IF YOU’RE HAVING ISSUES READ THIS, I WILL HELP YOU! (remember the only time you will save is after you sold all your hearts.) After you save, buy all of them back, and then go straight into the shrine. Don’t keep saving. 1. Make sure you are in front of the controller in the shrine or close enough to where the “A to examine” sign shows up on the lower right. If you dont, IT WONT WORK. Essentially when doing this hack, you will take a photo and also activate the controller simultaneously by pressing the A button. You need to be in front of it. Also, make sure your shield is equipped! 2. Then hold ZL, press L+Left crouch stick+A button at once to take a picture. He doesn’t say in this but you have to press A to take a picture otherwise it just cancels you out of the camera rune. (you have to keep trying again if the controller is still orange. the upper half needs to turn blue!) If you want to know if you took the picture correctly, you will hear the music notes similar to when you press A to open a chest. You will also see the "A Examine" button on the menu after you took a picture, and show you the option to either delete or save. If you do not hear this, or see the examine button, you did not activate the switch while taking it, and you have to exit out and try again. Try moving Links position in where he stands, you may have to try taking the picture as soon as you see the A Examine when you walk slowly to the switch, or you may have to be right in front of it. If it does not work, theres a reason! Don't keep attempting in the same place, try different areas. Every area is okay as long as you see the option to press A and examine the switch/controller. 3. Once you take the picture, delete and exit out. QUICKLY press “+” to go into inventory. In this stage if you've done this correctly, you'll see in the background of your inventory the controller/switch. If the top half is activated/blue, CONGRATS! Hold an item and go back out of inventory, then QUICKLY go back to inventory and check if you are still holding the item. (If you're not fast enough, you will get sucked back into the maze and you'll need to start over. But that's alright!) If you are holding an item, good! Don’t exit out of inventory after this, just go to memories and try to view any memory. You shouldn’t be able to view it. Wait a couple seconds. 4. Exit out of menu, then the controller should be blue(activated) and you can tilt your switch to see you can move the maze puzzle. After verifying, just go to menu and load your save file in front of the shrine , not autosave. (THIS WORKS WITH STAMINA VESSELS AS WELL!) IT SHOULD WORK! I will help anyone who struggles if you comment below this and please LIKE THIS comment so struggling players can see! Edit: If you’re having issues with your paraglider (weighs you down instead of traveling far), travel to a tower and save, then re-load save file. It should be fixed. Edit #2: Just tried this again on June 16th and it still works! Edit #3 Idk what to tell the people who are replying with confusion still after this. 26th July and it still works. 1.Equip a shield 2.Hold it in front of altar (A button pop-up) 3.While press ZL to hold shield, press L and Left analog stick 4.Immediately after the camera frame appears PRESS A to take a picture 5.Delete the picture then pause to hold item and select a memory, it won't play. 6.Load your statue save

This also helps maxing out both stamina and health because when you have all 120 shrines, you still technically need eight more shines to max both with spirits.
hi, There is much more simple way, the thing is that you don't have to the action of 'holding' an item!! 1. press ZL in front of the stand. (activate should be shown, this means you have to stand toward the stand) 2. press L+L3(analog stick click) at the same time 3. then you will see in camera mode with the 'activate' words shown... if 'activate' is not shown, you failed to press [L+L3] at the same time. 4. press activate button, then it will take picture 5. press 'delete' and in sequence press '+' right away, very fast like above youtube. 6. in menu go directly to the 'memory' (you don't have to 'hold' action at all!) 7. choose the memory to view --> nothing will happen 8. press 'b' to back....where you can see the link in front of the stand 9. 'load' the save. 10. done. have fun~
@@MufcLogan Do you have a shield equipped on? Also when the camera comes up, press to take a picture as fast as possible, then delete. Then exit off the camera and pause as fast as possible then do the following actions listed in the video. It will still work, even if you can't move link and only the puzzle thing.
For those struggling. I figured it out. Hold the shield first. Whilst holding the shield then do the ZL, Left button control and A. It will show A:Examine in the photo. After that. Exit and press +. Hold an item, then press +, and press it again *(DO THIS QUICKLY)*. Now goto memories. Select one and wait 10 seconds. Unpause. Check if you can move link and maze same time. Now load the save file where your infront of the statue. Not the Auto-save. Sell your hearts. Save. Buy them back. Repeat the glitch.
Couple key factors is Seeing the A:Examine in photo. 2) Being able to press the + immediately after you exit. 3) Still holding an item after you press the + twice.
guys it still works, you just got to press ZL + Crouch + A, i guess he forgot to mention that. Also, keep the memory running for 10 seconds. After you buy back your extra hearts, give him all the hearts you had back. Then save the game, reload the save file, buy back the hearts, and now you will never lose the hearts again. And the final thing, if your gravity feels weird, teleport to a nearby shrine or tower.
For anyone struggling with the picture part here’s what I did. If you crouch and press L at the same time while hold a shield it should say examine and then you take a picture
A TIP FOR AFTER THIS GLITCH If your glide doesn’t work after the glitch just save the game and then close the game and rejoin so everything should be normal with the duplications still there
im kinda scared because i saved the game and rejoined but now my stamina vessels arent there anymore and my save near the devil statue is gone... Edit: i just realized this was probably because i left the actual game, which if anyone sees this, DONT leave the game if the glider problem happens, the safest thing imo is to enter the shrine and then leave it

The nerds in the legend of zelda community always have time on their hands, im sure he was bored and randomly tried something and it turned out to work. But it’s crazy how it works, the downside to it is that your paraglider no longer works though.

Gravity Glitch: when you successfully do this glitch you will notice that you cannot glide properly as you seem to be held by gravity. Teleport to a shrine and it resets the gravity.
I can confirm that the glitch still works in 2020!!! Edit: the glitch does work, if it doesn’t work maybe you forgot to save or didn’t do the apparatus glitch right.

I just want to say that I think this glitch is best for repeat players or anyone looking to max out both hearts and stamina. However, if you’re playing this game for the first time then you should do the shrines. Puzzles have always been a huge part of Zelda games and they did an amazing job with this game. The shrines aren’t meant to be a chore, they’re meant to be enjoyable, and you’re only cheating yourself out of hours of gameplay if you skip over them.
If you’re wondering, you can’t trade hearts for stamina or vise versa, because when you teleport or die it will reset. You have to do the glitch trading only hearts for hearts or stamina for stamina for it to work.
That explains a lot. I guess it would be smart to fill your stamina with a regular sell using the glitch earned hearts, before attempting the glitch again to refill hearts with what's left.
Someone in the comments told me this and it works 100% 1st: Sell hearts/stamina 2nd: Save game 3rd: Buy back 4th: go to the shrine and do the camera rune glitch right next to the apparatus. You'll know it's working if you see the word activate. 5th: delete the picture & when you do this you'll also be activating the apparatus at the same time. 6th: Immediately watch a memory, if the memory doesn't play you did it right. Also there is no need to hold an object, in fact this will almost always screw up the glitch. 7th: load the saved file.
I went to another video and there was a much better explanation. Hold down ZL which will bring out your Shield while standing far enough away from the activation panel so that you cannot operate it. Now while holding ZL and keeping your Shield out you will press the left bumper (which will activate your camera) and L-left stick (which will make link Crouch) at the same time. This will activate a camera glitch that allows link to be able to walk while using the camera. While consuming to hold ZL you will now walk forward towards the activation panel until you see the button say that you can activate it by pressing a. Press a to take a photo. You should still see the word activate visible in your photo. Now delete that photo and you will actually have a good amount of time to press + to go to the menu due to the animation of you having to stand up from the crouching position. The rest of the instructions should get you where you need to be. ** when I did it I was not able to move link and the gameboard at the same time but I did try to play the memory and it did not play so after I saw that part I just loaded my manual save back at the Statue.** I hope this helps!
Okay i got this perfectly with this combination..when your in the front of aparatus make sure you have the a examine also shield equiped and camera rune is on..now press ZL 1st and you shoul be on shield dont let it go..now quickly press L and crouch button at the same time..you will see you are in a camera and ready to take picture but the A examine is there also at this point you can release all buttons..now press A and crouch button again at the same time to take picture..you will have a picture with A examine in it..delete the picture and quickly press + button so you can go to the item menu..hold an item and press + button again twice you will see you are still holding the item now press L or R and search for the memory play it and it will not play press B and now you will see that the glitch is working..now just press + again and load the save file and you done..just tried now many times june 16 2020
March 2021 this still works. Thank you for saving us from the grinding Nintendo needed to put us through to get heart and stamina containers. Some of us barely have time to play and this improves the experience. Great job.
I think glitches like this can be helpful especially when someone who has beat the game is looking to max out both stamina and hearts. That being said, if you really think exploiting glitches like this improves first time game play then I can’t help but wonder why you bother playing the game in the first place. That “grinding” is meant to be enjoyable, but if you feel like your being “saved” from something then this game probably isn’t for you. Puzzles have always been a huge part of Zelda games but if you find that stuff tedious or frustrating then there are tons of other games that have the other components of Zelda without the puzzles. Also limited time isn’t a reason to cheat this or any other game. I am the same way, not a lot of free time so I wasn’t able to play this game for hours on end but I enjoyed it all the same. I played it when I could, after work, sometimes on weekends.It may have took me about half a year to get through it all, or most of it, but I enjoyed every minute of it.
Helped soooo much! I did not feel like grounding out even more shrines after the master sword and now I have thirty hearts! One thing to note, if you are getting frustrated while trying to take a picture of the apparatus, it is left stick AND the L button at the same time, then A. It works, just don’t give up.
It didn't work for me at first but that was because I was naked and not pressing A. Also the glitch broke my paraglider 🙃 Important things to note: 1. Make sure to have a shield equipped. 2. Hold zl and then open up the camera by pressing L + Crouch + A at the same time. 3. Follow the videos instructions etc. Once you've successfully completed the duplication glitch (yay) you might notice that your paraglider is for lack of better words broken (sh🤬t). Dw this happened to me, just warp to another place (could be the same place) and that'll fix the issue.

@@GamingwithBennettt as soon as your crouched and have the cemera press A to take a picture but it should also control the maze with the ball. Now delete the picture and press pause rlly fast.
For anyone having trouble doing the glitch a second time, after you're done with the glitch, teleport away and save. Then close the game, reopen and teleport back to the statue to do it again.
As of 2/5/2022 This hack still works. You do not have to do it fast you can hold down ZL then press L+crouch at the same time an look around till u see examine A and then press A. After that delete pic and press pause+ button then hold an item then unpause an quickly pause again and if ur holding the item and the top of the thing you examined should be in the background view of your pause menu and the top of it should be blue. Now press L and scroll over to see memories and try to watch one if it won't let you the glitch worked and now u can go back and load your past save(not autosave)
It still works... took me a few tries but yeah key thing for me was i didn't have any memories to check so you need that to check for the glitch to work as well as hold your shield while opening your camera and pressing the L analog stick down at the same time then pressing the A button right after...
Quick heads up, after doing the stamina part, there is a chance the glider will not work, Link will just fall while in glider mode. To fix, save and end the game, then restart it.
Works as of December 3rd, and will most likely work forever. If you’re having trouble, try the glitch over again. For visual learners it’s: 1. Sell your essences 2. Save 3. Buy back your essences 4. Run into the shrine 5. While holding ZL, get close to the activator, and press L and push in the left stick at the same time. 6. (Get ready to be quick) Press A then delete the picture 7. (Quick but not too quick) as your camera is zooming out, open your inventory and hold something 8. (Kinda quickly) Unpause and pause again. If you’re still holding the item, it’s working 9. Go to your memories and recall one. (If done correctly, it shouldn’t load) wait like 2 seconds 10. Unpause. You should be able to move the puzzle in the back while also able to see Link 11. Pause again, and load your save you made earlier (NOT an autosave) 12. Buy back your essences 13. Save. Close the game and come back. 14. Repeat as necessary

As of today, May 26th 2021.. This glitch still works perfectly. A little hint though... remember to save after giving your essences to the statue and then get them back from the statue before heading to the shrine to perform the glitch and load your save file once done
October, 11th, 2020 Report: This still works, always bugged me that it wasn’t maxed out for either so I tried it out. I tried a different setup though: 1) saved after I sold my hearts 2) bought it back after I saved 3) did the glitch at the shrine, and reloaded the previous save. Note: For the heavy paraglider side effect, just teleport somewhere and the properties should reset.
Still works like a charm! But be careful when doing the pausing. If Link stands up too much when doing the pause-buffering-item-holding thing, he will stand up, and you can move the platform like the glitch worked... but you can't move link or press any buttons (including the pause menu), essentially softlocking you. So careful lol. Edit: forgot to mention that the hud wont show up either so ye.

Tip: do everything he does until the weird button pressing. If your terminal does not take a picture, then press x to see yourself crouching next to the thing. Then delete it then continue from where he was from.

10/10 glitch still works just that there is a side effect but I found out what to do and what to NOT do when doing the glitch side effect 1: when you glide it pulls you down What to do: go back to the shrine and do the puzzle and you fix the side effect What NOT to do: NEVER use stamina to get hearts believe I tried and what happened I lost my 2nd and 3rd wheel DON'T DO IT Thank you for the glitch man just if any of you need it TLDR: don't use stamina for hearts you'll lose them and do puzzle to get rid of glider pulling down glitch Hopefully this helps anyone Update you don't have to do the puzzle you just have to go in the shrine
I can confirm this also works in the "Second Wind" mod considering the custom shrine change for Hateno, and yes it is safe to teleport to a different shrine with motion controls to make this work
Working (02/02/2020) Personally I recommend only doing this on your main playthrough once you've already beaten all of the shrines to get it to be both full hearts and full stamina but to each their own
Same. I don’t think the game would break if you maxed out hearts with only 5 Shrines completed but I wouldn’t recommend this for those who haven’t completed all 120 Shrines
july 4th 2020: still works! my paraglider was causing problems so I followed another comment's suggestion and travelled to a random tower, saved, and loaded that saved file and it was fixed. I saved and closed the game and tried reopening it, and my paraglider still worked and I still had the max hearts!
it worked as of june 2021! however it took me awhile to get it as i did things a bit differently. 1. i had a problem doing the glitch in the shrine for some reason but these r the steps i took that worked for me: 2. hold zl > press L and Left stick crouch at the same time to activate the camera > press L + Left stick crouch + A at the same time to take a picture > delete picture and QUICKLY press + and hold an item > press + again QUICKLY after holding the item and go straight to memories, DONT EXIT !! > try playing a memory and at this point the memory shouldnt play 3. exit by clicking + and you should find that you are able to move the platform through your controller. however i noticed that when you click + again and exit it undoes the glitch and you’ll have to do the whole process again. i suggest that after doing the glitch, you may only press + once so that you can go back to the save file you made in the earlier steps. this what i found worked well for me :) hope this helps!
I'm in lockdown and I'm playing botw and animal crossing for the nature theme but for botw this time with glitches and now i just got full hearts and stamina with just 6 shrines done
This trick actually works and in 12/27/21, so the thing I have been struggling was missing a step so the steps on the video was right, and after (you see examine the photo when doing the glitch) pause and hold item and unpause (REALLY QUICKLY)and this is where I messed up, when you see that you are still holding a item you need to see a memory if you don’t it does not work
I’m bad at instructions but I did it in under 10 minutes. I went from 7 hearts to having all containers. You’ll be saving yourself days worth of searching for temples
I figured out the missing steps in this video,, so, first make sure 'examine' is displayed on the console, then press zL, then L with left stick to crouch and also press A to take a picture (it does not take a picture with just zL, L and L stick like in the video) then delete the picture,,, the aim here is that deleting the video will also engage the console at the same time, that's why this next step needs to be quick.... After deleting the pic, the console is engaged, before link has chance to stand up, press + (pause) and hold something, then pause and unpause quickly, if link is still holding the item then the glitch has worked, go to a memory and play it, except it won't play, press B and notice the maze will move with link, then you can load the other save to get your free hearts
December 29 2019. Still works! I had to use X button to take the photo then I just followed along with his steps after and it worked! Took me a few times to get it right but it definitely works
It still works. 3 January 2022. I thought it was patched a couple weeks ago when I couldn’t get it working. I had done the steps wrong before. I was pressing left (instead of pressing down the left joystick to crouch), and I also forgot to buy back hearts after saving, and before heading into the shrine. So happy now

It works as of now it’s NOT patched because I just did it People are having problems it even took me like 8 tries when I first learnt it just re-read all the steps clearly and you should be fine
This hack Still works, it just took me a while to do. Some things I learned, it seams you should be standing when you take the picture… it didn’t work the few times I got it crouching … and if you make 1 mistake when you are pausing & switching items… you’ll have to start over.
Sell all hearts and stamina at statue. Save game. Buy back everything. Go to shrine. Turn Camera on for L button. Hold shield button (zL) and press L and in on left joystick while in front of control while it shows the A button symbol on screen. Camera should still show A button in screen. Press A to take picture, then delete. Press pause immediately before next screen fully loads. Hold any item. Unpause and pause quickly. If you are still holding item, go to play memory. If it doesn't play, press pause button to unpause. Your tilt should work for puzzle and your joystick should allow you to move Link around at the same time. Then reload your hard save from before. Buy back hearts and you should have doubled everything. Repeat as desired.
This glitch also seems to work if you need more rupees, just sell your essences, save the game, do the shrine process, then load in the game, and you’ll have the essences to sell again. Edit: when you’re done duplicating, make sure to sell 1 heart & 1 stamina then buy it back or you’ll have to restart from your last save.
@Turbine if they find a glich they can do a very minor fix just to keep the game fresh and fun your right though they have stopped updating the game sadly :.(

(If you're not fast enough, you will get sucked back into the maze and you'll need to start over. But that's alright!) If you are holding an item, good! Don’t exit out of inventory after this, just go to memories and try to view any memory. You shouldn’t be able to view it. Wait a couple seconds.
4. Exit out of menu, then the controller should be blue(activated) and you can tilt your switch to see you can move the maze puzzle. After verifying, just go to menu and load your save file in front of the shrine , not autosave. (THIS WORKS WITH STAMINA VESSELS AS WELL!)

Edit: If you’re having issues with your paraglider (weighs you down instead of traveling far), travel to a tower and save, then re-load save file. It should be fixed.

1.Equip a shield
2.Hold it in front of altar (A button pop-up)
3.While press ZL to hold shield, press L and Left analog stick
4.Immediately after the camera frame appears PRESS A to take a picture
5.Delete the picture then pause to hold item and select a memory, it won't play.

hi, There is much more simple way, the thing is that you don't have to the action of 'holding' an item!!
1. press ZL in front of the stand. (activate should be shown, this means you have to stand toward the stand)
2. press L+L3(analog stick click) at the same time
3. then you will see in camera mode with the 'activate' words shown... if 'activate' is not shown, you failed to press [L+L3] at the same time.
4. press activate button, then it will take picture
5. press 'delete' and in sequence press '+' right away, very fast like above youtube.
6. in menu go directly to the 'memory' (you don't have to 'hold' action at all!)
7. choose the memory to view --> nothing will happen
8. press 'b' to back....where you can see the link in front of the stand
9. 'load' the save.
10. done.

For those struggling. I figured it out. Hold the shield first. Whilst holding the shield then do the ZL, Left button control and A. It will show A:Examine in the photo. After that. Exit and press +. Hold an item, then press +, and press it again *(DO THIS QUICKLY)*. Now goto memories. Select one and wait 10 seconds. Unpause. Check if you can move link and maze same time. Now load the save file where your infront of the statue. Not the Auto-save. Sell your hearts. Save. Buy them back. Repeat the glitch.

guys it still works, you just got to press ZL + Crouch + A, i guess he forgot to mention that. Also, keep the memory running for 10 seconds. After you buy back your extra hearts, give him all the hearts you had back. Then save the game, reload the save file, buy back the hearts, and now you will never lose the hearts again. And the final thing, if your gravity feels weird, teleport to a nearby shrine or tower.

Gravity Glitch: when you successfully do this glitch you will notice that you cannot glide properly as you seem to be held by gravity. Teleport to a shrine and it resets the gravity.
Also you can stand in a fire with no damage.

I just want to say that I think this glitch is best for repeat players or anyone looking to max out both hearts and stamina. However, if you’re playing this game for the first time then you should do the shrines. Puzzles have always been a huge part of Zelda games and they did an amazing job with this game. The shrines aren’t meant to be a chore, they’re meant to be enjoyable, and you’re only cheating yourself out of hours of gameplay if you skip over them.

yes, it still works, on some of my attempts i got all of my hearts then warped to another place and the extra hearts are gone, but, it works.

If you’re wondering, you can’t trade hearts for stamina or vise versa, because when you teleport or die it will reset. You have to do the glitch trading only hearts for hearts or stamina for stamina for it to work.
That explains a lot. I guess it would be smart to fill your stamina with a regular sell using the glitch earned hearts, before attempting the glitch again to refill hearts with what's left.

1st: Sell hearts/stamina
2nd: Save game
3rd: Buy back
4th: go to the shrine and do the camera rune glitch right next to the apparatus. You'll know it's working if you see the word activate.
5th: delete the picture & when you do this you'll also be activating the apparatus at the same time.
6th: Immediately watch a memory, if the memory doesn't play you did it right. Also there is no need to hold an object, in fact this will almost always screw up the glitch.
7th: load the saved file.

I went to another video and there was a much better explanation. Hold down ZL which will bring out your Shield while standing far enough away from the activation panel so that you cannot operate it. Now while holding ZL and keeping your Shield out you will press the left bumper (which will activate your camera) and L-left stick (which will make link Crouch) at the same time. This will activate a camera glitch that allows link to be able to walk while using the camera. While consuming to hold ZL you will now walk forward towards the activation panel until you see the button say that you can activate it by pressing a. Press a to take a photo. You should still see the word activate visible in your photo. Now delete that photo and you will actually have a good amount of time to press + to go to the menu due to the animation of you having to stand up from the crouching position. The rest of the instructions should get you where you need to be.
** when I did it I was not able to move link and the gameboard at the same time but I did try to play the memory and it did not play so after I saw that part I just loaded my manual save back at the Statue.**

Okay i got this perfectly with this combination..when your in the front of aparatus make sure you have the a examine also shield equiped and camera rune is on..now press ZL 1st and you shoul be on shield dont let it go..now quickly press L and crouch button at the same time..you will see you are in a camera and ready to take picture but the A examine is there also at this point you can release all buttons..now press A and crouch button again at the same time to take picture..you will have a picture with A examine in it..delete the picture and quickly press + button so you can go to the item menu..hold an item and press + button again twice you will see you are still holding the item now press L or R and search for the memory play it and it will not play press B and now you will see that the glitch is working..now just press + again and load the save file and you done..just tried now many times june 16 2020

I think glitches like this can be helpful especially when someone who has beat the game is looking to max out both stamina and hearts. That being said, if you really think exploiting glitches like this improves first time game play then I can’t help but wonder why you bother playing the game in the first place. That “grinding” is meant to be enjoyable, but if you feel like your being “saved” from something then this game probably isn’t for you. Puzzles have always been a huge part of Zelda games but if you find that stuff tedious or frustrating then there are tons of other games that have the other components of Zelda without the puzzles.
Also limited time isn’t a reason to cheat this or any other game. I am the same way, not a lot of free time so I wasn’t able to play this game for hours on end but I enjoyed it all the same. I played it when I could, after work, sometimes on weekends.It may have took me about half a year to get through it all, or most of it, but I enjoyed every minute of it.

It didn't work for me at first but that was because I was naked and not pressing A. Also the glitch broke my paraglider 🙃
Important things to note:
1. Make sure to have a shield equipped.
2. Hold zl and then open up the camera by pressing L + Crouch + A at the same time.

Once you've successfully completed the duplication glitch (yay) you might notice that your paraglider is for lack of better words broken (sh🤬t). Dw this happened to me, just warp to another place (could be the same place) and that'll fix the issue.

This hack still works.
You do not have to do it fast you can hold down ZL then press L+crouch at the same time an look around till u see examine A and then press A.
After that delete pic and press pause+ button then hold an item then unpause an quickly pause again and if ur holding the item and the top of the thing you examined should be in the background view of your pause menu and the top of it should be blue. Now press L and scroll over to see memories and try to watch one if it won't let you the glitch worked and now u can go back and load your past save(not autosave)

It still works... took me a few tries but yeah key thing for me was i didn't have any memories to check so you need that to check for the glitch to work as well as hold your shield while opening your camera and pressing the L analog stick down at the same time then pressing the A button right after...

Quick heads up, after doing the stamina part, there is a chance the glider will not work, Link will just fall while in glider mode. To fix, save and end the game, then restart it.

Works as of December 3rd, and will most likely work forever. If you’re having trouble, try the glitch over again. For visual learners it’s:
1. Sell your essences
2. Save
3. Buy back your essences
4. Run into the shrine
5. While holding ZL, get close to the activator, and press L and push in the left stick at the same time.
6. (Get ready to be quick) Press A then delete the picture
7. (Quick but not too quick) as your camera is zooming out, open your inventory and hold something
8. (Kinda quickly) Unpause and pause again. If you’re still holding the item, it’s working
9. Go to your memories and recall one. (If done correctly, it shouldn’t load) wait like 2 seconds
10. Unpause. You should be able to move the puzzle in the back while also able to see Link
11. Pause again, and load your save you made earlier (NOT an autosave)
12. Buy back your essences
13. Save. Close the game and come back.
14. Repeat as necessary

October, 11th, 2020 Report:
This still works, always bugged me that it wasn’t maxed out for either so I tried it out.
I tried a different setup though:
1) saved after I sold my hearts
2) bought it back after I saved
3) did the glitch at the shrine, and reloaded the previous save.
Note: For the heavy paraglider side effect, just teleport somewhere and the properties should reset.
For anyone wondering about holding the item you have to almost look past the switch or else you are to close to hold an item

Still works like a charm! But be careful when doing the pausing. If Link stands up too much when doing the pause-buffering-item-holding thing, he will stand up, and you can move the platform like the glitch worked... but you can't move link or press any buttons (including the pause menu), essentially softlocking you. So careful lol.
Edit: forgot to mention that the hud wont show up either so ye.

Tip: do everything he does until the weird button pressing. If your terminal does not take a picture, then press x to see yourself crouching next to the thing. Then delete it then continue from where he was from.

@@pakistaniobama4212 when you hold out your Shield and press crouch and take out your camera rune, it didn't take a picture for me so I pressed x (to see link crouching) and then I took I picture then continued from the tutorial

Easier one is maybe the shiled clip through walls or just the camera one.

10/10 glitch still works just that there is a side effect but I found out what to do and what to NOT do when doing the glitch
side effect 1: when you glide it pulls you down
What to do: go back to the shrine and do the puzzle and you fix the side effect
What NOT to do: NEVER use stamina to get hearts believe I tried and what happened I lost my 2nd and 3rd wheel DON'T DO IT

TLDR: don't use stamina for hearts you'll lose them and do puzzle to get rid of glider pulling down glitch

I can confirm this also works in the "Second Wind" mod considering the custom shrine change for Hateno, and yes it is safe to teleport to a different shrine with motion controls to make this work

Personally I recommend only doing this on your main playthrough once you've already beaten all of the shrines to get it to be both full hearts and full stamina but to each their own

Same. I don’t think the game would break if you maxed out hearts with only 5 Shrines completed but I wouldn’t recommend this for those who haven’t completed all 120 Shrines

So glad it still works, was a bit confusing at first but some comments cleared it up. After all this time I finally have full hearts!
july 4th 2020: still works! my paraglider was causing problems so I followed another comment's suggestion and travelled to a random tower, saved, and loaded that saved file and it was fixed. I saved and closed the game and tried reopening it, and my paraglider still worked and I still had the max hearts!
i did what you did and my hearts still went away :(
it worked as of june 2021! however it took me awhile to get it as i did things a bit differently.
1. i had a problem doing the glitch in the shrine for some reason but these r the steps i took that worked for me:
2. hold zl > press L and Left stick crouch at the same time to activate the camera > press L + Left stick crouch + A at the same time to take a picture > delete picture and QUICKLY press + and hold an item > press + again QUICKLY after holding the item and go straight to memories, DONT EXIT !! > try playing a memory and at this point the memory shouldnt play
3. exit by clicking + and you should find that you are able to move the platform through your controller. however i noticed that when you click + again and exit it undoes the glitch and you’ll have to do the whole process again. i suggest that after doing the glitch, you may only press + once so that you can go back to the save file you made in the earlier steps. this what i found worked well for me :) hope this helps!

Every time after I delete the picture and then pause and hold something, then un pause, the game tries to get me to solve the puzzle. What do I do?

I'm in lockdown and I'm playing botw and animal crossing for the nature theme but for botw this time with glitches and now i just got full hearts and stamina with just 6 shrines done
@Muaaz Akbar im doing it so i can make mastermode less repetitive, because on the normal mode i have one hundred percent the game

November 25. This works
This trick actually works and in 12/27/21, so the thing I have been struggling was missing a step so the steps on the video was right, and after (you see examine the photo when doing the glitch) pause and hold item and unpause (REALLY QUICKLY)and this is where I messed up, when you see that you are still holding a item you need to see a memory if you don’t it does not work
This is a really interesting glitch, but like... I’m just not patient enough for all that.
I don't think someone with no patience should be playing this game
This is faster than... just playing the game and getting hearts through spirit orbs but ok

I’m bad at instructions but I did it in under 10 minutes. I went from 7 hearts to having all containers. You’ll be saving yourself days worth of searching for temples
I figured out the missing steps in this video,, so, first make sure 'examine' is displayed on the console, then press zL, then L with left stick to crouch and also press A to take a picture (it does not take a picture with just zL, L and L stick like in the video) then delete the picture,,, the aim here is that deleting the video will also engage the console at the same time, that's why this next step needs to be quick.... After deleting the pic, the console is engaged, before link has chance to stand up, press + (pause) and hold something, then pause and unpause quickly, if link is still holding the item then the glitch has worked, go to a memory and play it, except it won't play, press B and notice the maze will move with link, then you can load the other save to get your free hearts

December 29 2019. Still works! I had to use X button to take the photo then I just followed along with his steps after and it worked! Took me a few times to get it right but it definitely works

It still works. 3 January 2022. I thought it was patched a couple weeks ago when I couldn’t get it working. I had done the steps wrong before. I was pressing left (instead of pressing down the left joystick to crouch), and I also forgot to buy back hearts after saving, and before heading into the shrine. So happy now

@@schecter5035 I got it lol took me a hot second. You need to have a sheild equipped and I didnt. I got mac hearts and stamina so it helped.
This hack Still works, it just took me a while to do. Some things I learned, it seams you should be standing when you take the picture… it didn’t work the few times I got it crouching … and if you make 1 mistake when you are pausing & switching items… you’ll have to start over.

Sell all hearts and stamina at statue.
Save game.
Buy back everything.
Go to shrine. Turn Camera on for L button. Hold shield button (zL) and press L and in on left joystick while in front of control while it shows the A button symbol on screen. Camera should still show A button in screen. Press A to take picture, then delete.
Press pause immediately before next screen fully loads.
Hold any item.
Unpause and pause quickly.
If you are still holding item, go to play memory. If it doesn't play, press pause button to unpause. Your tilt should work for puzzle and your joystick should allow you to move Link around at the same time. Then reload your hard save from before. Buy back hearts and you should have doubled everything. Repeat as desired.
dcthegreatest24 Yooo best explanation I’ve seen. I’m working on completing all 120 Shrines but definitely gonna try this.
This glitch also seems to work if you need more rupees, just sell your essences, save the game, do the shrine process, then load in the game, and you’ll have the essences to sell again.
Edit: when you’re done duplicating, make sure to sell 1 heart & 1 stamina then buy it back or you’ll have to restart from your last save.

He forgot to mention that the extra hearts and stamina are temporary and you need to sell and get it back for it to not be temporary
