Yes but many countries have native traditional games few attract 80 000 to the final game.Have a million watching on tv which is a quarter of our population. We have two such games the other is hurling both played by amateurs
Unfortunately a howler of a mistake by the Donegal keeper Paul Durcan ultimately cost Donegal that All Ireland. Easiest goal Kieran Donaghy ever got. Donegal didn't play well in the final, it was a poor final but at the same time were very unlucky not to get draw at end.

Hello! I am from Germany and I watched only one Gaelic football game ever live when it was broadcast in German television. Since then I'm looking for a possibility to watch this beautiful football game online for free but I just can't find anything. Most time I'm in the mood to watch Gaelic football it is not summer or autumn and it kinda seems that this sport is only played then, isn't it? And when this All-Ireland Championship is played I can't find any possibility to watch the games although I'd really like to. Still, association football is "my" sport, but I'd like to watch Gaelic football live sometime, so do you know how I can do it for free?
I am God/Allah - prove me wrong Have you tried the RTE player. It shows live games but not sure if you need to be in Ireland so maybe you will need a VPN. If not then try "cricfree. tv"
+Satan Irish pubs will often show it on Sundays in summer (during the championship). Also, there are several German gaelic football clubs (Berlin, Munich, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Augsburg) plus a couple of hurling clubs (Hamburg, Dresden, Darmstadt).
Joseph Boland +80 in continental Europe, dozens of new clubs are springing up every year. A world championship was held earlier this month in Dubai, had teams from every continent, many of whom had few or any Irish players.
Now, the problem of spreading gaelic sports in indonesia is definitely the perception of the sport. Once, I showed Gaelic Football to my friends. They responded by saying that Gaelic Football is a sport for autistic people (that's my friend's way to say that Gaelic Football is a retarded sport)..
I'd like the GAA football all stars to face a team consisting of the greatest soccer players in the world in gaelic football... This must be interesting
What would happen is that the soccer players would be forced to dribble because the gaelic players would shoulder the soccer players while they were stooping to pick up the ball which they would not be used to.When they drible they can be easily dispossessed. There are totally different games
They are not allowed to do that. You have bumping in afl which is similar to the shoulder charge gaelic which can be robust enough to put a man on the floor apart from that its the open hand tap to dispossess a player when they are soloing or bouncing the ball.
yes the shit would get kicked out of them.Apart from that its much easier to lose the ball when its at your feet than in your hands.Dribbling the ball at your feet has no benefit except in Football(soccer) where you can only control the ball with your feet.In gaelic football you can hold the ball and run 4 steps or bounce the ball and kick to yourself all the way up the pitch
I'm Australian and just came back from the International Rules game in Perth today and was interested in how different Gaelic was from AFL. It seems much faster than Aussie Rules. From what I understand the round ball doesn't suit long-range kicking like our oval-shaped ball does, as seen by the free-kick at 46:30; that or you guys just suck at kicking. In which I'd recommend learning drop punting.Coming from a brutal sport such as AFL, it's funny watching the defenders just allowing the ball handlers through as tackling isn't allowed.
the round ball is far harder to kick long range than the oval Aussie rules ball. It's a lot heavier than a soccer ball for example. And you can tackle in GAA, it's just very hard to do a text book one, i.e shoulder to shoulder, so it's something that not many players do well or often
Unfortunately handballing as you call it has taken over and the standard of kicking has gone down. This hasn't happened to the same extent in AFL,because you have the mark. They tried to introduce the mark, but it was voted down in congress. The game is in a sad state at the moment and hurling is drawing bigger crowds which was not the case a few years ago. This particular game was like watching paint dry it was brutal.
***** Now and again there is talk of introducing an aussie rules tackle into gaelic. The difference is that in aussie rules you can run with the ball in hand for 10metres bounce the ball and run for another 10metres with ball in hand. The only way you can dispossess a player in that case is to tackle him to the ground, because you are unlikely to get the chance to knock the ball away.Gaelic is different you can only carry the ball in hand for four steps and after that its bounced or self kicked(solo) so you have ample opportunity to knock the ball away plus you can make him hold on to the ball to long which isnt allowed and get a free awarded to your team
Entertaining, but a lot of staging for free kicks. A Kerry player collapsed holding his face, staying down for a minute - replay showed the hand barely brushed his forehead! Quite a bit of that went on. Can be hard to get the ball back when a team leads late in the match and this needs fixing up. The legal one handed tackles are judged too harshly.

Henry14arsenal2007 You can only run with the ball for 4 steps after that you can bounce the ball, but not twice in a row after that you can take another 4 steps or you can self kick the ball to your self in action known as the solo run which you can do all the time. Also you can't move the ball from one hand to another and you can't throw the ball it must be passed with the fist or open hand strike. You can't pick the ball directly off the ground you must do it with the aid of the foot .Think you can remember all that.
I've seen the Irish soccer team play on TV, none of them could dribble, they could hardly put one foot before the other without tripping over themselves. Most of them were English!
Thurman Merman Ya your right very few modern players can dribble.Once a team scores as the result of a shemozzle at goal usually they can defend all day hoofing the ball into the stand.Even with gaelic being ruined by blanket defence you still have to score.
