Bobby was very active in his exploring in this video that's one of my favorite parts of the videos too see where he tries to go next 🐻
Haha the calico champagne looked like he was wearing a tupee
And I love Bobby---such a character. (Jan Griffiths).
Great video and perfect timing. I’ve always been a huge fan of the champagnes would be a fun project to work with.
Great video as always Chris ,but just wanted to point out that the Mystic is in fact part of the BEL complex in fact some people will tell you that the mystic and the phantom are the same thing Mojave/Phantom = purple passion Mojave /Mystic = mystic potion which look the same .....not all snakes in the BEL complex make an all white snake
Bobby! 🤣🤣🤣 First time I saw the original Champagne, I though "Well, it's amber - and the pattern looks like bubbles!" Funny how the Leopard overlays it' spots and bars over the bubbles - so they're not bubbles any more. Banana, plain Pastel, and Albino sort of keeps the bubbles. Everything else changes it all.
I'm going to get a pied male to breed with next season. The hets are gorgeous, and look like a visual pied. I know a pied champ is a totally white snake, which is very cool. (Jan Griffiths).
Love what you do with your u tube Chris
A lot of Mildred's babies look exactly like the Calico Champ at 8:54. I don't have any problem selling them though, and some have more white than the snake pictured. I think they're pretty, even though the champ destroys most patterns. I did keep a female Calico Champ because she has a paradox, but it's her head that is marked. She was produced in 2021. I might breed her back to her dad (my calico). (Jan Griffiths).
I want Bobby he is the best BP I have ever seen!! He has a neat pattern and the best attitude ever!!! He really is bonded to you. He is the best scarf ever haha. I hope my baby BP turn out like him. We hold them all the time but my baby Pied I still don’t trust cause he as an attitude for such a little thing but now my Ivory is sweet but shy and any movement he curls up.
I hate how people pick on spider for head wobble even though champagne is notorious for it as well..my champagne has 0 head wobble thank God
My champagne doesn't have a wobble either. My spider had a very minor wobble when she was young but she doesn't show a hint of wobble now.
Woma can have it too. But since spider and Blackhead are allelic and we now prove the champagne and blackhead are allelic too then it could be something with that allele that is affected cuz that means spider an champ are allelic, but it's odd cuz BH shows 0 wobble and also is the only one with a safe super too odd
mine definitely has a head wobble , I didnt know champagnes could have them too , but he doesnt get confused n is very active n I still love him regardless
You should have shown the regular Cinnamon Champagne, it's a bright orange snake. I'm getting one next week, to breed to my het pied and hopefully get some orange pied looking snakes. I also might grow up one of the just cinnamon offspring to breed back and create a grey matter.
I was also really blown away by the effect of the leopard, I totally didn't expect that. I might have to get into that as well...
Not 100% sure but if I remember correctly champagne spider was fatal or very close too. Just like the super champagne is fatal.
Kinda sucks since spider and champagne would be allelic (since both are allelic to Blackhead) and both the super and the spider combo make kinda of bubblegum colored snakes
I learn so much from your videos!!!
Thank you for answering my question, Chris! Only problem is, if you mix, lets say, a Mystic and Lesser, you still get a white snake with blue eyes (called a Karma). I guess I'll just have to take him somewhere to see what other people think.
Here is a link to Northwest Reptiles site and a good way to help you determine the difference. Hope it helps. nwreptiles.com/mojave-mystic-telling-the-differnce/
Yea, I messed up on that one LOL. I'd breed it to a Mojave, you'll either get a super mojave or a Mystic Potion!
Yes, that'll work! Thank you so much, Chris!!!
Awesome video I have a female champagne that will be ready to breed next year definitely cool to see some of the good and be combinations gives me something to think about for sure
I have a champagne with absolutely no head wobble.
Hi 👋
If I have a question ...
My Lesser mojave POS Ghi (Bel) female pair with champagne is okay or not
Bobby does not care about Champagne.
Smampagne.
Bobby is about.
Himself.
Dad is allowed in his presence.
👍❤🤣
I am not ready for Monday!
FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was sold on that last one you showed, Banana champagne super Enchi. So I bought that exact snake from them 👍
Nice!!
I produced some champagne combos in 2017 and I kept back a really nice Butter champagne and guess who’s friend just got a pastel leopard orange dream blade het clown 😅. So I might go for some Orange dream leopard blade champagnes this year 🤞. Anyways I really love your videos Chris just started watching your content recently and your doing a awesome job man.
Just got a female champagne today!!! Paired her up with our mojave lemonblast. Can't wait for the clutch! Also, these videos where you take the time to talk about the different morphs is super helpful 👌 keep up the awesome videos! They have made understanding ball python genes so much better!!!
Did we ever see any more of the wookie champagne that was orange and white that was in your other video? I’m confused why we haven’t seen more of them if it is that straightforward
I got really pretty in colour champange enchi with nice pattern boi couple days ago but none head wobble nor a little hes around 6 months and has beautiful white belly and super dark brown almost whole black eyes
You should do a video about the sugar gene 🧬
Nice video I have a super pastel champagne no wobble
Hey guys. Remember me Chris? Bobby’s pretty funny. Morphs are cool.im 8 years old.my mom does not like snakes.love you Chris. Can you do a tour of your place plz.
Chris I’m going to breed my super pastel to a fire hope to get some fireflys. I really with my show would hurry up already
Chris so cleaning the rat rack I took the male and female and put them in a spare tub and they started having sex👏👏 how long do I keep them in that tub to be sure I wanna take her out ASAP to put the other female in there
Thanks
Wow interesting my champagne has no wobble at all I only have one though, but all my spiders have it some pretty bad corkscrewing etc. Interesting. Also definitely mixing my champagne with my enchi clown this year. Got her because I liked the way enchi champagne looks and it'll help build my army of het clowns lol.
1 champagne I own and she wobbles wen she’s excited only, and she has bubble designs which I like lol and a bright orange head, I do plan on tying to. Breed my super pastel Leopard Het Pied to the champagne eventually
Love the grey matter 😱♥️
I've seen some really pretty lavender champagnes.
There’s a fire Enchi mimosa (pos OD) on morph market that I’m really interested in
I noticed a lot of morphs that have orange or some yellow when they get older it fades out a lot and their not as pretty as adults.
Wow pretty informative! I’ve never had a ball but I have a corn and other reptiles and was thinking of getting into balls and was totally digging Champagne ball but now I’m rethinking it so I’m thinking what would be a good one to start with around 300-400$ and has potential to make money down the line?
I'd probably start with an older female with one or two genes, grow that out and then save up for a better male.
bamboo cinnamon look awesome imo
I bought one today she is so gorgeous
If the lady in question bred the Mystic/Mojave to a lesser she could produce a mystic lesser which can be a full white Bp also, although some have a slight coloration to them. Dam now im thinking about the mystic potion morph lol To many cool snakes chris
That's really interesting, I looked up the Super Mystic and it wasn't a white snake, but for some reason when mixed with the Lesser it's a BEL.... weird.
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures Yeah its odd but thats Ball pythons in a nut shell. Soooo when you adding a OD to the collection? 🤣
Hi Chris I was wondering if you knew a way to find out what morphs are in your snakes say u got it from a rescue and they had no information on it what’s so ever but I can tell it’s not just a normal is there a way to find out
Probably the only way is to breed them with other combos to see what you get.
I have 6 champagne combos. No headwobble. 😅✌️✌️✌️
Will paring another morph to a spider or a champagne stop or decrease the head wobble?🤷🏾♂️
I've heard that the Blackhead suppresses the wobble when mixed with Spider.
I just got a young female last week, I was told she’s champagne but she has a pattern that reminds me of spinner blast, I’m wondering how I’d know this other than just looking at photos? I hadn’t found a champagne spinner blast
Might have to breed her to know for sure.
Interesting
I’m getting a bamboo ghost 😁
Nice!
Also do u think if I used a space heater with built in fan and thermostat inside of a fridge that it would work for incubating eggs
I'd try it without eggs and put in a digital temperature probe to measure the highs and lows.
Thanks Chris I will try that
A spider champagne won't survive will it?
I wouldn't try it, if it does survive it will most likely have a severe head wobble.
Just to mention spider champagne is a lethal combo not something to aim for and for the question of the day mystic to a lesser would make an all white snake you need to breed it back to a mystic to see if you get a super mystic or a mystic potion
I have a champagne fire and he doesn’t look like that, he’s purple with yellow, and red and some patterns, maybe the breeder lied ? Idk he’s beautiful and I love him lol
Champagne combos can really be different, I think it depends on the line of Champagne.
Does Bobby ever hiss at you when you take him out? He’s such a funny little dude
Nope, never hissed and never tried to bite me.
I did not know until this video that champagne also has a head wobble and you said woma too? So why is it that only spiders get the bad rep and no one seems to bring up the other two?
I actually think the Champagne is worse than the Spider LOL
I was actually at my local reptile expo yesterday and was so close to leaving with a new spider hatchling!
What morphs do the bamboo morphs have issues with?
None that I know of!
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures Thank you. That's good to know. My wife and I are going to get a bamboo male to pair with our 2 females.
The champagne is insane
Meant to say mimosa
****
Bobby
I don't have any champagne morphe in my collection
I want to see banana leopard champagne
Chris hardwick how do we buy ball pythons from you and do you sell online
I'm selling the Denver Repticon on October 19-20, 2019. After that I'll post on Morphmarket.
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures thank you I'll be waiting to see what you have left.
Mystic is just as much a part of the bel complex as phantom.
I don't think it is, check out this Super Mystic, not a BEL
www.morphmarket.com/us/c/reptiles/pythons/ball-pythons/221132
Mystic and phantom are the same gene, different lines. Here is a super phantom
www.morphmarket.com/us/c/reptiles/pythons/ball-pythons/239013
Sorry Chris, but Lotek is correct. Mystic (aka Phantom) is part of the BEL complex. Even though it doesn’t create the pure-white snakes like mojo and lesser do, it is still allelic with them. Take a look at the mystic potion, for example, which is an allelic combo of mojave and mystic. If you breed a mystic potion to another snake, the mystic potion will ALWAYS pass either mystic or mojave but never both (which is how you know the two genes are allelic). That would actually be a good way for the person who asked the question to tell whether they have a mystic or a mojave - have them breed it back to a mojave. If they get an all-white snake with a gray head, then they have mojave. If they get the purplish “mystic potion”, then they have a mystic on their hands.
I see now, very interesting! I looked up the Super Mystic and it wasn't a BEL so I assumed it wasn't in the complex, but when mixed with Lesser it gives and all white snake with blue eyes. That's really weird...
@@ChrisHardwickanimaladventures I think the whole bel complex is an awsome group of animals to work with. As I have been building my own breeding business I have focused on this group of genes and am now trying to get all the genes in my collection. Just need 3 more. I wish it wasnt so expensive to ship from the US to Canada or I would very much want one if Bobbies babies. Those reduced ones are really nice and exactly what Im looking for.
Not into the champagne gene at all. By itself it's ok but I can do without it.
1. Spider and Champagne should never be bread together. This is a known fatal paring. This goes to show how flawed WOBP is. There's a lot of misinformation out there.
2. Your answer to the question of the day was problematic. Both mystic and mojave are in the BEL complex not just Mojave. The single gene morphs can be distinguishable but if it's a multogene animal then to prove it out you would breed it to either a mystic or phantom. Hatching either mystic potions or super mojaves would then determine what the parents genetics were.
Yea, I just realized that about the Mystic LOL
hi sorry to butt into your convo but i have a male champagne lesser pastel; so do I keep him away from breeding into any spider or spider combos? sorry for the noob question im new to the hobby
Hi Chris. I live in Denver and I'd like to get in touch with you. Can I get your email? Lol
I only do UA-cam comments LOL. I'll be at the Denver Repticon on October 19-20, 2019, just a few weeks away!
Look up a guy named predator bp on you tube he steals all your content literally he just made a video about prices in ball pythons under 200 just like you did
Yea, he also just made a video on Alien Heads and I stole his idea for my video 'Snakes in Space'! Actually I think it's just a coincidence, I did a video on the GHI the same day that Olympus Reptiles did one on the same topic, I just finished composing the video and noticed he just posted the same topic LOL.
I also see a lot of reptile UA-camrs putting snakes around their neck and searching Morphmarket LOL. They say imitation is the biggest form of flattery!
