Honestly I'm sure a bunch of them who probably naturally have no gaming experience, will likely think back on this wedding and ponder over the distant memory of such melodies. The ambiance the songs bring likely have painted this wedding in a very unique way for the attendees

The fact that this is the first song in the game is a real gut-punch. It's *painfully* beautiful.
Especially when you hear it later on after you realize just what the situation is...and how hopeless the main character's situation is personally while they lie to everyone to keep their spirits up.
I LOVE that my generation is getting to the age where we're able to do this type of stuff.
I’m in my mid 30s and I finally got fed up wanting to do something creative. I downloaded a guitar lesson app with the goal of playing my favorite songs from Final Fantasy and other RPG’s.
I do find it a bit amusing that “traditional” music wasn’t motivational enough lol
@@AquiousKit makes perfect sense to me honestly. I’ve been more moved, inspired, and touched by games and their music than I ever have by the “classic composers” and it’s what gave me my entire love of music and the drive to learn to play, too.

In all of my 30 years of gaming, this piece truly stands high above all else. One of the best pieces of music ever composed, bittersweet and connects so strongly to the FFX story. Well played, nailed it on that piano! I bet no one else in the room even know what it was

To be fair, they're talking to relatives and friends that all probably flew or drove half the country to get together. Weddings and funerals are the only time the vast majority of families get together like this. I know it's beautiful piano, but let's be real here.

One of the most beautiful pieces in all of the Final Fantasy games. FFX has been & always will be my favorite. The fact that those people didn't recognize what it was from or even take the time to just appreciate such a beautiful song is truly saddening.
Hearing played on piano does seem to add to the melancholy nature of the game. What a great song.

Ever since I played my first Final Fantasy (8) when I was like around 10 I was hooked with Video Game soundtracks and Movie soundtracks. I always said video game music is basically the modern version of ''classical music'' and I wish it would get more recognition even have their own prominent spot in awards shows.
@El_Crazyknight Nobuo Uematsu specifically takes a lot of classical influence - video game music spans all genres of music however.
@@ryno4ever433 oh for sure 100% just saying like someone like Nobuo ,I would put him up there with the classical music geniuses of history in my opinion.

Customers, staff... “Final Fantasy eh?” one guy said. Another couple just said nothing but I could see from the look on their faces they knew as well.

I have had videos from this guy show up on my feed lately, Zelda music and now FFX. All I can say is he is playing them perfectly and I can just close my eyes and it brings me right back to when I first played those games. They were not aware they were literally listening to the greatest piece ever composed. I could listen to every iteration of this song from the slow piano to the electric guitar and never get tired of it. I never played Final Fantasy after the 3rd one (USA Super Nintendo one), but I can definitely recognize and respect a masterpiece when I hear one.
