  • Sash and case window restoration and repairs across Edinburgh.
EPS Sash & Case is a family-run, Edinburgh company specialising in the repair, restoration, and refurbishment of exterior and interior traditional sash and case windows. As one of Edinburgh’s original window restoration companies, we have extensive experience and knowledge working with traditional sash and case windows since 1985. No salesmen. No hard-selling. Just thoroughly-researched work quotes and trustworthy, timely, and tidy service.
What separates EPS Sash & Case from other companies?
EPS Sash & Case are a unique service compared to many of our competitors. We focus solely on working with original sash windows, year in, year out; we set the standard for traditional, craftsmen-led work, unlike many other companies who may offer such a service as a side-line. Whatever the problems with your traditional sash or casement windows in Edinburgh, Eps Sash & Case is a family business with a complete, professional solution. And all our work is fully guaranteed.
Even old windows that appear to be beyond repair can be fully restored.
It costs less to restore an original sash window in this condition than it does to replace it with a new window. This traditional historic Edinburgh sash window was handcrafted about 130 years ago. About 95% of the original timber was still of solid sound condition. It just needed some TLC to repair it to its original handcrafted condition.

Glad to see someone else is doing this so people can avoid paying several thousand pounds for new S&C windows when they are not needed. We do exactly the same service in Edinburgh.

How long does this take and how do you keep the weather outside while it's being done if it takes more than one day?

Hi Richard. I know it was 4 years ago you asked this question and I don't know if you have received an answer . I can't speak for the guys at EPS but I assume they do what we do because their entire system is the same as ours. When the sash is removed to work on during the day we fit a tarpaulin over the window opening and at the end of the working day we reinstall the window in place overnight and then remove it again the following morning to start again.
This only takes about 10 minutes and it does not affect any of the work.
      I hope this helps.

"Shield". I'd also be concerned here that the window repair would not last the test of time.

Hope your restoration works better than your spelling. Dulux Weathershield won’t last. Linseed paint will.
