These 100 seconds videos are literally invaluable. They make it possible for me to know if I should use the tech or not. It's a game changer, because this way I can keep up to date with modern features without digging around in Github or long introduction videos. It's like a news feed really. Don't ever stop❤️
Hey man, just wanted to leave you a comment. I've fallen out of touch with the software development world because I'm having a shitty time with my employer. This video... This video brought back my excitement that I had when I got into this profession. Thank you for that. I'm going to start a side project and put my passion in there. Thank you. You've earned a life long subscribed.
Fantastic. Best format - 100sec for concept, a little bit more for a fuller description with exercise. And the best part - everything works! Please continue to make videos in this format!
this is starting to look like a much better option as the app stores now only list apps whose politics they agree with. Having an independently installable app seems like a good route for future apps
I just like the way you presented this tutorial, a brief 100 seconds explanaition and at the end a brief showcase of the upcoming video that you're gonna make. Awesome content!
This concept is amazing! Great intro in 100 seconds and awesome tutorial in the Beyond part! Explaining such an interesting concept so well, you're awesome!
100s videos are my fav. They get straight to the point and if I want to know some more I watch till the end. Always worth watching it and learning new tech! Thanks
According to lighthouse my content takes ~14 seconds to be interactive 🙃 It doesn’t _actually_ take that long, but it looks like there’s room for improvement in my webpack build. Thanks for exposing that to me 😬😅
I am about to finish up my computer science degree this spring & this video along with the extended web sockets video have come at the perfect time for touching up my portfolio, love the extended content.
@efficientshred True, but you can use Capacitor and turn your ionic app into a native app. There's a Capacitor plugin that will call iOS native APIs for you and fallback to web APIs in non-iOS environments.
Suggestion: Change the playlist name "100 seconds of code" to something like "X in 100 seconds" Note: This suggestion was nearly "Create a playlist for these 100-second videos" because I missed it before double-checking. Suggestion #2: Keep up the great work! 🙏
iOS support is the number one blocker of PWAs right now in my opinion. And it's obvious why it's not a priority, they don't want people turning to PWAs instead of the app store where they can take their 15/30%
I doubt Apple is ever going to let PWAs work on their side, the store is worth too much to them. Their store guidelines ensure that its not possible too.
Im always amazed by the quality and the amount of real world usable informations you can squeez in a so short video! Thank you for the effort, you're making this world a better one for devs everywhere. Peace!
Love your channel. Regarding PWA's I just wish Safari (and esspecially iOS Safari) would follow the same standards as all other modern browsers OR Apple allowing other browser engines to run natively on their platform. Until this is happening I don't see how PWAs (except for simple ones) can be a real cross-platform solution.
hello thanks a lot !! please create a video speaking about how to do push notification using service worker it would be so great I like your explanation
Im fairly new to you channel but i must say.. Thank you so much, the content. Its easy to listen. All the information is presented clearly. Jus love it. Are you planning on making a video about your app design process?
I love these beyond 100 second videos, don't change this concept.
Noted!
Strongly agree
Oh for me if i search up a Word like pwa here the 100sec are enough :)
Yes please! Don't change please!

I value the video at two dollars.
the 100 seconds is my favorite series on this channel! it explains to you everything u need to know to start using a new technology. AMAZING!
I've seen twice where you made: 100seconds... but more... I like the idea of expending in a few minutes after
4
me: opens youtube to search PWA
youtube algorithm and Fireship: PWA in 100 sec
Same Pinch bro.
Yeah, it’s ranking first for PWA!
Apple hates PWAs because they can't tax every aspect of the app with 33% like it happened with fortnight the battle royal game.
It's a 30% cut and it's Fortnite.
@@lucaspelegrino1 Cordova yes PWA not. Android can TWAs in the play store, kinda
trusty PWAs.
Ironic since Steve Jobs originally wanted the iPhone to be based around web apps.
so why are they pushing it so hard
I love 100 second and explanation in depth in one video!

Opened UA-cam,
First video - PWA in 100 seconds,
that's why I love UA-cam algorithm, and you too ❤️
Thank you 😊
"and you too"?
Surely there is something else going on here.
Just kidding!
Agreed, this channel is fantastic.

I prefer your 100 seconds to most ... hour courses. I'm grateful for your content, Thanks!

Fireship continues to be the best learning resource on the entire internet. This video owns.
When he says the line about going beyond 100 seconds it is always so satisfying
I just like the way you presented this tutorial, a brief 100 seconds explanaition and at the end a brief showcase of the upcoming video that you're gonna make.
Awesome content!
Just wanted to say THANKS for this! Using this info I was able to convert my website to a PWA and make it installable in about 3 hours!!
This video is 2yrs old...😲
(I've just discovered PWAs.)
Tnx dude, for awesome video.
I really love this way of 100 seconds + beyond,, plz continue this method
Dude! Easily the best dev UA-cam channel. Such quality! Much interesting! Many educational 😁🔥
And your business strategy is so clever! You're teasing with your UA-cam content to become pro member. Shame I can't afford it
I only watch these videos because I really like your explanations... I am not even a web dev of any sort!
Information about PWA that is not from like 2015... amazing!
Building a PWA currently.. thanks for best practices
I was literally just researching this and bam here you come with this video
Well now!... This is very impressive... I'm floored by the elegant presentation... You're an amazing explainer!
I can listen to you all day! ♥♥
I love PWA
I just built a PWA the other day.
Great vid
Thanks for making the 100 second format into something longer. Way better than it was before. The old ones always felt like a teaser clip :D
Gotta sign up at the website!
I really like this type of videos from you. Both 100sec and beyond 100 sec
I'm not ready for this level yet. But, it's fun to know that this exists for when I am there.
Learned more from your 100 seconds videos than 1hr tutorials
The best quality and best voice no arguments!!
This is my favorite dev channel in all youtube because of this cool stuff
Stadia on iOS as PWA.
What a great comeback 😄
Your videos are so concise and clear man I’m jealous
Dude you make some of the best content on the web. Thanks so much for providing and doing this work.
This concept is amazing! Great intro in 100 seconds and awesome tutorial in the Beyond part! Explaining such an interesting concept so well, you're awesome!
Google should have your voice for the assistant. So smooth. Do you have audiobooks?
I wonder if AR will make it possible
Maybe if you play it on 0.75 speed
This is by far the best tech introductory video I ever came across…just in 100 seconds I got to know all about to kick start pwa
Staying Tuned! Waiting for the Browser API Videos!
Thank you so much. I created my first React PWA using a custom Webpack-Stack and your help :)
100s videos are my fav. They get straight to the point and if I want to know some more I watch till the end. Always worth watching it and learning new tech! Thanks
these mini mems among your vids steals my focus and enters me into hard laughin
It would be awesome if you made more in depth content with this level of quality. I would definitely think about buy it.
he does! check out his site

Thanks i knew about Michael Ross! He was my professor in Oxford and told us about Vectra!
Jeff is still my favourite tech youtuber
This is really usefull, im actually now working on a PWA
We need a 'SSO LDAP SAML ... in 100 sec' Video ! Greatly appreciated .
I am about to finish up my computer science degree this spring & this video along with the extended web sockets video have come at the perfect time for touching up my portfolio, love the extended content.
I love these beyond 100 secs style
Kudos for using a clip from "Metal Construction".
This reminds me of when I was developing Firefox OS apps many years ago.
Tells: Push notifications
Shows iphone which doesn't support push notifications through the web
Detect iOS device and fall back to SMS notifications.
@@Pete_YT That or use something like Ionic

Need more on PWA, like animations and similar FPS like we have in native apps
WAIT! Where did the "INSTALL" button come from, and what does it do? That's the best part of all of this!
If your website have a manifest and service worker, it will trigger the install after a couple of seconds on the website on your mobile device.
@@Warface thanks. You rock!
Finally a video on my favourite web technology!
Man, you just predict what I wanna learn. Love your content.
This guide is awesome and incredible helpful to start off. Thank you.
How could someone dislike these videos! Great vid as always!
Hope to include topic on how well IOS devices support PWA. Thanks for great info of this video.
Lean, informative, concise, directly on point! I love your content!

woah, a good explanation in a short time, as well as giving out valuable resources! Incredible channel, subscribed instantly!
I’m a noob programmer and I love your content

Great video! Would love to see more in depth videos about PWAs 😎
You are the best.
If I could I would like each part of video separately.
Surprised not to hear Ionic mentioned in the list of tools/frameworks for building PWA's given your past tutorials on the topic
This channel is dev heaven
Great Content!... only if programmers documented their code like you
Thank you very much! It helped me to clarify ideas and find new tools for a new project.
Til pwa can be so simple to get started... I always thought u need frameworks like angular or react!!
No iOS Safari PWA push notifications in 2020 😭😭
Jup. I’ve been working to deliver app with PWA but then facing the realities. Moved to Flutter.
I doubt Apple is ever going to let PWAs work on their side, the store is worth too much to them. Their store guidelines ensure that its not possible too.
Safari Is the new internet explorer, no more doubts
@@Alessandro-nq3tm WebKit is almost on par with Chromium, I wouldn't call it IE...
Detect iOS device and fall back to SMS. Apple really need to get with the times.
Hmm unsure about this whole thing with Flutter&Co vs. PWA.
What are your thinkings?

Just started my Ionic Angular for PWA too 😋
It feels good to understand. Thank you!
I'm 100% sure, he can read our mind.

tks you, hope you make full video about PWA
Thank you so very much for this video, you saved my life
Very informative. Please make more videos about pwa and its pros and cons compared to native apps.

Awesome. Looking forward to the new video
I’d love to see a Flutter PWA
thanks for this amazing content. One of the best if not the best.
The issue is Apple is not going to let PWAs dominate soon.... until then you might stay with React Native or maximum ionic (capacitator or what)
What an amazing channel honestly
