City suburbs are a whole different beast to rebuild, compared with a small town. Every business you need to rebuild is gone, supermarkets gone, cafés gone, roads gone, utilities gone, and a LOT more dangerous materials in properties that need careful handling!
How about the pain of renters who loss everything in these fires and no support by celebrities. There is a need to rebuild in these areas by going all Green Building materials and avoid rebuilding on the shoreline of our beaches. Change the tax structure for home owners (reduce since you failed them) and allocate funds to renters to help them relocate and set up a job bank ASAP: Okay rich company and rich people: if you really cared for the people of Los Angeles how about you set up a special nonprofit fund and allocate $20 million dollars to this fund and the mission: To support renters affected by these fires. face-orange-frowningShow us you really care for those who helped you make money; workers who help build your places; mostly hard workers like people of color; many of them renters. And stop bragging and showing off your richness celebrities; Fund for renters is needed ASAP. DO you have a better idea? Do not donate to United way, they take about 20% for their high salaries for their staff and they hardly work at all, cut the salaries of all City/County and state administrators as well in all government services. This is crazy cuz this fire didn’t get much coverage but twice as many structures were destroyed. This is a diverse working class community so put that into play.
I live in Altadena and I can tell you not many firefighters were there on the first night when the fire exploded. Clearly, saving this community wasn't very high on the list
Devastating. I’m just glad the death toll is still relatively low considering the destructive force of these fires last week. I hope neighbors were able to help elderly neighbors evacuate 😔 if my dad was living there he 100% would have needed assistance getting out safely. My heart goes out to every person and their families that were affected by this ❤️
We welcome everyone to come to Bakersfield only 1 hour and 20 minutes from Altadena, $300.000 will buy you a nice home, Only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Hollywood BLVD and we have no danger of floods, tsunamis, fires, earthquakes, congested traffic, high winds, high gasoline prices, we have 2 Costco's, 6 super Wal-Mart's, 10 new car dealers, 2 bedroom apartment rentals are average $1.300 a month, and hot days are only 2 months out of the year, and that is just to mention a few positive reasons to live here. I moved here from Santa Monica 30 years ago and I will not go back. Bakersfield is a NO STRESS CITY.
Bako is a literal poop hole. The drugs and prostitution run that city. it’s a dumping ground for cartel drugs like heroin and meth.. I’m sure fentanyl use is big there now. not to mention Bako has become a hot spot for child sex trafficking in the last 10 years or so.. it’s called the armpit of California for a reason 🤮
@@Anti-Zio_26 I was born and raised in LA County still have much family there and I've been many times to where the fires are I pray for them and for Gaza that God intervene and help rebuild lives.
Tuesday night was, "Look there is another fire up on that hill." A few minutes later, "it is hitting the neighborhoods already." Then on the news chat, The Beach Boys helped relate the severity of what was happening when their classic song was used, "it is headed for The Little Old Ladies from Pasadena." They were getting the nursing homes evacuated in no time.
Total disgrace no fire boats they could of back fed the hydrant from the ocean they rum large 12 to 20 in volume pumps.. this is a failure from all positions.
Wow, the Eaton Fire is really intense! It’s heartbreaking to see how much land has been affected. Let’s hope for some rain soon to help with containment. Stay safe, everyone!
I see a CATASTROPHE waiting to happen. Los Angeles has been conserving water and because of this, many trees are struggling, dry. If you drive through Pasadena and I am sure other neighborhoods, you will see dry trees growing through power lines. This should be looked at.
The view from above is terrible. I sympathize with all the victims of the fire, and those who lost their homes and died in the fire. But if you look at it objectively, there is nothing surprising in such great destruction. From above, you can clearly see the very high density of development. The houses are almost close to each other. The main material of these houses is wood, which has become very dry in the California climate, which means it burns very well. Another thought. Before building these houses, the developer received the necessary permits from the authorities. That is, California building codes and regulations allow houses to be built close to each other from flammable materials, ignoring fire safety rules. What happened? As soon as one house caught fire, the lack of water in the fire hydrants did not allow the fire to be quickly extinguished, and the wind picked up the fire, as a result, thousands of houses burned down.
People mocking God at the Golden globe awards was a wrong thing to do! Especially when God blessed them with fame & fortune. Time to ask God for forgiveness 🙏 God is the true Almighty one!
Right, nothing like the "all loving god" destorying the lives of thousands and even killing some..... stop being so delusional. Did god also convince the person who started the fires to do it?
My childhood home /my moms home 55yrs ashes. Im more sad because many did not heed my warning to pack up and go. Get stuff and leave. No it won't get this close. I was up against a wall, many in denial. But I was the bad perosn, over exaggerating. Min 15 months pprwrk. In the interum..... 😢 I can only pray now. Los Angeles' water supply wasn't built with wildfires in mind. Pumping systems and water storage facilities are insufficient to contain major fires. The water network is built for the needs of residents and businesses, not for multiple uses. The fire has also destroyed hydrants and plumbing. Pools are damaged and pipes melted
I'm quite sure they ran out of electricity you know everybody don't come home with a full thing of electricity they got to plug it in so they might have just plugged in their electric car and then it was time for them to go somewhere it wasn't no electricity in the car in other words it wasn't enough to go anywhere you know what I'm saying like you guys are buying Tesla's and all these other electric cars and when the time comes for you to have to get the hell out of here to 3400 Mi away you going to be stuck to so go ahead and buy your electric car I'm sticking with the old gas card knowing I can get a thousand miles away without waiting 10 hours to go 300 MI

It's the great Land Grab
A forest area 4 km long and 0.5 km wide should be cleared to block the path of a fire in Los Angeles, California.
Next it'll be extreme mudslides then next year, The Big One.
Imagine if a big earthquake
Earthquakes are never as big as those closer to the north or south poles.

Wouldn't look like hell there had Hamas not attacked Israel inviting them to retaliate... But I find it sad and feel for the innocent.

Criminal negligence!
This is the result of putting Karen bass and Gavin newsom in charge
Vote them both out immediately
Altadena is unincorporated not part of LA City
Oversimplification
