They'd literally be there for hours. You have to consider their point of view. This is a 32 minute video for you, but who knows how long the recording session itself was, and this is just with one single Pokémon of the type required. It's a slightly ridiculous suggestion from that view, but it would be fun to watch regardless, despite them undoubtedly just ending up losing over and over.

@@GustavRex pokeaimmd is doing a livestream monotype first to 50 wins as I type this. Having one mon with a secondary type isn't really a challenge. It's just the race factor
Markus the GOAT Back in the day, Wolfey and Markus in those Double Battles with Team Dreamball was so fun to watch xD Glad to see that their chemistry still holds up in 2023 xD
It's sad these videos don't perform as well because it is really interesting to see professional players being handicapped but still showing off their diff! Love your content and wish you all the best! The 1,000,000 isn't that far away from here on
These are so much fun to watch. People in the comments have mentioned this already but I wanted to second the idea that doing this with a mono type team would be fun. Also noting what others said, it would be tough on the ladder but going head to head with other trainers would be a riot to watch. Thank you for all of the heart work! I can't wait to watch the next
Really hope you keep doing videos like this even tho they might not do well, maybe you could do them on your bonus wolf channel for us hard core viewers!
The problem is, that these are heavily edited vudeos and therefore take a lot of time to make, so the time/views ratio isn"t good enough for the effort
I met Marcus a few times in person. He is one of the kindest and friendliest human beings i ever met. Great guy! I hope we can see him more often in the future on your channel
for me there are some things to improve to make the format perfect, cuz it's actually nice to see you doing smth else ! -present the teams in a quick way, so we have a way to understand what's going on -2 battles at the same time is too much, can't focus and i feel a bit left out from your it -doing fun challenges is a wonderful idea, but a race isn't the best idea imo -show more interactions between you and your guest some ideas for the sake of it: inviting someone, teambuild together with some constraints and try to win together (imposed pokemon, monoteam, worst mon in the format, weird gimmicks, etc...) It's really fun and refreshing to see that kind of format (and you're super funny to watch) so keep going, get the format better, polish it and it will be amazing !
Maybe something akin to tag team ladder where they take turns playing the same team on the ladder, one making the move choices while the other simply is there as a second mind to assist is pretty fun; though this admittedly works better on the quicker-paced Showdown rather than the lengthy animated console game. I personally enjoy this video idea, but I can see how it can be a bit hectic for others and it would be nice seeing a bit more interaction with the guest beyond separately commentating their games and responding.
Sad to hear these videso dont perform that well, because these are my absolute favorite videos of yours Wolfe!! I'll do my best to spread it around and get more people to realize how great your content is 🙏
They're the worst types in a... I'm not gonna say completely balanced system, but a system that isn't totally lopsided at most levels of play. Poison and Bug aren't useless like they used to be, Ice is at least a good attacking type.
More friend competitions, please! You and your friends are so wholesome together and it’s fun watching you guys talk to each other about strategies and stats!
Yeah, the video is fun enough just since they're enjoying theirselves and they're good entertainers, but Volcarona and Amoonguss aren't exactly liabilities.
it could be fun if u do a smash "ironman" style challenge with a friend on the ladder, or even speedrun alone, like both needing to win with mono type teams, changing team only if u win
I love watching your battle videos! I am hesitant about it but I would eventually like to do ranked battles so watching these are a big help because it tells me your thoughts during a battle and gives me ideas to things worth thinking about.
This type of content is fun, but I feel like I don't learn stuff out of them as much as I do from regular videos, since there's less explanation, predictions, and some context of battles gets cut out for the sake of showing what your friend is going
I really like this format - it would be awesome to may hear a breakdown from you retrospectively, on why you did the things you did, why you chose the types you did etc. Obviously not every move, but it would be really cool to be abe to get some insight. I know that (at least for me) I don't understand proper competitive battling and so sometimes moves or pokemon seem "random" even though you spend a large chunk of time working on crafting a team. So seeing behind the moves & other choices would be super engaging whilst still being entertaining to watch (and hopefully to film too!)
Wolfey: Says he’s terrible at using other people’s teams. Also Wolfey: Just won a tournament where you’re forced to use random other people’s teams every round.
Great video brotha! New to the channel! Your shorts actually brought me to your channel. I got into competitive pokemon with shield and sword so definitely enjoying the content and tips to continue playing competitive.
I never really comment on videos. But I watch most of your content. On both channels. And I love this style of video. Please keep making them. Even if they aren't performing well, you are having fun. And I'm loving watching them. Much love Wolfe
I have a soft spot for glimmora. I was playing, avoiding spoilers, and saw glimmet on my radar. Looked everywhere for it, asked a friend if they saw it yet (he had not seen it in-game), and finally had some spawn. I thought I had found one of the rarer Pokémon and was looking forward to having it on my team. Unfortunately, I already had a nacli (forgot where it was on its evolution tree) and wasn’t going to give it up. I didn’t want the duplicate rock type. Then I beat Grusha as the 5th gym leader, and my girlfriend informed me that he was the toughest gym leader. So, I made a B team to tackle the last 3 weaker gyms. Glimmet was on there, so I got to see glimmora before Geeta or Area Zero.
Video Idea: Wolfey has to build a team where each pokemon starts with the same letter as a letter in his name. For example he could use Wugtrio for the W in his name and an Orthworm for O.
I was expecting monotype teams this is a lot less challenging and kinda removes the bad type part because for example although bug is a bad typing bug/steel is a great typing
love these types of videos wolfey, i only recently started showing interest in competitive Pokémon but your explanations and play style are my biggest interests!

Lmao
Especially the first gen 9 competitive battle he did
That's basically him every battle LMAO

Baybeeeee!
It's not the worst type if you have good secondary typing
Based comment
It's not bad if it's in OU or UU
@@aristotelesemblem2506 Non-world champ and it shows.
Could you do a version of this but with mono type teams maybe?
Yeah, it would only make sense if it was monotype
Would be quite hard with bug or poison mono type teams with good players it’s nearly impossible to win tbh
They wouldn't win a game but that would be fun to watch
Maybe playing another pro directly like what he did with Cybertron a month ago?
They could do that but with stronger types. Something like Mono Rock or Flying

this should be at least like 2 or 3 mons from the type, having just 1 kinda misses the mark for me but idk. still a good vid
Gustav finds that slightly ridiculous, LOL

The funniest part about this video is that I’ve done monotype teams of all 3 of these in competitive formats and it honestly isn’t that awful to do.
They're the worst types in a... I'm not gonna say completely balanced system, but a system that isn't totally lopsided at most levels of play. Poison and Bug aren't useless like they used to be, Ice is at least a good attacking type.
Fair enough. Like, in most games, this would be more difficult, but in Pokémon, it isn’t as much of a challenge as it would be in other things.
bro this is a flashback with this guy from way back at the start of your UA-cam.
More friend competitions, please! You and your friends are so wholesome together and it’s fun watching you guys talk to each other about strategies and stats!
As a poison type enthusiast, watching these two struggle to win with Poison for so long hurts my soul
I thought this is gonna be a monotype challenge not a "uh i have a pokémon with the worst type in my team" challenge.
And the funny thing is that Bug and Ice typings are so crippling they might as well have been a monotype of Fighting or something
No because then Wolfy would have to lose an online battle, guy can't let himself do that
Yeah, the video is fun enough just since they're enjoying theirselves and they're good entertainers, but Volcarona and Amoonguss aren't exactly liabilities.

lmao the editing at 20:05 "i fell sorry for the wolfey's editor trying to get this into 25 mins" immediately followed by "its so doomed!"
I love how they're still so supportive of each other
Wolfey says "I was so close, I was almost there" so often it makes me think he's closer to 50 years old than 20
I love watching your battle videos! I am hesitant about it but I would eventually like to do ranked battles so watching these are a big help because it tells me your thoughts during a battle and gives me ideas to things worth thinking about.
Don’t be hesitant! It’s really easy to borrow and try a rental team, even if you loose it’s totally ok!

its incredible how wolfey is sponsoring all the games i like
I LOVED seeing you go for very weird and gimmicky Pokémon for your choices for the challenge
This type of content is fun, but I feel like I don't learn stuff out of them as much as I do from regular videos, since there's less explanation, predictions, and some context of battles gets cut out for the sake of showing what your friend is going
You should do one where you have to give the other person a team or give them two random Pokémon they have to add in
Despite the anxiety everyone feels in this challenge, I find these videos strangely relaxing to watch.
Ever since Wolf said he takes any and all sponsorships you can really hear it and i love it 🤣
