- Welcome back guys & A Happy New Year to you all! 1st day back at work for Baz & this was a fun 1. A Machine in the quarry in wales went down so Baz had to get there fast and get it fixed no time to spare. A long wet day & drive was in store with lots of grease and muck, hope you enjoy!

I have been fortunate enough to have had 2 jobs in my working life and I loved them both . If you love your job it's not work!!😊
Correct
What A Job😮 you need a 8X4 trailer with a Hydraulic puller and a Workshop Press For this type of work it would give you weather protection and not clutter the full van well Done😊 what Ever you Boys are on it must Be Good 🤣 people Behind a Desk think they have a Hard job 🥵 👍
I am a Millwright in Canada, the fact that this old man of 76 is still getting after it is impressive...Add to that the cold and the rain; HUGE respect!
here we have a 76 year old guy, probably left school at 14 or 15 working in a cold dirty job keeping the country going, probably paying a third of his wages in tax and then we have an army of people on benefits, multi generational, no one works and the kids have never seen an adult go to work, loads of them around where i live, people think you are judgmental but when you have people who live in their pyjamas and crocs who just shove a coat on to go get their oven pizza or takeaway and are so used to getting everything done for them, if they get new furniture they throw the old stuff in the street because they know the council will take it away eventually, meanwhile this guy will get a few years retirement with his wife if he is lucky
@grunt4064 > I hear you but it's been the very the same since the late 80's early 90's once the PTB's starting paying more on benefits than you can in work environment - it's a big pill to swallow love it or hate it. If you think long & hard about it long term the retirement age is only going up here on in, so working till in your 70's will be the new norm in 10 - 20yrs time no joke. The younger generation well most will be useless, complaining of low wages or pop out a few kids to claim free money for 16 -18yrs the ones that want to work & gain a life time of knowledge aka: a trade will suffer in silence by time they retire their body will worn out but with a sharp mind a few years from death, not get 1/16th back in all the taxes (money) they put in the system.
The best advice from a old boy (man) years ago was this.... don't let the ba*tards get their hands on your hard earned when you retire or still living. Put it all in non taxable asset..... then it's all yours waiting for you to spend it no one else. What I mean is legal assets in metals/art/off shore/other items not property any more (taxable asset). The government/s have never liked people gaining wealth from normal means so are making private ownership of valued items (home/cars/firearms/companies) harder & harder for a reason. They are slowly stopping it all through pricing everyone working class person off the ladder.
That’s very poor progress for a man that has paid all the taxes he’s had to and told to pay he has to pay what he’s told has to and to suffer the junior/senior doctors striking and will let him down with care and attention in his later life the greedy self opinionated greedy ba4sturts poor people suffer the worst treatment in life for sure
@@mjk8710 Are you saying people should just accept what they have and not take industrial action to improve their pay and conditions?
@@SkidM3rks dear sir I’m not saying that they shouldn’t take action for higher pay!.I’m saying if the 76yr old hopefully doesn’t need hospital services ,if he did then it might not be there because of striking doctors, no government is going to give 35% and how did the doctors unions let doctors pay get so badly behind the times , and how are strikers managing to fund there strike action with regard to people on benefits and working the system there days are numbered imo the universal credit system is very strict and thorough and decisive in granting benefits to false claims and getting lazy sods back and in work!
Hi Baz. Thanks for your reply. I think you have opened a can of worms. There are some young people. Not all. That will live on benefits all their life’s and guys like you and me. And others. Have bust a gut for all the past governments. I would jail every politicians as there is not an honest one amongst them. I like many others still pay taxes Anyway rant over. Keep up the videos 🏴
Great video, it was great to see Baz slicing through adversity like butter on that moderate job made hard for him with the weather. Well done director no doubt difficult filming soaking wet
Glad you enjoyed it
Mr.Baz.👌☕👋👏
Absolutely hit the nail on the head Baz about enjoying your work. So many people seem to hate their jobs. I have no idea how they do it, I’ve never hated a job, and as you say, if you don’t like your job, change the job!! Life’s too short to hate a big chunk of it!
Great content time flew by.
All the best in 24👍👍👍👍🏴
I joined the United States Air Force at age 17 in 1986 and retired 25 years later at 42 in 2011. I’ve got great respect for that old guy. I’m a 70% permanently disabled veteran now at age 55.
I like you etiquette the way you work in organising people
Thanks andy
Bloody hell Baz doesn’t anything faes you what clever man you are I think the wife’s going to divorce me for keep watching all your videos she said am obsessed 😊😂💪
😂😂😂 top man, keep watching
Another great video and great admiration for the old guy at 76 still working in a tuff job and all the young kids on the dole and giving out their not getting enough 😡 and I watched the struggle out one day with his father Another man in his mid 70ts still working we are a dying race I'm nearly 70 myself and still working it's the same here in Ireland no one wants to work there all keyboard opperaters you can't call them pen pushers anymore because most of them can't write most of tax payers money here in Ireland goes to the all the foreigns comming in iv been self employed all my life I used to look forward to Xmas just for a break and the sites were closed anyway hats off to ye guys back on the 2nt were not back here till Monday we'll have to keep working to keep all thies forners feed and housed any enough ranting great videos keep them coming 👍👍
Thanks Patrick, yeah he's a good old boy that lad
poem - 'your crushers are like freds chimneys and spires'
Fred was a hero of mine growing up
Good job well done i don't miss working out in the scabby weather now at 66 !! the old boy still getting it done brilliant .
Baz idea for you, have used it myself in the past working on stationary screeners, keep a couple of poles with a plate welded on the end and a magnet attached stick them up above where your working and a light tarp and keep you dry sometimes works sometimes doesn’t can always sling the tarp above you some way. Love the videos anyway good luck
Good idea 👍
You sir are proper old school. I'm a pipefitter so watching the channel is fantastic you've had a few comments regarding the younger generation I'm not here to coat anyone off but their correct men of an age like myself are the last bastions 😢 reason being is there are teenagers who can't even change a light bulb or their undercrackers it's a crying shame pal brilliant content warts and all. May the best of your past be the worst of your future
Thankyou Sir
Well done Baz!!Still putting in a Graft. Ya man still busting a ball at 70+ that post war generation made Britain. Not like the waif/snowflakes of today! Excellent footage usual Director. You had bad weather but at least it wasn't snowing! I don't miss being soaked to the bone and having the demister on full blast due to the moisture in the cab. Team work makes the Dream work!
I'd of been buzzing when that inner race virtually came off with the outer 🙌🙌🙌
Compulsive viewing , got told off by wife waiting to go out !! keep up the good work
haha
76 working on equipment is unheard of here in the States, I'm sure there's a small percentage out there but most places wouldn't even hire someone that old. He's right though, once you stop you die.
yup
Love the sound of the training video on welding
I am lying here in Gran Canaria thinking I am glad I am retired. I take my hat off to you. Not a bad job to do but a shit day to do it in. Remember what you said. 55 and you are retiring. I lasted till 60. And have my camper and enjoy my holidays. YOU do the same mate you deserve it. Raymond 🏴
I say that but I'll always be doing bit an bats till I die in this game ray
Baz, if you do decide on doing some ‘How to Weld’ vids, those would be great in their own playlist. Brilliant episode as usual pal.
Yeah we'll get round to a few over time, when we get the time
state off them work boots 😂😂 that poor lad needs a pay rise. great vid by the way
Well Baz, what a day that was mate up your neck in mocking bullets I was gonna say today this is your best video but your Christmas video with Chris Alan the professional struggler is your best yet loving all your videos Thank you and also to you the director❤
Cheers Carl, yeah that xmas 1 will be hard to beat
35.52 we used to have a vertically challenged bloke on our crew and he was sent in to all the confined spaces.
We called him the Secret Weapon.
He was a brilliant electrical engineer and I miss working with him.
haha
59.18 probably the desk jockey bean counters over-ruling the engineers and draughtsmen as per...
They used to be really good
The thing I like is team work they all know your the guvnor and camaraderie. You always lead from the front
Looks like the lad was welding the bucket on the 2cx without a ram prop on the loader but I could be wrong
I've watched just about every episode and its rained in every one! Great content and thanks for sharing with us. The 76 year old is a credit to the older generation.
A good man with the gas.
all the mud I don't see how stuff last as long as it does.
It would last longer if greased right bud
My man 76 and still going strong, big respect.
Happy new Year Baz and Director & all the boys, love the tail gate!! Also brilliant job with bearing, thon auld boy down wales is fairly motoring on for his age, fair play to him, also who’s no been greasing that bearing ?
Thanks Andrew, he's legend that guy.
Still working at 76,enough respect to that man
Welderfabber has become one of my go to sites now
Love the content
Regards from a 61yr old knackered joiner😂😂😂😂😂
I always appreciate a person taking notes on a task.
You can get a phone signal booster for the van should give anyone in the area better signal.
thanks for the tip
GREASE GREASE BEARING WASN'T CHEAP. When you doing a truck tour.
You don’t need cold showers in a morning owd lad a bit of Anglesey wind n rain that’s enough to chill you to the bone. Fair play for taking that on, on the first day back the lads must love having a gaffer that doesn’t shirk on his share of the workload. Great chronicle as always 👍
Happy New Year Baz and The Director. I'm 66 at the end of the month and I will be retiring. I have been working part time for the last 4 months slowing down ready for the event. I may work casual just to keep the grey matter turning over. Hats off to him still working outside in all weathers at 76. Great chronicle again Baz lets crack on lad to the next one.
Happy new year1 To you too Graham
Hough Lane Chicken Barbecue breakfast barm, brew and Welderfabber vlog, what new Saturday mornings are made for 👌🏻🤣
Nice work 👍 good honest toil.
Thanks 👍
Get some proper waterproofs chief! Helly hansen work wear wouldn’t have anything else.
Great content Baz you the man
Happy New Year to you and the team Baz, I don't know if it's a North Wales thing but we have a couple of drivers on the tippers who are in their seventy's and the old man was still spreading lime in his eighty's. We used to get some Ag lime from CMP but the neutralising value was poor it's a dirty dark limestone so I don't envy you having to do that job. Considering all the tech that's available to the designers it's staggering how bad new steel tipper's are we're forever finding cracks or component's that are not strong enough or just badly designed most likely the same issue with the bucket bad design load and stress calculation's. Great chronicle as always keep up the good work.
Yeah they dont last long them tailgates, prob not made for really heavy stuff
Hello bas good to see you are still at it …you had my nephew phill sending you comments … i have finished drinking class1 wagons 30 years over the continent mate stay safe mate all the best to you and the boys mate
thanks tony will do
Rather you than me Baz I don't miss that weather one bit sitting here I thailand watching you and the struggler.
Baz I’m 55. No plan to retire yet. I really enjoy most of what I do!! Happy New Year!!
Good man
Would the rain harm the impact tools ?love how you look after your tools and van happy new year
happy new year bud, rains not been a prob up to now
Nice day out in Wales and you didn’t even stop for an ice cream Baz, I think the director was getting hungry by the sounds of your conversation with him, credit to the old fella still working at 76 maybe that’s what keeps him going, bloody harsh environment to be working in though good video matey💪💪💪10/10 to you guys working in those conditions 👍
Cheers Neil yup he was starving
Its good to see a guy really get in there and make it happen. This channel always impresses. But im happy to be watching that one from my chair, it looked miserable.
what a shit day for doing that job mate could you have not have run some weld around the bearing race to shrink it and make it come out a bit easier .a respect to that old guy i am on the spanners myself and 59 and i am knickered myself now can't wait to finish don't miss working on plant machinery did it when younger nice vid 👍👍
I do that sometimes mate, on this occasion decided to use gas. Thanks for watching
Enjoyed the video chaps... excellent 👌👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Great vid Baz & Director I said I was retiring at 50 still on the tools doing refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pumps at 57 but love it, you are a grafter Baz and love what you do, do not retire at 55 it will be the worse thing you do, the guy at 76 is still here because he has a purpose in life, respect to you all, stay safe Paul P
I'll always be doing this even if its just being a weekend warrior bud
All the best baz and crew for 24
This boy does work hard
He is a valuable asset to fox 💪👍
best wishes for 2024
You were very lucky Baz that the bearing wanted to slide on the axle... the last time with our power screen. it was threaded onto the axle. and we must burn it down. . nice job with all that grease.. but again solved very well
Happy New year Baz and Director
same to you mat
Getting off the tools is going well 😂😂. Only another 3 months of this weather left. Great start to the year Director and Baz 💪
1,219 👍's up WF thank you for sharing 😅
Proper work.Jealous of the van layout.Keep up the good work
Another cracking video Baz.
Nobody ever thought you never got your hands dirty bud.
It was only banter bud.
But I did love and respect your way you cleaned down your van.
Fair play. Man after me own heart..
One of the best feelings when you are wet to the core on a job putting on clean dry clothes and getting back to work.
Can't beat it.
I'm hoping to get my hoodie today the courier is being a pain but fingers crossed 🤞
Catch you on the next one 👍👍
Thanks jon & thanks for the support buying merch all the profits go back into production
Nice to see Sam getting some screen time. Always getting stuck in and dirty
Love watching your videos brings back memories for me my grandad worked for Gallaghers at Birmingham for years doing what you do
Happy new year to you and yours Baz. That old boy is a different breed 💪🏽. I hope I'm still half as fit as he is, if I ever reach 76 😂
Happy new year bud, yeah he's a good old boy
Happy new year to you and all the lads.
Fair play to you in that weather, Just lets people see the reel world in plant fitting.
Young Cal is doing a excellent job, training him well 👍🏻
Look forward to future episodes
Only getting into your channel used to do a bit of contract fitting in roadstone got off the sites a few years ago have a small fab repair shop indoors only now I’m 57 FairPlay to that man at 76 sometimes I miss the taste of a pizza at 11 pm on a concrete plant. Also used to do a bit of welding geith buckets in the shop when they were busy a friend of mine used to own a bit of the company they were the Rolls Royce of buckets
They sold out to a bigger company Terex I think .they moved from Slane co Meath to Portugal their buckets are second division now .
Ye definitely mate, gone down hill
I think the tapered bearings locking ring should be on the outside of the bearing not inside. It makes it easier to work on and much easier to loosen when stripping down and tighten when building up. From a knurled retired old mechanical fitter. But great job in the conditions.
Ye I suppose it could go on either way mate
Awesome video, great work thank you, Baz and the director
Llew is Welsh for Lion. He’s a great fellow
Legend
Happy New year Baz, director and team. Good to see you back and straight back on it. Cracking video as always
The way Callum has made that tail gate is very impressive.. the 76 year old man still going strong, that man is an example to all of us trades man on the spanners.. Happy New Year Baz, Director and all the team.
Thanks Andy
great to hear your teaching your daugter to weld I have started a few youngsters on the road to welding One young lad that used to come in my garage and wanted to know why i was so adamant he could not watch without the correct shield . i had a bit of a brain wave on a hot sunny day get him to stand and as him tolookat the sun he stated it hurt his eyes so I put a welding shield in front of his face told him to open his eyes he was a bit unshure till i told him to do it slowly he opened his eyses and said wow thats cool and no problem so i explained that the light from arc /or mig welding might not hurt today but it will in a few days the mask means I don't end up with sore eyes and this is why you must use one to watch welding it is better gor you and me
Just got done filming it
Happy new year buddy !!
Great stuff agian👌smashed it out in the rain aswell:)) topman
Taught u wer checking all t trucks B4 tey leave the yard.. spófer..😂
Welld done young man, grand job done there in lousy weather!
Happy New Year to you Baz, the Director and all of your crew, looking forwards to more content throughout the year.
Hello Baz, director and team ...
I'd be very wary having Baz checking everything is ok on first day back in....god help whoever has left stuff in shit order or not left right ...clean ...or broken 😢 ..Firm but fair is Baz 👍🏻👍🏻
The screens , trommels and conveyors are very complicated machines aren't they. The scale of the bearings, nuts and bolts is frightening as I'm thinking a 19mm is my limit 😂😂
It's good to see everyone working hard but still have some banter with each other.....all good fun and the job would be far harder with some "craic".
Obviously I've seen part of this story through Instagram via the director 👍👍👍
I respect the way tools are cleaned , bench cleared and ready for the next job.
Baz you get out of overalls like I do....Ive done more strain and pulls to myself getting out of them than the job itself !!
I wonder what your international viewers made of some talking from Anglesey!!
Catch you on the next one and happy new new year to you all ....thanks for 2023's entertainment and knowledge 👍👍👍
Gary
Thanks gary
Hey Baz happy new year to you and the family and all the guys at fix group. Is there any reason why those bearings are not pre greased, I'm guessing it makes fitting easier, but also makes them at risk of falling apart.
Not sure but I'd rather not haft to mess with them full of grease fitting them
A job well done. Respect ✊
Happy New Year to Baz, Director and all the crew. Fairplay to the older gentleman, I’m 64 and every bone in my body aches. One hip replaced a few years ago and the other one due later in the year. Tendinitis in both ankles and can’t hold any tools longer than a few minutes. This age thing can catch up quickly. Plan your retirement so that you are fit enough to enjoy it Baz. It’s bucket list time for me 😂 🏴🇺🇸
All the best to the crew and channel for 2024.
Cracking video Baz, you don't have it too easy do you. Happy New year mucka and team Fox👍👍
Happy New Year Baz and the Director. Showing the young lads how its done in wild and wet Wales!!👋👋👍👍
Happy new year lemmy
@32.31, that bearings only flat at the bottom " be rite" 😊
Why you use a brass hammer ???
Copper hammers are soft, they dont break the bearing
Happy new year guys been waiting for this video 👍
Happy new year!!
Brilliant baz 👌 good to have the Saturday mornings back to normal watching these 👍
What a man loved this episode. Have you thought about a competition that you enter to learn how to weld. Maybe the winner gets a few hours lesson from you.
Na but I'll make some vids for every1 to learn at some point
It’s probable that the tapered sleeve on the outer Plummer Block Bearing should be mounted with the locknut faced outwards i.e. away from the screen.
Baz , my mate used to work for the company that imported those buckets into Birkenhead docks , a few times I went there the packaging they came in from containers looks like broken pallet wood . Guessing source of assembly is not the best …….
Defo gone down hill
Maybe I misunderstood but I thought you were teasing this guy about being short
Happy new year to Baz, Director and team 🎉
Happy new year Baz, great start to the year soaking wet on anglesey ,
Belter wernt it
Happy New Year
You were soaked to the stones😂
Indeed
Baz remind to Share the videos with others that are like minded and hope you have a great New year to you and all your family
Incredible amount of work 👏
A great video to start with the new year hope 2024 is a good one for u and family and all your team
Same to you!
