Shopping for makeup in Japan is so fun. I loved how every single store that stocks makeup has testers, even regular drugstores (this is completely unheard of in the U.S).

I think that there is a trust factor that doesn’t exist in the USA. Employee theft and shoplifting is very high.

There are also some other really good drugstore brands such as Coffret dor, primavista, esprique, ettuisais, excel, kate. I really like their products!

@@monaxiu1312 I love Excel, KATE, and Canmake, but haven’t tried many other J-beauty brands! There are Ettusais eyeshadow duos I’m eyeing right now, but otherwise I’ll probably have to go there and browse around to decide!

Love Japanese beauty products!! The Canmake Marshmallow Pressed Powder compact and the Heroine Kissme Long & Curl Mascara are my holy grail products. I use pretty much Heroine for everything to do with my eyelashes: the remover, the lash serum, and also the more natural brown mascara for everyday. Kissme Heroine's eyeliner and BrowLashEx's brow products used to be my holy grails for eyeliner + brow products (Japan makes the best brow and eye products!!!) but ever since I got my brows microbladed i only need to define it with a grayish-brown eyeshadow powder and I switched to Florette's eyeliners (because they just have so many colours!). But I love Japanese makeup. I have a bunch of Canmake's Glow Fleur Cheeks for blushes and Glow Twin Colour for highlight that I use really regularly too.

Testers are important because Japanese people don't really return purchases. Maybe Japanese stores will accept unopened items but I highly doubt they would accept open and/or used items like Sephora and Ulta do.

Wongjonyo is a makeup brand by Twice’s makeup artist , hence why Momo is the ambassador. So yes, technically Momo wears it. And it is a Korean, as in it is produced by a Korean MUA, but it is mainly for the Japanese market!
