It has been going on for a decade now. Only issue now that United had a decent season last season all of the sudden the fans are demanding the old United back and our club management (owners board resources and even manager indirectly) are either impatient or have the lack/refusal to use resources to improve upon last season
United had a shit season last year too the rest of the clubs competing for top 6 played shit other than arsenal and city.
And to top it off overhyped rashford had 2 great months interms of goal scoring.
The idea that United were good last season is for only those who have just watched highlights and deluded fans.

The job to take them back to glory is just simply too big, and apparently behind the seasons management and administration is very questionable for a club of it's prestige. Honestly, the obsession of many managers on the 'pressing striker' is sometimes too unrealistic or ineffective. A player who has that kind of stamina to be an aggressive presser and then be fit enough to charge up during offensive transitions, to be good at finishing and most importantly not get injured, makes the availability of suitable players so niche and rare to get. So in such systems,effectively the team's performance gets hugely dependent on the availability and form of these few players unless you are Man City who can afford to have world class players on the bench.
If at all they get injured or are out of form, your system breaks.
We have seen this with Liverpool, when Mane and Fermino left, it took them time to rebuild.
This is why I am a greater fan of managers like Ancelotti, Mourinho and Zidane, who can create systems according to the players available, and kind of tweak tactics according to their opponents.

No. As much as United fans might point to it constantly, ownership has brought its own problems, especially with the state of the club's facilities (I mean just look at Old Trafford, how do you think the medical facilities are?) and its backroom staff (especially in scouting and recruitment). Additionally, the club has been absolutely trash with contracts, giving bumper contracts to players who are completely ready to down tools at a moment's notice. These same players are exactly the type of people ETH is clashing with right now.
Is there a reason to blame Ten Hag?
Yes, he hasn't had much luck in getting his players to adopt the system he wants, his subs/team choice is wanting at times, and he's not the best at adapting to changing circumstances. It's hard to see his philosophy on the pitch made manifest.
Would it be a good idea to sack him?
No. It wouldn't help at all. There are no good replacements who could do the job, and it would be abandoning the project yet again when it's just getting started. Fellow Dutchman LVG literally called ETH and told him not to take the job due to the board and club structure, but ETH did it anyway.
I'm not saying Ten Hag's a tactical mastermind and the ownership is completely at fault, but I'm not saying ETH is a trash manager either. He needs time and support, not ridicule.
