My dashboard and radio don’t have lights on. At night driving without light on my dashboard I can not see the odometer any tips? I have 2008 Saturn Sky
On the forum, he explains that there are some "Spare" slots in the fuse box. I can see three on the diagram, in slots 12, 14, 20, and 21. I don't know which ones are ignition switched, but I'm in the process of doing the same mod and will update when I get it figured out.
Step 1. Pop off the gauge pod cover and the center panel where the AC knobs are. Step 2. Fish some 20/2 wire from the opening in the center console into the pod gauge area. Tie it off to something so it doesn't go anywhere. Step 3. Use a straightened coat hanger as a "needle" to "thread" the other end of the wire down through the right side of the center console down toward the passenger floor fuse box. Remove the panel under the glove box to more easily grab the leading end of the hanger. Tie off or tape the wire to the hanger and pull it down through to the fuse box. Step 4. Tap into one of the "spare" slots of the fuse box with a fuse tapping kit. Slots 12, 14, 20, and 21 should be available as unused "spares." Connect one wire here. Step 5. Find a bolt that goes into the frame of the car for a grounding point. Connect your other wire to this point. Step 6. Confirm that you have 12v at the gauge pod end of the wire when ignition is turned. Solder the wires to the led tape in the correct polarity. Step 7. Tape the led strip into place, confirm that everything works, and replace all panels.
Man…that is sweet! Do you have more videos of the install?
I think you have solved the most asked question and complaint on the Kapaa
It looks similar instrument cluster same as cobalts...just modern style....it might look cool to your car with the Pontiacs g5 cluster brother 😎👍
Nice mod! Can’t you just wire it to the light switch?

Man I need more info bro. That’s a great install.
You'd have to ask a specific question. I also have some additional photos on solsticeforum.com under my autocross and track car build thread.
You don't have a video on how you installed those LED lights do you I would love to see how you did it
You should be on SolsticeForum.com www.solsticeforum.com/threads/2021-autocross-track-car-build-thread.162219/post-2254593
Where did you get the light strip and how long is it?
It was from Amazon, some generice COB light. That comes in 4-10 foot spools IIRC, and it can be cut to length as needed.
Has anyone done a Solstice? The cover on the dashed is much larger and a single big piece.
Could, would you share some additional information, for a start, where did to source the 12 v feed, from the inside fuse panel?
