This style of G actually makes me want to play him vs the definition of robbery he usually plays as. I saw Sako playing this way a bit back and have been trying to play Laura as a midrange style character rather than flowchart rushdown relying on the literal definition of robbery of VT1. It's a lot easier to go with Mika and play like Fuudo (minus double dash super...that's a bit too crazy for me); he spaces her normals out perfectly.
You're finally realizing the glory of VSkill/Trigger2! Been using this set up since day one. Its always fun to just not die. What's so neat about V trigger 2 is that almost all attacks can be canceled into both the command grab and the upper cut attack (Except forward Heavy Kick because that move actually sucks.) And the amount of stun it garners Is almost criminal!
It's primary use is to preserve your presidentiality level after you get knocked down. In addition to that it also buffs G's defense by 10% and stacks up to 30%. This buff disappears when you get knocked down. If you pick V-Skill 2, V-Trigger 1, the V-Skill 2 animation is armoured from frame 3 when V-Trigger 1 is active. As for why it isn't used that much, I think it's because for alot of people early on, the V-Skill 1, V-Trigger 1 combination was alot easier to understand and had a straightforward gameplan. Now that presidentiality level 3 behaves like a mini V-Trigger 1, this combination makes more sense and that's why Smug is experimenting with it. Sidenote I think this video is a pretty good demonstration of an SFV character having unique playstyles and approaches that only top players like Smug can come up with. The game still has tons of life in it

Idea for a fighting tournament - one centralised location where all the combatants fly to instead of to and throwing all around the place. Also, for the love of God during the tournament stop punching cars, the barrels are ok to hit, they know why..

Yo Smug tell me why I was playing Sf4 a while ago and I was playing Dudley arcade mode wellstory mode then Vega appeared right so I decided in the fight to use Dudley counter move but for some insane reason I got a 3 hit counter like Dudley zipped back and forward 3 times I think I countered vega when he 3 the rose then I hit hit then the rose then him again it was weird true story .
i mean yes, you do get that 10-20-30% defense bonus or whatever, but its only for one hit, i think you lose your vskill stack if you get hit and fall on the ground.
I can understand the not running back thing. I have had so many people do that in smash ultimate. If I don't beat them with my skill I beat them with fundamentals and they leave afterwards

G's VT2 is underrated and got nerfed but it's just so cool!
VT2 got buffed big time. It now has 3 hit instead of two.
