I like how Brandon is standing right beside Steve gripping his shoulder as a way of being a pillar of support, and he's the first one to start clapping as soon as Kelly said Steve's name. I like to think it was his way of telling Steve that everything was gonna be alright.
I like how Kelly and Steve had each other's back throughout. I always felt like they were one of the core relationships on the show. It's also cool to see them revisit a major dramatic episode from a few years earlier (Brenda, Dylan, & Donna were at the Halloween part too). Nice writing
Kelly may not have always been the nicest of characters, but she had a hard life, and her assaults were something that no person should ever have to endure. Jennie Garth performed her monologue beautifully.
I haven’t seen these episodes. Kelly is not entirely wrong but it could be a dangerous narrative. Sometimes a ‘no’ isn’t always vocalized but the cues are there. It’s a very tricky subject. That’s why they say, “If it’s not an emphatic yes, it’s a no.”
@@jaybarnes8034 I know Steve wasn’t perfect. He maybe stubborn, loud, impatient, immature, wreck-less, shallow, greedy, and party crazy and hot headed. Despite his MANY MANY flaws, rape is something Steve would never do

Also in the pilot episode Brenda was confirmed to be a 16 year old junior, so David skipped a grade while Brenda missed a grade? I guess it's about suspending disbelief for the purpose of drama and entertainment.
@@diana_prince_1 It would have made more sense re fashion to have that during the high school years (early 1990's). California was close to Seattle lol. But I guess it could be argued college students are very busy/stressed so this is why they look unkept.

That is true , but Steve did grab that cowboy guy and said "I'll kill you , I love that girl". After when Dylan and Steve threw the guy out , that's when Steve punched the guy.
It's so cool and so sweet to have friends like the gang and like Steve. I don't think she felt like Steve do "that" to her. She just want to have a love relationship with Steve and he didn't. She want vengeance

Brenda & dylan alao always said they loved eachother all the time & he admitted to her the problem was he lived her more than he thought he couod love anyone " that was the oroblem" Brandon brought Kelly up as brenda did for dylan. Dylan & kelly were just sex which she said to him.
What happened to Stuart? I was looking forward to seeing the unraveling of that relationship. I think it involved a cat being burnt out. Could you please put the clio up. Thanks 😊
This episode always bothered me. It's supposed to be about sexual assault but instead it turns out to be about a woman lying about rape. Pretty nasty. Then they tried to make up for it by having Donna almost be raped next season.
It made no sense that Steve would go on to date Laura. After that accusation, any man would have kept well away from her. On another topic, I would have liked to have seen Kelly and Steve get back together. Always felt Steve was her real soulmate as opposed to Dylan and Branddon.
It's not a yes unless it's an enthusiastic and obviously and clearly stated yes. Not saying no doesn't make it a yes. And the fact that shows tried to normalize that is gross.
Well, in this instance, though with Steve, she did want to, but because Steve didn't want anything more than a hookup, she got upset and regretted having consensual s*x. So, in her mind, she came up with the date r*pe scenario after hearing Kelly talking about one of her experiences from her past in a group session. Kelly here was giving her specifically the message that what happened with her and Steve was that it was consensual and that later, she regretted it, which is NOT the same thing as date r*pe.
Pretty soon people will be saying it’s not consent without a notarized signature. If I don’t want a man doing something with (or to) my body, it’s up to ME to communicate that. I’m certainly not going along with something and then turning around the next day and calling it rape because I only nodded my head instead of giving an “enthusiastic and obviously and clearly stated yes”. How about we start empowering each other to communicate an assertive and obviously and clearly stated no, instead of blaming the man for not accurately gauging the sincerity of our yes?

Jennie did play Kelly Taylor well. She deserves her flowers 💕🔥💕😊

Kelly made the speech partly to clear Steve’s name
But did she ?

He would have been perfect as Gaston in the live action Beauty and the Beast.

Lol 😂😂 hilarious yet true
it also showed David wasn't prepared for college. He was the one who did drugs (vs Dylan or Kelly) to deal with college life stress.
@robinorlowski2449 Kelly did drugs after college years. Dylan too. Donna addicted to pain killers
