The fact about the exchange between the kukis and meiteis was such an experience I cudnt forget . On the exchange day,We were transported in Assam rifles vehicle and the officers warned us to keep our heads low because there could be sniper attacks . About 2 helicopters were sorrounding the DC complex when we were transferred to another vehicle and on the way, there were Police, Assam Rifles and Crpf on both sides throughout the length of the destination to about Kwakta and after Kwakta there were no forces. On the otherside the reality in Imphal to Ccpur was quite contrasting, ppl from imphal came with their own personal vehicles freely and there were no forces in the valley manning the sides of the road from imphal as it was sure that ppl would not attack the kukis from imphal. But from ccpur to inphal the forces are so scared because the law dont work and as such there was huge security presence
