You’re right if we can take a positive from this it’s that. Endrick is good but I think it may be a lot to ask of him to come on and play a whole 90 against Atletico. I wanted him to start the last one but oh well. To be fair we were all kinda coasting when he came on it’s not like anyone else did anything good in those last 20 minutes. I think Modric will be the one to start.

I like this lineup. Different than what I’ve suggested but moving Arda on the RCM and Fede LCM could work well I think. Alternatively you could make it flatter and do Belli, Tchouameni, Fede and Arda. Maybe that would work too. I like your inclusion of Fran over Mendy. Fran has been way better and I’d like him to play more but I think Mendy will ultimately get the start.

Very good point. I could see Arda at RW to start for sure I agree with Camavinga. I don’t think he can go from being out for almost a month and a half to being in a derby.

Would love to see Arda and Cama and Endrick to take advantage of this and try and get some more play. I’ve actually thought Militao has been great this season so far. I don’t think either will be suspended. I believe you need 5 to miss a game and I think they’re only at 3 right now. They’ll probably hit that mark eventually but should be good for the Madrid Debry. If anything changes I’ll talk about it in my match preview later this week!

Seems to be happening across all the leagues this year too many games too many players getting hurt. Fede won’t rest anytime soon unfortunately. Maybe after break we could rest him but I assume he’s gonna play a lot still. Need to get him rest when we can for sure tho.

@@DallyFC Yeah, this year onwards it will test the team's bench strength a lot too. Moreover the smaller teams who doesn't play that much games would be fit and ready to take on teams which have a lot of world star national players.

@@DallyFC I believe that Endrick can be a good substitute for a number 9 position. However, I would prefer 4-4-2 formation in away matches against strong teams like Atletico. We have many good midfielders, Valvarde, Bellingham, Arda, Modric etc..We need to have more ball control in the midfield.

Last year we had Kroos though. Who would you start in the midfield instead of him to pair with Belli, Fede and Tchouameni?

@@DallyFC I think it isn’t ideal but I think we don’t have many options I don’t like the idea of 18 year old endrick starting against athletico Madrid. I could come round to the idea of guler starting but I think k camavinga is the best option we’ve got

For attack I agree, even with mbappe 442 was something I was curious if we'd see in this one anyways. I've loved what I've seen from Endrick so far though!

From preseason though endrick was less effective when playing the full 90min. He is like Brahim better as a super sub running at players when they are tired.

Good call, but preseason was the first time he was with the squad. No midfield of Jude, Fede, Tchouameni too so maybe that’d help too.

I agree with you. Throwing Cama in feels like throwing him to the wolves. If he would've been ready ready I think we would've seen some appearances from him. I think you're right and Modric will probably get the start.
