This brings back memories from 20 years ago. One of the fastest scooters I ever owned - no need for brakes at a roundabout! A friend who owned a Bonnie was blown away by it. Now I ride a Yamaha X-Max 300 and it's a truck. I dream of going back to the Runner 180. But mine started smoking at 10,000 on the clock so I exchanged for a Runner 220 (4 stroke) and the engine was a dog. Got rid of it ASAP. The Runner 180 was the most sought-after / stolen in London at that time; they got mine (but I got it back). But no one stole the 220 or my X-Max 300 of today, showing how discriminating thieves are. Both my Vespa GTS300s "disappeared" however. Have fun in Larnaca; I wish I was riding in the sun and on lovely streets like that.
Well you can bearly see any of this Gilera 180cc 2 strokers where i live , they dieded off . Back then it was tricky scooter , alot of crashes . Lil fast monster !
@MeD plOY killer italy doesnt make them anymore i live in the netherlands we had plenty of them in the past now few People stil has it but dont sell it bc the fabrics dont make them anymore
Buy a new charge plug and clean the carburetor. Also i read you got 16gram rolls which is pretty heavy so the acceleration will be slower. I would suggest around 12gram. Those machines are funny you can also try multiple different grams of rolls so you know whichever acceleration you like. My runner pushes 34 hp.
Question. My dad has a 1999 Gilera 180cc, and we're trying to start it after 3-5 years of not a single time turned on. It's not starting with the metal handle, my dad did all the stuff you did to start it but there's no results. We bought an accumulator but still haven't put it in, maybe that will fix it? Could it not start since it's sat so long?
Try removing the filter if present and spray gasoline directly into the carburettor. Also 3-5 years is a long time you will need new gasoline and two stroke oil and your carburettor might need cleaning. Good luck!🤞
Throttle before cold start doesn't bring much because lack of vacuum, the automatic choke on a Runner is enough, i hope you didn't fuel up with E10?? Nice Runner anyway! ✌
@@Chrismotorides 😂😂 . Ure one lucky guy. I hope u keep this buke going bruh. This 180 sp is like a unicorn in the scootering world. Big Ups from Malaysia

Does E10 98 Octane even exist?
normally it's always 95.
