My saffron is flowering right now, and thanks to what I just learned from you guys, I will try to make it the super nagan(sp?) type. I love the flowers, they are so fragrant. Such an easy plant, its a shame more people don't grow it

If you're in an eara where u can grow this spice then u should. My family is from America 🇺🇸 my parents got my name Saffron out of The Holy Bible 73 years ago song of Solomon chapter 4 verse 14 Jesus grew a garden of healthy foods in his garden he grew veggies fruit trees
      Saffron and Cinnamon spice.
Jesus had Cooking Chef's And they would cook delicious healthy foods with Saffron and Cinnamon and other spices he called Saffron and Cinnamon his precious spices.
Remember God created all good things he created us. May God bless!!

I purchased 10 bulbs. I live in zone 5b. I have a feeling I may sacrifice 5 to leave in the ground over the winter and 5 to bring indoors to determine if they can tolerate my hardy zone. As I know the thrive in zone 6-8. So I’m curious if you leave them in the ground over the winter? And if so, have they multiplied? Rapidly ? Or not.

each bulb only produces one flower but over the years the bulbs will multiply and will be separated to increase the amount of plants so you would get more flowers but I guess would also require more space.
