sometimes hard, he was likely to get caught.

Yeah, I probably only seen two movies on this list and trap was the worst piece of garbage I had seen in a long time, I had a hard time, not turning it off. As a matter of fact, it was the first time I had to split up watching a movie. There were so many bad repetitive things in it that I had seen in movies before other than this wanna be Taylor Swift/Rihanna garbage that I would never ever go see. The performances were poor, and those who did have decent performances, just could not make this movie work correctly, my niece and I had a theory that maybe am night Shyamalan directed the other movie in secret and let his daughter direct this movie because we had never seen such poor directing with actors and plots/storylines at the same time. They were callbacks to red Dragon/copycat/Just on really, really bad, acting tropes, for me has to be worst movie of the year that I attempted to watch. The substance left me speechless, I was, they should be, it brought back a lot of things and did it right. This was the first time I was very impressed by a female cast, love anymore, I don’t know the other actress, but she did a really decent job as well. This is the type of movies, female roles should also engage, when I was watching the trap I kinda had thoughts that, even though it seemed off, would’ve made the movie interesting like, maybe his daughter would be the killer, sounds odd, but it isn’t exactly a normal place. We live in so. But yeah, the substance was awesome, affects off the freaking chain, good stuff, hope they bring back Classic entertainment like this again, I do not want a message in my movies or to be told, this is what I should like, entertain us, keep us wanting to watch it. This was great. Number one thank God you guys agreed to this time around, the 22:43 substance for sure. 21:51

I highly recommend the original version Speak No Evil. creepy and quite disturbing different ending than remake. It's on dvd in English from Shudder.
We need to check it out for sure!
