The way I do a Prusik knot is I lay my loop over the rope, then I pass the knotted part of the loop through twice. That gives me four lines and the bottom of the loop where the knot is. I attach my tarp to the Prusik knot and put a stick to hold the tarp to the knot. I've never heard of wrapping it around the rope a number of turns. It didn't seem to be as strong a Prusik knot as most people do it. I'm not sure how you would attach a tarp doing it the way you are doing it.
Keep up the good work Dave 👍
thank you
