My saffron is flowering right now, and thanks to what I just learned from you guys, I will try to make it the super nagan(sp?) type. I love the flowers, they are so fragrant. Such an easy plant, its a shame more people don't grow it
If you're in an eara where u can grow this spice then u should. My family is from America 🇺🇸 my parents got my name Saffron out of The Holy Bible 73 years ago song of Solomon chapter 4 verse 14 Jesus grew a garden of healthy foods in his garden he grew veggies fruit trees Saffron and Cinnamon spice. Jesus had Cooking Chef's And they would cook delicious healthy foods with Saffron and Cinnamon and other spices he called Saffron and Cinnamon his precious spices. Remember God created all good things he created us. May God bless!!
5,000 vs. 50,000, lmaooooooo! You guys are hilarious, hahaha. I just put mine, which I forgot in the shipping box way too long, into a pot today. Not sure if I'm going to get any flowers, but I hope so!
I purchased 10 bulbs. I live in zone 5b. I have a feeling I may sacrifice 5 to leave in the ground over the winter and 5 to bring indoors to determine if they can tolerate my hardy zone. As I know the thrive in zone 6-8. So I’m curious if you leave them in the ground over the winter? And if so, have they multiplied? Rapidly ? Or not.
Thank you very much for recording and posting this. Question: Will the saffron plant continue to grow and reproduce more flowers after you've picked the initial flowers, and if so, how many times will it continue to reproduce?
each bulb only produces one flower but over the years the bulbs will multiply and will be separated to increase the amount of plants so you would get more flowers but I guess would also require more space.
Thanks for the information, brushing up on videos.this is my second year going to grow saffron and with inherited land I'm going to start a micro-saffron farm. God let your will be done Amen. From a Minister
are you located in canada? Looking to plant mine soon and I am not sure if they will withstand winters here, or if they have to be dug up? assuming leaving them in the ground would be way better when possible so they can multiply ?
that's my question too!! I live in southern ontario and have been wondering if they will survive since I think normally they are grown zone 6 and higher. If they are dug up though they wont be able to multiply.
One question I ask you this all process starts from bulbs planting, you didn’t show that how to plant bulbs in ground , how much should be deep in ground how much put water everyday, and we plant bulbs in one row OR zick Zak or defferent direction ? Please reply ll appreciate 😊

So cool to learn. I just dont understand why people would seek for something so hard and so expensive to use just for its color. After all, it is just food. Is it because of good marketing or the high price tag? People use it bc it rare or bc it is good?
