Al Bander Resort Review
This 4 star resort has been in Bahrain for a very long time, however it has been renovated and the villas look brand new. It has many facilities from gym, tennis court, water sports, paddling etc. The villa was modern and had nice sea view, it was relatively clean. I say relatively because we were suppose to check in at 3 pm but they were just starting to clean it when we arrived at 4pm. It took them 10 minutes to clean which is a bit scary considering we are in the middle of a pandemic (covid-19) and some staff were not wearing their face masks. Therefore we made sure to spray the whole place with alcohol just to be safe.
They have pool villas and normal villas with various number of bedrooms. The one we took is the 1 bedroom villa.
The pool is huge and looks very nice, the beach is ok quiet small but clean. It is near Al Dar islands almost 15 minute boat ride, I personally didn't go there nor do I plan to as I don't feel it would be that nice. Do research it if you plan to go to see if its your kind of vibe.
As for the food, I didn't try it however I heard mixed reviews about it. My main concern was hygiene because of Corona which is what made me reluctant to try anything. I read a review on google that said that they aren't very careful but honestly from what I saw, all restaurant staff were wearing masks so I cant really complain. Their customer service is average, reception staff and concierge are quiet stressed and rude lol, not really 4 star service.
In conclusion, its a nice family hotel that is quiet and not too busy. Would I go again? I don't think so but its worth checking out if you are looking for a quiet resort with a pool and beach.
