Losing Rashee was so big. Him & Justin Watson were the two biggest injuries, as far as really making the team have to scramble to figure out alternative answers.
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 I think you meant Jaylen* Watson lol and if you did I completely agree! Although he could possibly be back in time for playoffs, fingers crossed!
Man, that was awesome breakdown, to show the dismantling of a defense by an elite quarterback who can beat you with his legs( when he chooses) but knows that his arm is quicker and can throw it farther n faster than he can run, scary man, and I love it.
On the Russ INT Pickens is supposed to run deeper and occupy Justin Reid. Pickens gives up on his route. Justin sees this and then reads Russ and picks it. Russ admitted afterwards he shouldn't have assumed and just thrown. That's why it's important not to give up on your route. Pickens attitude helped result in that pick. Just an FYI. Great Vids!
Russ historically has been a poor passer over the middle and his tendencies are to throw to the numbers. Why he chose to throw over the middle in the red zone is mind boggingly dumb because he knows he’s bad at it. He can’t see over the oline and can’t see the middle of the field well.
@@tobyfalcon1448 Thats some serious coping. If a qb can't assume the receiver will do his job correctly or even try then why is he there to begin with?
Teams have always looked great in the regular season, then they go to Arrowhead…these other teams have something to prove, the Chiefs don’t. They’ve done it, and it’s pretty much same team. Especially the defense. What value does that championship X-factor have? It doesnt come up in the stats. I’ll believe it when I see it, until then I roll w the Chiefs
Another excellent breakdown! I'm learning football, 50 years after not playing in high school (and having watched many similar, not-nearly-as-good videos.
In case anyone is wondering, here are the real reasons why the Chiefs have come on down the stretch: - Charles Omenihu entered the pass rush after his ACL injury from last year (Week 13 against the Raiders). - Marquise Brown coming back from a shoulder injury in the preseason (Week 16 against the Texans). - DJ Humphries came into the fold at LT but almost immediately injured his hamstring, and because Wanya Morris and Kingsley Suamataiea were so terrible early in the year they moved All-Pro LG Joe Thuney out to LT instead. The guy is 285 lbs. with short arms, but he is technically sound and has not given up a sack in the last 3 games going against the likes of Myles Garrett, Will Anderson Jr., Danielle Hunter, TJ Watt, and Alex Highsmith. (Since Week 15 against the Browns). Getting healthy and figuring out Joe Thuney is a cyborg sent from the future to protect Patrick Mahomes has resulted in going +10 in turnover ratio over that 3 game span, when they were just +4 for the entire season through Week 14.
I feel like Kingsley was playing better than Wanya and with less help. Sure, he was beat several times by Trey Hendrickson but there shouldn't have been any shame in that. The guy led the league with 17 sacks last year and is tied for the league lead with 14 this year as well. In my opinion, benching Kingsley was a mistake but I do like the Humphries signing.
On that deep ball to Watson, Mahomes gets the time he needs because Travis picks up the blitzing DB. He is really beating those allegations that he can't block.
Xavier's college film showed him to be a pretty damn good route runner, not just a speed guy. And sure the deep ball isn't quite there yet with him and Mahomes (and I'd say Mahomes has missed more than it being Xavier's fault) but like you said, the Chiefs are starting to utilize his route running for easy yards. Dude really is everything we hoped for when we drafted him. I still can't believe some Chiefs fans were complaining about him after a few games. Feels like this whole gameplan was just saying "You man up we'll beat you," which man the Chiefs have been missing that. But with Hollywood back and D. Hop, putting this on tape is beautiful, because if they wanna start running zone we've got some great RBs, one of the best zone destroying TEs ever, and multiple wideouts that can stress/feast in zone. The Chiefs offense is finally looking closer to what was imagined before the season started. The only thing I'll say is I think you undersold D. Hop a bit. Andy Reid knows that D. Hop has gravity, players will step over to him, so he runs concepts because of that. Then D. Hop can do D. Hop things like that 3rd down toe drag swag where he just proves that he's still one of the all timers. For being a highly injured and patch work offense, you're looking at one of the most fun offenses getting healthy at the right time imo. I know, initially, Rashee Rice was in his group and could you imagine this WR group?! But I think it's some consummate pro's or....well tbh all pro options with some fly high talent. Just been a lot of change and OL trouble, but damn. This Steeler game really did kinda sniff at the potential of what this offense could be.
Thank you for this analysis. Just shows how the rest of the Chiefs team are creating opportunities and choices. Mahomes with choices is going to be difficult for any opposition.
Hey man, great video, your channels growing fast and you have nearly 100k subscribers. I mean this as respectfully as possible, I think you should approach your sponsorship a little more responsibly. You showed huge winnings and spoke about gambling as if it is risk free. Of course we all know there are risks in gambling but there are A LOT of people who lose more than they make. Its the only way gambling stays profitiable actually. Gambling can and will ruin lives, I think a warning or a "gamble at your own risk" message is appropriate when promoting these things.
Steelers unsophisticated defense got exposed yet again. The one knock on Tomlin is, he is not that good of a X's and O's coach, nor game management coach. Steelers defense is famous for physicality and sound fundamentals, which are nerfed by rule change and specifically by injuries this game. Corners out, Watt not 100%. They can rely on talents and lucky BS turnovers to caught teams off guard, yet lack the talent and infrastructure to truly compete in the playoffs against juggernauts. From my experience watching the game, you cannot rely, let alone build your team off turnovers. There's one saying that "Luck favours the one who ignore it."
Excellent breakdown of plays. You think you could do live before the snap like Romo? Not a challenge or mockery legit question. Never played a skill position so reading the offense was much different . Much simpler.
Yea pitt just needed to stick the closes man to kelce, which would have stopped the middle from being so open....its his fav receiver they do this every 3rd down.
