Tim Follin was the absolute master of the SID chip. Brilliant compositions and an amazing ability to produce sounds that you never thought possible. Every platform he wrote music for defied what the sound hardware was capable of. Genius.

Bionic Commando... this tune is so COLD and soulless... only pure electronic sound. One of my favourites SID-tunes!!!

It's like right near the end it just learned it's a first level song and it's saying "Oh shit, right! Uh... Level 1 everybody! Heh, heh..."

Hot filter action from the Follin during that Bionic Commando stage #1 tune. I have said for many years that if I ever win the lottery, on my list will be paying TF thousands to just sit down and make stuff of this quality again without constantly decrying his past... Pure genius!

people downvoting this are ignoramuses. they probably never heard of the C64 or the SID chip, let alone Tim Follin. Fucking genius. No one could drive the SID like Tim.

He did the best on each platform he composed. Have you heard his title music for Spectrum games (Agent X, Chronos) and Sky Shark for NES?

Technically impressive, but sadly he won't be as well remembered as the giants i.e. Hubbard, Galway, Tel etc.
