I was born in 1952 and lived in Greendale until I was 12 before my family moved to Texas. My father worked on the Apollo moon landing mission for NASA. Greendale was a wonderful place to grow up. My mother's Aunt Rachel was married to the 1st Greendale president, George Brinkman...with Brinkman Field named after him. I characterized Greendale as a combination of "Leave it to Beaver"'s Mayfield and "Andy Griffiths" Mayberry. Pure Magic....!
My buddy Phil (Philwaukee) in the video also lives in Denmark. Small world. Thanks for checking it out, and if you ever find way to Wisconsin... you need to let me know.
Thanks for checking out the video! If I don't make it back in August I'm coming back to your channel for some Greendale videos. I checked out your tree lighting ceremony... Very cool, brought back some great memories.
So you're the one who made the bridge. We were actually talking about who made it because it obviously wasn't there when we were younger. Great job with it, I hope it stands the test of time. Thanks for checking out the video as well.
I believe where we were was basically the border of Greendale and Franklin. I can't be too sure if we touched Franklin soil at that point... But I can assure you I have always thought that area was Greendale.
Wish I had a collab with Roosevelt for the Voice Over, but she wasn't avail. Philwaukee is magic on the camera - I foresee a European connection in the future.
+Alex Konop Crystal Ridge is called The Rock, right? Something like that? RIP to Crystal Ridge, that place was amazing. Next time you see Schroeder make sure you give him a big solid Greendale Andy hello.
Love the video! Be sure to come back in August, 2013 for the 75th Anniversary bash! There are some Greendale videos on my channel - be sure to check them out!
You guys were part of a discussion for Greendale's 75th Anniversary this coming August. Wondering if you're willing to do another video in the Spring or so? Contact Betty at Ferch's or e-mail me at jdembosky@gmail.com.
