- Here's a lesser-known documentary about Caribbean fish, narrated by none other than Sir David Attenborough. This appears to be a very small production, and it was quite difficult to find any information about it online. Aside from an old VHS transfer with poor image quality posted on UA-cam a few years ago, this is the only copy available, and the DVD was challenging to track down. The "Volume 1" in the title may suggest that other volumes exist, but unfortunately, that’s not the case, except for a slightly extended version that was re-released as Video Encyclopedia of Caribbean Fish around 2016.
One notable aspect of this lesser-known documentary is the questionable music choice, which sounds like it was lifted straight from a built-in demo tune on a Casio kids' synthesizer, playing throughout the film. It honestly feels like an insult to the soothing narration of Sir David Attenborough. In fact, it was so distracting that I took it upon myself to remix the audio track, just so I could have a version that isn't completely debilitating to watch. My custom version is available as a secondary audio track on the file downloadable from my Internet Archive page for those who are interested. I may also upload it directly to UA-cam in the future if there's any interest for it.
