Love your videos! At 21 yrs old, my Dad's uncle passed. No wife, no kids. So he left the house & 100 acres to my dad's youngest brother. They auction the guns to neices / nephews only to keep them in the family. The great nieces & nephews bid on what was left over. I got a 12 gauge single shot from the 1880's for $40. Because my Dad's Aunt who died young, never married, no kids, her possessions were in the house of my great uncle as well. Those items were in the public estate auction of my great uncle. I wanted her "hope chest" in the worst way. I took around $450 with me. But after purchasing the gun... was down to $410. And when the cedar chest came up, I was standing with my parents. There was a three or four-way bid war on the chest. I bid everything I had ($410). Outbid! My Dad leaned over and said he had an extra $150 on him if I wanted to keep trying. I bid up to $500. I knew I had to pay rent & utilities (and eat) and couldn't keep going. A distant cousin's wife got it. I heard they divorced later... It hurts twice as bad knowing now it's not in the family anymore. The sentimental items are the toughest to lose out on. I love auctions but that loss as a young adult was a learning experience to never be forgotten. I try real hard not to get overly invested in items until they are officially mine. Haha. Since losing out on the cedar chest, I had $ to get my great aunt's stacking colored Pyrex mixing bowls in pristine condition. I've never used or abused them. I just love to display them. Hope my long tale didn't bore yinz all. God bless from central PA. *Michelle*

I’ve been to hundreds of auctions and worked at approx fifteen auctions. I love vintage Halloween but that man paid way too much I agree with your mom I would have only bought the cat. Sometimes get that I am going home with it mindset. But I don’t like overpaying. . I love McLaughlin bros children’s books.
Hello ladies ..... I love your videos. I am a beader and I love working with buttons . I've noticed you guys seem to find lots of buttons ..... I would love to buy some . I don't seem to ever find them . I live in columbus . Let me know your thoughts . Pam 😊
We have a few ideas! I have a lot of summer clothes I’ve been buying for next spring. But I’ve got some winter stuff accumulated. Thanks for watching 😊😊
I've seen the vintage Halloween Jack O'lantern Pumpkins sell for over $400 each in the past at estate auctions. They are extremely collectible and are fairly scarcely seen nowadays. The buyer did well even at that price and will likely put them in an antique booth somewhere if they are not themselves a collector.
He bought the Indian outfit with the owls and sterling bracelet, all the antique postcards and a bunch of tools. He didn’t want to be in the recap. Thanks for watching 😊😊
You need to act as though everything is ugly & disappointing . Your yippy Skippy Glee points people right to the good stuff &you did all the work for others watching you on the sly.
Love your videos!
