Thanks. I couldn't for the life of me start a fire. Lol. I had the idea of using the charcoal fluid but thought that people didn't do that. Haha. Looking forward to getting warm.
Great video! God willing, I will be moving from Texas to Washington State! Trying to learn new skills to help me adjust to the temperature difference. Also, you have such a beautiful fat cat. 😂 Thank you for sharing your knowledge.
So this is the Easy way. There are other ways. Your Mileage May vary. Instead of lighter fluid, you could use kindling and newspaper. Probably get a similar result.
I've got refractory brick on the bottom of my fireplace and don't want it to get soaked with lighter fluid. Worried it might prematurely crack the bricks. Is there a way to keep the ease of this method while keeping the bricks dry? I'm thinking I could put the pellets on top of a flat piece of firewood before lighting. Thanks for the idea!
@@haitianmajic Yours might just look different. You NEED to have an opening at the top of your fireplace or the smoke it generates will just come into your home and, if not kill you, be very foul. My opening is operated by a giant metal rod right in the center. Just take a flashlight and look up at the top of your fireplace and you'll see what you got
I'm ashamed to say that I'm 31 and had to look this up 🤦♂️🤦♂️ I haven't lived in a place with a fireplace in about 12 years and I just could NOT get a fire going in my wife and I first house 🤦♂️🤦♂️
I love this!! Just brought a house with a wood burning fireplace
Quick and straight to the point! THANKS!😃
At first I was like, dude there's a raccoon right next to you!
Me too lol but people do have racoons as pets
Thanks for the demo. I had to laugh at “You got the lens cap on “ statement, though. 🤣🤣🤣

This helped me out a lot. Thanks brother!!!
Cheers and thanks for the video
Awwww hell no! Soon as you broke out the lighter fluid Im out. Lol.
Why? Good enough for the grill. Btw this is the Easy Way.
Me too
Lmfao. Yup. A video on what NOT to do.
😂😂😂😂
Lmfao facts! 😂
Thank you Brad

House gone be smelling like bbq 🤣😂
I used odorless Firestarter from Sterno Green and your technique and I've started fires but your way is so much better!! Thanks!
awesome and thankz for the upload! n' p.s IT TOTALLY WAZN'T YOUR FAULT in regard to the lenz cap being on-lol😆. sounds like me and my husband.

Thanks!
Brad your cat looks like my cat haha wierd to see him onscreen like that ! 🤣
I’m so afraid of starting fires but I will need to learn to do it independently. What about when you need to add more logs?
You just… put them on the fire 🔥
Thank you 🙏🏼
But I don’t know which one to pull. I have 2 and can’t tell which is open and close.
Do you have a double chimney? I wonder if you have two flues to open.
@@BradWyant no just one chimney. I asked someone they said “O” is the opening of chimney and “C” is close. I’ll try that and let you know.
I just use a very small amount of pine lighter shavings. Works every time.
I pick up all the twigs around my yard ( I live in a wooded area) and it works every time too!! And it cost me 0 dollars lol
How long does it last..??
Is this pellets like smoker pellets?
Lighter Fluid…. not with my wig lol I’mma stick to the old-school way the great video
Cardboard works great too
Or just dont wear a wig while lighting a fire in your home
What’s the pellets called
those are just pellets for a pellet feed grill. Grilling pellets. Honestly cutting up a starter log into 1" blocks is cheaper.
Thank you! Also how does it go out? I know this is a stupid question. Does it just burn out itself and you just sweep the debris up.
It eventually dies out
Close the doors and vents.fire without oxygen will die out quickly.
0:04 I thought that was a raccoon 🦝
So I read not to use lighter fliud in the home.

Thank you! ☺️
Thanks a lot 🌟❣️
Oh, wait, the lens cap is on. LOL! Good job. How toxic is that lighter fluid?
Its probably not the best, but it's good enough to cook with. I guess it's ok. Burns off quick, up, and out.
How toxic is the lighter fluid??? You must be a liberal

I have a metal tray underneaths which makes cleaning a breeze. It will also protect the fireplace floor
Nerp, nerp, nerp!
Nice.
Thanks
Lighter fluid to start a fire? 😱😱😱
Good enough for your grill/food. Good enough for my fireplace! Again, this is the EASY way to start a fire.
🤣🤣🤣
What in the
I know I don’t think I would light it in my home even though it will go out. I won’t even use it to make bbq
Why not?
What if my fireplace doesn't have that?
Have what?
@@Hehasmadeglad1975 the thing he pulled at 0:016 sec.
