  • Remember Hang-On for the Sega Master System? Here's its sequel! But rather than being released for the Master System, or the Mark III as the console was originally known in Japan, it was released for its predecessor, the SG-1000. Over in Japan though, games released for the SG-1000 were compatible with the Mark III/Master System, so the sequel could actually be played on it there.
The game involves riding a bike through 5 stages, and then riding it again through those 5 stages, and then doing it again, and again and again, until either you get bored or run out of time.
It feels a bit tricky at first as the roads are much more twisty than in Hang-On, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes a piece of cake. In a way, playing through this felt strangely relaxing. Although you get told to "Challenge the next course" at the end of completing the five stages, they don't really seem to get any harder. In fact, the toughest stage is usually the first as time feels tighter on it. One crash and you'll struggle to reach the end. Subsequent stages are more forgiving.
