I'm only level 12. Use the tripcaster to shock/stun it, and unload arrows into its back. You can destroy the canister on its back before it recovers. Then just melee/dodge until dead.

yeah thanks, this was my first encounter with it and i was too much of a noob to use the scanner for weakspots :))
