Wistar BTT Program Featured on Fox 29’s Good Day Philadelphia

The Wistar Institute’s Biomedical Technical Training (BTT) Program was recently featured on Fox29’s Good Day Philadelphia. Dr. Kristy Shuda McGuire, Dean of Biomedical Studies, and 2022 Program graduate Tylier Driscoll, discussed the history of the training program and Tylier’s experience as a participant. For more than 20 years, the BTT pre-apprenticeship has helped to prepare community college students for positions in biomedical science labs. The Program has recently expanded to reach even more students in the region. Following his completion of the BTT Program, Tylier was hired by BioAnalysis, LLC, a Philadelphia-based contract research organization (CRO).
