I dont know exactly what you are going through, but its important to remember that a lot of the time emotions are temporary. Things might get better, things might get worse. Lord only knows. But we should always stick around to find out what the next season of life will hold for us. Because while i dont know who you are i do know that there are people that care about you. You being here is use enough if you can bring any sort of positive emotion to people. What defines us is not how we fail but how we continue
Does is really matter to be better than anyone else? You're living your own life, you don't need to be better than anyone else, you just need to be better than your past self, and you definitely can.
Do your flaws and mistakes make you a failure? Absolutely no, they make you a human.
Don't be harsh on yourself, take it easy and try to change yourself at your own pace, you can't change the past but you can change the future, don't you think so?

3 years ago, I rated this a 7. That might change this year when I rewatch it. Why you ask? Well I never really teared up. Probably because I didn't get myself deep into the story.

The writing of this show is so good. It really hits home that nothing is all rainbows and butterflies like what shows and social media portray.
Absolutely love how the mangaka of sakurasou also made bunny girl senpai, and both of them have absolutely huge clickbaits as their name, yet both are so deep, and sad.
Sakurasou ep 23 is one of my top 3 fav eps ever

Just going to put this this out here but the LN the source the anime was based is absolute trash, but it doesnt matter because the producers made a bad romance into a masterpiece P.S the writer really did a 180 with Sorata's personality and though the ending is horrid im still satisfied.

The amount of emotional pain this gave me watching this hit so hard.
I love this anime for everything in the video, the amazing soundtrack compliments this so much and the art style inspires me to what i am today. I find it so difficult to explain just how much i love this anime. This anime is more than your typical rom-com, it invokes a special connection and message i think everybody deserves to at least witness, if not connect to, this anime. Pet Girl of Sakurasou will always hold a special place in my heart and i hope that everyone else enjoys it too.

Life is an insane ride. I have this on my list and now it might be moving forward.
I use my own failures as an example for others that failure can be a motivator.
I fail in everything I do. It became so much that I wanted to fail. Failed my first year of college and lost everything I cared for outside my family. I fought tooth and nail to graduate with a decent gpa. I got into law school, and failed my first semester and had a 1.5 gpa. I had to have above a 2.3 to stay in school or I’d get permanently banned from going back. I never worked so hard in my life to not only graduate but get my final year fully paid for free.
Lost my first 3 trials as a lawyer which hurts because that’s not just my life but someone else’s. Now I’ve had a high success rate since. Life is a journey of failures and what those failure teach you. Nothing is too far gone for you to come back from.
an anime where everything doesn’t go well is a nice change, i might give this one a watch.

It's still relatively popular, one of the tops in romance genre, but Anime as a whole wasn't as popular when this aired, so there's a lot that don't know about it

This anime is the best example of how too much fan service can ruin a good story.
As much as I like the female lead I don't like her as the love interest, but the teacher reminds me of Shizuka-sensei. The weird side love between the British friend and Ryu was lovely

I initially thought it was going to just be a silly harem anime at the start but by the end it taught me a lot about life
This one's peak, one of the best romcoms I've seen. I'm glad that I gave it a try two years ago n still waiting for the next season.

I really like that people shed some light on this beautiful anime. I thought slice of life anime and i thought that this is just some harem anime but it really is unique and one of my favorite infact, i hope it will get even more recognition. But I do hope that if there is a season 2 i hope that would be different from the LN due to the stuff i read in comments i hear that it was very bad.

This was the first anime that I ever watched (When I actually understood what an anime was. I had seen shows such as Pokémon and Beyblade). This is one of the few animes that made me cry as I had become attached to the characters. I'd definitely recommend it.

Okay. 0:20 in, and I am overjoyed. This was one of my first animes, and even more of a first romance anime. It will always be precious to me. A shae about what I've heard o the LN ending, so I've neglected to read them to form my own opinion.

Okada-san the one responsible for traumatising me without even watching any of her anime because the concepts hit me to hard and bring a sense of fear so thats her name huh maybe one day I'll be able to watch all these emotionally complex anime and not hurt myself or I guess have them constantly bite down on me

Were Sorata asks Nanami to open the leter with answer to his job application. When she reads it, she can't even hand the letter to Sorata before starting to cry because not only does he not get the job, but in the same letter, the company he applied for asks him if the person who did the artwork for his application is available for hiring. Imagine not only being rejected from a job position, but your friend is being asked to work for that company in the same letter... Hurts to even watch that part, but remembering similar thing in my own life just stings like hell. That friend is now working with good pay and I'm still struggling...
What are the odds. I had already just finished Blade of the Tempest when Kito released a recommendation video on it, and a Sakura-sou recommendation video when im in the middle of that show. Kito is just recommending underrated shows specifically from Fall 2012 lol

I can't stand people who constantly shit and hate on the main character, Sorata Kanda. It seems that they missed the entire point of his character and they also missed his wonderful character development. It's not like he's the only one with flaws, it's just that the people ignore the other characters' flaws and find a way to shit on the main character because he isn't a cute anime girl. Mashiro, Nanami, and Misaki had so many flaws too but I don't see anyone talking about their flaws. Sorata is just a normal human being like the rest of them, and he doesn't deserve all the hate he gets. His character development is his redemption. People always miss pointing out his character development and redemption. He's a very good character, and my favourite from the anime.

Funny, I just watched this show and then this video pops up.
The Pet Girl of Sakurasou is really great show. If you watch it, don't expect to keep dry eyes! Especially towards the end!
Such a sweet charming story and characters. I love all the characters, especially Mashiro, Sorata, Nanami, and Misaki.
Anyway, the show did a good job showing what talented and creative people go through in their hobbies, or if they try to make a career of it. Very cool.
With the show being over ten years old, the chances are probably slim that the anime gets a second season, which is unfortunate. It had a great stopping off point and also a tease of what's to come with the graduation of the seniors and arrival of the freshmen.
