The history of the ZO/KUKI/CHIN began at the hills of the Kabaw Valley and the Rakhine hills much before they were merged into Myanmar and divided by arbitrary boundaries. These hills stood between the plain lands of the Kabaw valley on one side and the plain lands of the then Manipur Kingdom occupied by the Meitei, on the other. After Manipur was merged into India, the hills of the Kabaw Valley too was merged into Manipur, while the plain lands of the Kabaw Valley and the Rakhine were merged into the present day Myanmar . These hills have always been occupied by the ZO/KUKI/CHIN tribes and never by the Meitei. The Meitei people have always occupied the plains. It would be politically wrong to claim that the ZO/KUKI/CHIN tribes of these hills are "migrants from Myanmar". They are not migrants and definitely NOT "illegal immigrants". They are the indigenous settlers of these hills and were merged into Manipur and as such India by arbitary politics and arbitrary boundaries. It is high time we got our history and geography straightened out

You organized the protest, but you washed your hands to take responsibility for violence inflicted during the protest. You termed them as Mob and justified violence, saying things happened at the spur of the moment. Those mobs were the protesters who were called by the organisers. Isn't there hypocrisy? 2. There is no definite order or act that the Meitei community has to be included in the ST. The court order was just asking the stance kd tve government? 3. Be it kuki or Meitei, the only people who enjoy are the creamy layers from both sides. There are lakhs of meiteis who cannot afford to be in the govt services for obvious reasons and the same gooes for kukis. FYI- The police chief of Manipur is also a tribal. There are only 2 MP from Manipur. One from the valley and one from the Hills, that's 50-50. Advantage for Hills considering population count.

Very well spoken indeed and put forth the demands and grievances for consideration. But a few perspectives:
1. You organized the protest, but you washed your hands to take responsibility for violence inflicted during the protest. You termed them as Mob and justified violence, saying things happened at the spur of the moment. Those mobs were the protesters who were called by the organisers.
Isn't there hypocrisy?
2. There is no definite order or act that the Meitei community has to be included in the ST. The court order was just asking the stance kd tve government?
3. Be it kuki or Meitei, the only people who enjoy are the creamy layers from both sides. There are lakhs of meiteis who cannot afford to be in the govt services for obvious reasons and the same gooes for kukis. FYI- The police chief of Manipur is also a tribal.
The creamy layers of kuki and Meitei people will continue to enjoy everything. As an example none of the creamy layer Kukis will stay at hill. They have properties in Imphal and other cities in India.
4. The procedural lapses is bound to happen as we all know how people get into govt. Jobs ?
5. The people who lost their lives in these protests from both Kuki and Meitei community will not be from the creamy layers of both sides. They will be the Poor. It will also not be any of the student leaders also.
