I was looking EVERYWHERE for someone who finally could show me how to make the roots black and the rest grey! My hair is already in a lighter shade of grey since it's been quite a while that I dyed it and my roots light brown roots are coming through (which sucks in that combination) AND now I will be doing the exact thing you did in the video because I think it looks amazing :) you have no idea how happy your video made me!

I’ve had issues in the past with (artic fox) dyes turning my hair green. So I’m going to try the lunar tides silver dye too and hopefully it will come out good like your hair!:)

I just received my Slate Grey and Silver Lining ♥️
My hair turns blue with every dye i use too! will have to give this one a try!
I would recommend using the 'silver lining' hair dye, because sadly the 'slate grey' ended up blue after a few washes. But the silver lining dye didnt do that at all and it lasts super long! Good luck with dying your hair :) xx

On Amazon Italy there's no Silver Lining, unfortunately... Just slate grey. What if I just "spread" the slate grey through the length of the hair to have a more dark color on the roots and a more light tone through the lengths? Do you think it would be a good idea? Would it work? Then I would also know if slate grey will fade into a greenish color or not. Thank u!

Almost.... but there's a really noticeable green band. That for me would drive me insane, is it because of the colour remover I wonder, I wanted to do dark roots but now im a bit worried about green
If I dyed my hair doing this same process, I read a comment where you said to use silver lining instead of slate grey. Would I put the silver lining hair dye in place of where the slate grey was? Just a little confused about that part. I love this look so much and I bought the kit. Just wasn't sure.
sabrina benson Well the reason why I would recommend the silver lining is because slate grey faded to blue and the silver lining didnt. So I ended up having blue roots while the rest was of my hair was silver. But of course when you're only going to use silver lining you wont get darker roots, your hair will just be one shade of silver. But its honestly just up to what you want! If you dont mind having blue roots you can just use the slate grey, and maybe It wont even fade to blue on your hair (because all hair reacts differently to hair dye). But if you're only going to use silver lining you should also dye your roots with that color. Hope this helps :)

+Sophie B ik heb ze gratis gelegen dus weet helaas niet hoe het met bezorgkosten zit. Ik vind zelf berina a21 ook een hele goede zilvere verf, kan je op eBay kopen. Zou wel kunnen dat die verf je haar aan het begin een blauwe tint geeft maar na 2x wassen is dat er helemaal uit en is het mooi licht zilver :)

Ik heb het idee dat het zo paars gaat uitvallen kijkend naar de potjes en de website voorbeeld hahaha.. Maar het word dus echt mooi grijs? Ik heb nu een asblond tint (bij de kapper laten doen), maar wilde het grijs. Helaas hadden ze niet goed geluisterd en er dus een as toner in gedaan. Deze valt dus niet paars en blauw uit? Just to be sure? ;)

I honestly don't think thats possible unless you get your hair done at a salon and get an olaplex treatment everytime you bleach it (but we both know that that is just way to expensive haha) Sadly silver is a really difficult color to get and to maintain, so you do have to make some sacrifices :( But to make the silver color last as long as possible you shouldn't wash your hair more than twice a week and use a good silver shampoo (fudge has a really nice one) hope this helps xx

Sandra Yang If I were you I would get 2 pots of hair dye. Dont know how thick your hair is, but 1 pot wasnt enough for my hair :)

I always wash my hair with silver shampoo to maintain the silver color and I use an argain oil hair mask once every two weeks to put some moisture back into my hair :)
+Crystal Lindy My hair is just so dry, I think I just might give the oil a try. I've always been so scared to do it, thanks for taking the time to reply hun!
My hair is also really really dry I ruined it with all the bleaching, but at least I have the color I want haha. You can also try to put a little bit of coconut oil on the ends of your hair after you washed it and just leave it in. That also helps making it less dry. Good luck with you hair :)

Heeey, heb mn haar nu al een paar keer gewassen en die lichte zilvere verf (silver lining) blijf best goed zitten! Alleen die donkere zilver verf (slate grey) is echt super blauw geworden, is gewoon niet meer te zien dat dat ooit zilver was haha. Dus die is niet echt aan te raden, maar de lichte zilvere sws wel!

The Slate Grey faded into a blue, but the silver lining almost didnt fade at all. It stayed silver for sooo long. So I would really recommend that one :)
so if it fade to blue it could stain your hair green? I had prob;em with trying to dye my hair silver/grey and it turn green and wouldnt go anywhere before.. dont wannt go through that again :(
I've never had a problem with blue hair fading to green. Most silver hair dyes that I've used gave my hair a blue tint and that eventually faded out completely without any problems. The only time my hair faded to green was when I used the arctic fox silver hair dye, that turned my hair green after washing it one time (that is the green tint you see in the video) and that was most definitely because of the poor quality of that specific hair dye because I saw a lot of reviews of people experiencing the same problem. But other than that I've never had a problem with my hair fading to green, hope this helps :)

green is a stain on your hair that doesn't come out for shit, but if you remove it to a really pale pale green and apply a baby pink (pink dye mixed w conditioner) over it it tones it to silver/grey :)x

Step one: have hair that actually gets white.
My hair is naturally black, so the lightest I can get is usually a yellow. Even then, I have to bleach it like 4x. 😭
