VW golf won’t charge and no power steering.

I put the jump leads on the wrong way and blew a little fuse board on the front of the fuse box.

I have a standard 2010 vw golf (no turbo)..no power steering fluid reservoir..but turning my wheel is getting harder and harder - any idea how to fix that?

There will be power steering fluid. But I think it’s down on top of the motor. Look down underneath one of the headlights I think.

Quick question you might be able to help me with 58 plate golf tdi 1.9tdi mk5 just felt the steering wheel went a bit hard to turn going round a corner but I thought it was because I was in 3rd gear and the engine was about to stall so I thought it was the pump turning slowly but when I got to the bottom of road outside my house and I turned into my drive the steering was really heavy and it was like a throbing feeling and the battery light has come up on the dashboard and a yellow steering wheel have you ever had this issue before, any idea what the problem is, if so your knowledge would be gratefully appreciated thanks Paul wolves, England.

@@paulwrite1405 I think you’ve either got a bad battery or your alternator is knackered. I’m pretty sure the steering pump is electric on your car.
