I am from Bokaro Steel City. Main city is almost 10-15 kms away from station. It's one of the cleanest and major Industrial city in Jharkhand state. Companies like SAIL, VEDANTA, GAIL methane gas project,HSCL, HPCL Bottling plant, Dalmia cement and many more are some of the Industries situated at Bokaro only.
My favourite Shatabdi is this train followed by theat Howrah Puri Shatabdi via Bhubaneswar. I'm from kolkata, I did post graduation in IITTM from Bhubaneswar and then I was placed in Ranchi for job. So that's why this Ranchi Howrah followed by Puri Howrah are my favourite Shatabdis. But best food is available in Lucknow New Delhi Shatabdi. Bhopal Shatabdi is longest. Mumbai Pune Shatabdi is very scenic and perfect for hill tourism. Kalka Shatabdi combination with Kalka Shimla toy train is excellent. In Mumbai Ahmedabad Shatabdi we are likely to see film or television celebrities travelling between Gujarat and Mumbai and the only train we get non veg food in Gujarat. Chennai Mysore Shatabdi is the only good train ride can be enjoyed in South India.
From Howrah many day journey InterCity superfast trains which look exactly like replica of Howrah Ranchi as well as Howrah Puri Shatabdi but like a non AC Shatabdi which includes all Jan Shatabdis from Howrah to places like Barbil, Patna and Bhubaneswar, coalfield SF, Rupashi Bangla SF, Purulia SF, Malda town intercity, Ispat, Steel, Ranchi intercity and Dhauli SF commuting between Howrah and many places such as Bhubaneswar, Puri, Ranchi, Purulia, Dhanbad/Bokaro, Rourkela/jharsuguda, Tatanagar, Sambalpur/Titlagar and Malda town etc.
Disappointing catering services which are gradually decreasing day by day especially in a premium train like SHATABDI ! they won't give you the tea/coffee powder as same as they charge additionally for it throughout the journey. SHABBY RAILWAYS
If u guys are here to know what foods are served free under paid food services and when?? Then here it is, 1st u will be served water, after departure from Ranchi. Then, snacks after departure from Muri. Then, finally dinner after departure from Durgapur. Obviously no lunch or evening snacks are served under paid food services.😅 Ironically they serve snacks in 2:55 pm approx.😅 That's all the paid foods are, rest u can pay and have.

If i depart at bokaro steel city , will i get snacks?as i see from. Both bokaro and ranchi the catering chatges us same . Or i have to ask for it ?
