TAA actually has been pretty solid this year. We saw how he looked in midfield for England this summer and wasn’t great. I don’t think anyone right now would replace the Carvajal that we had last year but I think he could be better than Vazquez for sure.

What did Bellingham do positively on the right side yesterday? Why isn’t there any thought given to Endrick either? The hierarchy and lobbying within Real Madrid are unbelievable and damaging. Arda must now realize that he won’t get proper playing time in regular matches. He will undoubtedly get minutes in the Copa del Rey and the Super Cup, but the question is whether that’s what you want. For his development, he needs to leave this winter. I see no future for this boy at Madrid, especially not under Ancelotti.

Lets be real, Mbappe can no longer play as a striker. Because he's getting older and no longer as fast as he used to be and his finishing was never that good. And yes ancelotti messed up. He attempted to take advantage of barca’s high line, but the players couldnt excecute properly. Vini and mbappe also missed goal opportunities that were not offside. That being said, barca did adjust. They took advantage of madrid’s weaknesses. Positioned their players where it benefited them more. Bottomline: this was barca’s win. Not madrid’s loss. Appreciate it. That’s the issue, they took good finishes when offside but when onside finishes were awful. Think a lot of time they were offsides by just being lazy with the runs and doing it poorly than it being because Barca but need to rewatch. I think at the end Barca were clinical and Real Madrid were not. I think front 3 are great I have a lot of questions about the back 4 for the whole year and especially the GK situation.

I think it’s important that we do not panic. Many of the reasons why we got beat, can be fixed in training. It takes maybe a 2-3 game run where the players can see the vision. Then we’ll see the best team in the world. The players let Ancelotti down. We should’ve absolutely roasted Barcelona in the first half. The game plan was working so well. But when you give an opponent the chance to go into half time to restrategise, unscathed? It’s only a matter of time before we lose concentration.

Tchoumeni and Camavinga were two of our best players on the night, constantly getting the ball back and passing the ball towards the forwards. You mention modric, at 39 he’s best coming off the bench as an impact substitute. Who else are you replacing to insert into the starting lineup?

Tbf Barca has had a hard time rotating players because of injuries. That is the biggest reason we lost to osasuna. Rotated with even more lesser known la masia players. We are just now in the last 2 games able to rotate with class players. Plus Real had an extra day of rest coming into today. Yea this isn’t MSN or the 2009 Dream team. It is its own beast. Training hard with a system that has been proven since the start of the campaign. With the exact same players from last year. At the end of the day not taking your chances is always detrimental. Not trying to take away from Barca's start, the front 3 is in their form of their life but I think most Barca fans would agree, there is still some vulnerabilities in the back and especially at GK currently. They could go on to win UCL and LALIGA but I think these two teams are closer to the first half result than the final result. I could be wrong though. Thanks for the comment.

The first half reflects how having the wrong players on the field affects what you are trying to do. Taking off Fermin for De Jong was brilliant. (I actually would have put in Olmo but I don’t get paid to be a coach lol) Flick noticed the need for more calmness in the midfield and worked. Had De Jong have started maybe the first half would have been different. Same for Madrid. Should have changed something. They started the same way as the first half knowing it could work but ultimately never did. (I mean Ancelotti did change something later but it hindered the team even more) Flick has some balls going to the Bernabeu and playing a dangerous tactic like everyone has said. After all what happened and what has been happening since the start of the season, are there still people blaming the players? Back at psg Mbappe overcame this by changing his position and playing freely. Now at Madrid they're putting him as a target man. It's the same as having Messi as a goal keeper. In the 5-2 victory game Mbappe was moving more freely, plus why was Bellingham playing as a winger ?. At this point Madrid needs a new manager who can actually find a system suitable for the team and not just let them out into field and tell them to do whatever they want.

Yea this isn’t MSN or the 2009 Dream team. It is its own beast. Training hard with a system that has been proven since the start of the campaign. With the exact same players from last year.

Not trying to take away from Barca's start, the front 3 is in their form of their life but I think most Barca fans would agree, there is still some vulnerabilities in the back and especially at GK currently. @@DallyFC That’s fair. Honestly I believe the first half was an illusion. Even Flick has come out and said that the high line appears more dangerous than it actually is. The first half reflects how having the wrong players on the field affects what you are trying to do. Taking off Fermin for De Jong was brilliant. (I actually would have put in Olmo but I don’t get paid to be a coach lol) Flick noticed the need for more calmness in the midfield and worked. Had De Jong have started maybe the first half would have been different. Same for Madrid. Should have changed something. They started the same way as the first half knowing it could work but ultimately never did. (I mean Ancelotti did change something later but it hindered the team even more)

After all what happened and what has been happening since the start of the season, are there still people blaming the players? Even if Ronaldo and messi played in this real madrid side, they'd do nothing, because you'd have carlo ancelotti putting four midfielders who all of them are good in defending but lack so much creativity in the offence, and then you'd still have mendy who won't even cross the halfway line for offensive contributions. This is no brainer. Real madrid has been suffering this season, and the one before because carlo ancelotti is a chicken. And this is what I said even in the last season when we were winning almost everything. Highline is working as intended, Cubarsi will make youthful mistakes, he is 17. Inigo is playing the best ball in his career. Araujo and Christensen are coming back but may not even get starting spots back. Theyll require a lot of training at the highline.

Absolutely, Frankie and later Olmo forced Madrid defence to stay up front line where as Madrid midfield was busy trying to find a goal which created acres of space for Lewa Raphinha n Yamal. These 3 along with Balde are ruthless up front n finish you in no time and that's exactly what happened.
Yeah the front 3 are in good form and RM had to play more forward so opened up. Vazquez was always the biggest liability surprised it took so long to expose him.

A terrible result and performance by RM. You called the loss if Lucas played at RB and you were spot on.
My personal take is that Ancelotti needs to go. For whatever reason he can't get this team to gel and play as a team. He consistently chooses the wrong starting line up, does not rotate players often enough, plays them out of their natural positions and makes dumb choices as substitutes. For these reasons I think he needs to now go and disappear quickly. A fantastic manager and thank you so much for all the trophies and success you have had at RM but you have lost your touch and your ideas and tactics look tired and outdated. It reminds me a little of how Jose Mourinho suddenly lost his magic touch as a manager.
