Andrew (Keiynan Lonsdale) has a major problem: he can’t stay away from the toxic boyfriend who just dumped him. His meddling friends (Dylan Sprouse and Sarah Hyland) decide to help him by creating “Cristiano,” a perfect fake boyfriend on social media. Problem solved, right? Wrong! As Cristiano goes viral and becomes a worldwide sensation, Andrew meets his real-life dream guy, Rafi, a charming restaurant owner. Now, Andrew must find a way to put an end to the fake fling, evade his jealous ex, and win Rafi’s heart in this fun and hilarious comedy about the crazy things we do for love.

Um... I thought this would be a cute rom-com about understanding that it's fine to be alone rather than waste time on people who don't want the same things as you. But then it went into borderline thriller territory with the weird friend. It may have started as a VERY elaborate plan to help his buddy, but then it veered into some kind of self-fulfillment? I would be open to watch this 🤔
I think it looks dumb as hell. Obviously the solution to the main character's problem is 'break up with him and date someone else' but no, none of the characters in the movie are smart enough to think of that.
A gay movie where the characters are not perpetual clichés with a love triangle story (maybe even a square)? It looks interesting can't wait to watch it !
i mean they kinda are. all conventionally attractive, muscular white guys and pretty much every person the MC dates is white
I love the fact that none of them carried the stereotypical girlie gay guy. They all had a sense of masculinity which was cool for a change. Loved the movie

I want more references to this movie in a sequel to "The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent" ("El Insoportable Peso del Talento" as the Spanish translation should have been, stop mistranslating movie titles into Spanish). ❤️

Seems like there's a lot of very wrong things with this whole idea. The manipulation, the lying, the whole thing embraces a toxic dating style. This is really bad.
i mean... this is exactly the message the film wants to bring across? it is not like the whole idea is romanticized, you can already see from the trailer that it is going downhill for them.

The whole idea of the movie is nothing more than a copy and past of a copy and past of another copy and past from a gay movie before them. Don't get me wrong, I love the actors but the movie is just stereotype on a stereotype for gay people. The whole relationship angle is overdone and played out.

@@suave-rider well because I was excited to see what the movie was keiynan is my husband (in my head) 😆 and I love Dylan, but no matter how much I love them both. I won't lie and say that this movie is great, when I know it's not. I wish the poor was something actually creative instead copied, changed, and pasted all over again. I'm not blaming the actors because I love all of them and they all need to work just like the rest of us but I am blaming the writers, director and studio producer because it's been done before and in most causes not to the greatest of success. Boys making out can only take the movie so far. Need I bring up the gay movie series?😬
