It’s been eight years since Beth Potter competed at her first Commonwealth Games in her hometown of Glasgow, Scotland. At that time, she was a 21-year-old on top of her game, one of the top long-distance runners in the world. Now Potter heads back to the Commonwealth Games-but this time in a completely different sport.
Potter began her transition from Olympic runner to professional triathlete five years ago. So far it has been a long and occasionally bumpy road for the Scot, but recent results indicate that it truly was the right decision.
