Julia wanted to do this at home. So we did.
We went all out on this incredible 2 week journey creating not only the traditional Japanese Somen Noodle Recipe, but also the Bamboo Noodle Slide, which we surprised some friends and neighbors with in the common space of our apartment.

I think the bamboo helps to slow the water flow as it'll have those small sections of bumps where the water and noodles would catch on.

I think the water speed is to high and the PVC pipe should be not so high up on the concrete blocks!
You should make another video and change the angle of the PVC pipe and the pressure of the water.

Your angle of the chute was too high. You needed to take one brick out at the top and it would have been perfectly manageable. Fun idea though.
Yeah theta being 45° ratio of the hypotenuse (the bamboo) to the bricks was 1/√2 which was practically too high if the ratio would have been 1/2 i.e sin∅= 1/2 the flow would have been slower making it more easier. You would either have to reduce the bricks as stated by my friend here or increase the length of the hypotenuse that is the bamboo, that way the value of theta would decrease making the slope lesser and easier and fun to eat.
