    Hi Jenny,
    Loved the vlog.
    The castle is beautiful and the blue staircase is wow, absolutely love those types of staircases so grand.
    The painting of the nanny looked a bit creepy to me, I don’t think I would want that in my house.Lol
    It must be hard for the family to keep such a place running , the costs must be very high even though they open it up to the public.
    In Yorkshire we have a place called Haworth, it’s where the Brontë sisters lived.
    They have turned the house into a museum, we visited last September.
    The street is on a hill and it as all the old shops all the way down.
    It’s ok going down but an effort coming back up. 🤣
    It’s a lovely step back in time.
    Have a lovely evening Jenny.
    Take care.❤

      Oh, I would love to see the Brontë sisters place one day...
      Indeed, the current vicount puts in quite a bit of his private money ( he is a succesful lawyer) to keep the castle somehow in shape.
      Glad you enjoyed it 😀 Thank you again for coming along and commenting. Lots of love from Somerset to you 😀

    Hi Jennifer
    Fantastic video, I’ve been enjoying your videos since you arrived in England. You have found so many beautiful places and people. But above all I am always impressed by your contentment and happiness , regardless of the weather and situation. Best wishes Alan.

      Hi Alan,
      Thank you so much for coming along and now even showing yourself to me in the comment section. For if there is no comment, UA-cam only reveals my viewers as impersonal numbers and it is so lovely to get a name and even a little personal conversation 😀 Ever since I started posting videos on England, the comment section has become so much livelier which makes me really happy. And really: it is not difficult to find beautiful places in England: I stumble upon one with each step I take 😀 obviously, this all makes me feeling lucky and happy, even when it is raining, which has a beauty in itself though, as well...

    Loved the rolling green hills and grazing sheep. Powderham Castle was so interesting…I kept expecting you to run into the family around the next corner 😄 Very cool how you found an exact image of the stairs used in the movie. I guess the family has opened it to visitors to offset the costs and keep it in the family. I’m sure that required some hard conversations when it was being decided. Thanks again for a lovely tour!

      Hey Jeff and welcome back to your little work escape place 😀
      It is not uncommon for noble families to open their castles which are too big to live in just for themselves. Matthias and I spent the night in one in Germany. It was closed to the public for the night and so it really was just us and the family. There, I got to see the duke... In Powderham's case, the live part time in California and were not in the country, when I was there 😀 Lots of love to Florida. ❤️

    • @jenniferk6632
      @jenniferk6632  6 місяців тому +2

      Yes, I do have a jackery 1500 which is just right for me for I can power my 400 watts mini heater and my electric pillow when it is cold but also keep the inlays of my little fan cool so that I can cool the car a little down in the heat. Extreme temperatures to me are the most challenging part when doing vanlife in my car. The water kettle is from Bear. I am happy that you enjoyed my video again. Thank you for coming along and Show up in the comments 😀 Enjoy your day...

    You certainly found a great way to spend a rainy day. That blue hallway is very impressive and the whole place is lovely, well apart from the haunted landing - your use of spooky music there was spot on. I always find your videos very relaxing to watch, so thank you.

      @@jenniferk6632 Oh I have been really enjoying them, as are other people by the looks of it! I am wondering why you named your minivan Delphine?

    • @jenniferk6632
      @jenniferk6632  6 місяців тому +2

      At the beginning of my vanlife adventures, I was staying in an entchanted garden in the south of France. A woman was living in a garden shack on it and she has created a little paradies. She was also on artist, creating necklaces and things. I really thought she looked like a fairy, herself. Her name was Delphine. I absolutely loved the sound of the French pronunciation of dolphine and it being used as a female surname was wonderful, I thought. I did not want to lose this sound, nor the memory. Thus, I named my car Delphine and she (my car) really seems to feel that I love her. She has got many miles but does not give me any trouble, so far. ❤️

    Liebe Jenny, ich habe deine Videos vor zwei Tagen entdeckt. Wahrscheinlich, weil es dich nach England verschlagen hat und ich liebe Videos über England. Letztes Jahr haben wir eine Rundreise Cornwall gemacht, waren nur kurz vorher bei Durdle Door. Aber einfach alles was ich gesehen habe und alles was ich bei dir sehe, überzeugt mich. England ist so wunderschön 😍 freue mich auf ganz viele weitere Videos von dir und von England . Ein Traum ❤

      Hallo Marilyn Bond-was für ein cooler UA-cam Name 😀
      Wie schön, dass Du meinen Kanal gefunden hast und Dir die Videos gefallen. Ich arbeite schon wieder an dem nächsten. Es ist meine erste längere Reise in England und ich bin auch ganz verzaubert. Ich werde zwar nächste Woche wieder nach Frankreich übersetzen, möchte es aber tatsächlich so einrichten, ab jetzt einmal im Jahr für 1 Monat nach England zu gehen. Allerdings ist Frankreich auch unglaublich reizvoll, wenn auch auf andere Art als England. Vielleicht wirst du auch an diesen Videos Freude haben. Vielleicht wird im Winter dann auch Spanien dazu kommen, auf jeden Fall irgendwas im Süden, da ich den Infekten ausweichen muss 😀. Solltest Du nur an England Interesse haben, kann ich das natürlich gut verstehen. Es werden auf jeden Fall noch 2-3 England Videos dazu kommen.
      Herzliche Grüße aus dem zauberhaften Somerset
      Jenny
