Kurihara Den-en Railway was originally constructed as Kurihara Tramway in 1921, to connect Tohoku Mainline of Japan National Railway and Hosokura mine in Miyagi Prefecture. Because of the closure of Hosokura mine in 1988, the railway service was transferred to the local goverment in 1993. The railway was originally electrified, but trains were switched to diesel cars at that time. The footages in this movie was taken in 2006, most of the poles and overhead wires were still remained. And we could see some semaphores and tokens for the single track operation. The line was finally abandoned in 2007.

In the video "[RhB] Brusio Spiral Viaduct, Rhaetian Railway, Switzerland" posted on January 31, 2020,
I got to know Amesh2009. I'm a RhB fan who's only been a year old.
I was deeply moved by the scene at the beginning of the Brusio Spiral Viaduct video, and I thought that the sensibility that fits in your camera lens was wonderful.
And I thought it that you aren't a normal youtuber. Furthermore, surprisingly, you learned from this video and the seaside line video that Japanese railway videos are also posted. Those images and sounds are also wonderful! Furthermore, the mysterious Amesh 2009 wrapped in a veil. Who are you posting nice videos? >>>(by Google translate)
