That’s awesome! We are currently on one while I’m typing this! This stuff gets in your blood! Let me know if you need any help and here’s to smooth seas ahead!!!!
Thank you, we have already set up parking and a shuttle for the day of the cruise, waiting to make our reservations for overnight stay for Friday and Saturday nights. We have reserved an Aqua suite for the cruise, first cruise, anniversary and the wife's birthday. @@SWAdventures01
Thanks for the informative video. So they let you check in at 10:30? Was that your assigned arrival time or did you have suite/key/status? Could you tell if they were enforcing arrival windows or was it just a free for all?
Thanks! My check in time was 1030. I did not have suite or key status. I arrived at 1020 and had no issue, but I assume if the terminal is crowded they won’t let you. It was really so swift and smooth, though, that there was no issue. However, I always try to get the earliest time for check in so it is less crowded. I can’t say what the terminal is like later in the day. It didn’t seem like it was a free for all. It was very organized and very little stress.
I use The Port of Galveston parking at park at the North Lot. It’s very close to the ship so you don’t have to wait on shuttles! Just walk right to the ship!
@@SWAdventures01Did you do the North covered or the North lot? We're traveling with individuals with walkers and trying to figure out what is going to be the best way for us.
@kaydickey9239 I did the North lot, which was very close. North covered would be even closer. However, what I would do is drop the people with walkers off at the baggage drop off and then park. That way they don’t have to walk. Either lot is very minimal walking distance.
I’ve cruised carnival out of Galveston and had to park at the city sponsored parking garage. I’m cruising the harmony of the seas in January and would much rather park right there at the terminal like that. How much is parking right there at the RCL parking lot?
No, not for embarkation. Debarkation is a different story. It can sometimes take longer. However, Galveston has a pretty great process for the Royal Caribbean terminal. We had several in our group that had no passport, and they got in just as fast as we did.
Thank you for the information. We will be going on our first cruise in September 2024.

Do you have to pay for parking ahead of time? Or can you pay the day of? If you do have to pay to park ahead of time, how?
Where did you park in Galveston I have the same cruise coming up in a couple of weeks I’m trying to see where to park and how much is it .

@@SWAdventures01 Thank you! I appreciate you sharing.
Of course!
Is there a gift shop or a little convenient store counter once you check in before you board the ship?
I think there was a little place to buy snacks… I don’t know that it had any gifts.

It is so convenient! The North Lot is $22 per day plus taxes. Totally worth it for the convenience.
If you didn't have a passport (just birth certificate and ID) do you think it would have taken longer?
No, not for embarkation. Debarkation is a different story. It can sometimes take longer. However, Galveston has a pretty great process for the Royal Caribbean terminal. We had several in our group that had no passport, and they got in just as fast as we did.
How quick was your room available?
It was ready by 130pm
How do you know when your room is ready? You get a text?
It’s almost always 130pm or 2pm, but they do make an announcement overhead.
@@SWAdventures01 thank you!
