Astonishingly, he clinched the win, exceeding everyone's expectations. Including those of his own coach. All they knew beforehand was his undeniable passion for the game.

I'm a Black male, and I find Ruckus hilarious because he's clearly an absolute a-hole; if you're of the lighter nation and you're uncomfortable with him, you're on the side of right. His persona shouldn't (and hopefully wouldn't) be allowed or tolerated in real society (even if his ethnicity and viewpoint were reversed). While his self-hate is made for animation and over the top, sadly, there are those in existence (some even prominent) who actually feel the way he does, they just haven't taken it to that extreme. At least, not in public.

The autistic boy in the episode is based off of Jason McElwain, who is a high-functioning autistic American; he came to fame on national news in 2006 when he played for four minutes and nineteen seconds during a high school basketball game and scored twenty points. Riley compares Billy to Book/movie character Forrest Gump, Likely Riley did not see the movie or pay attention to, as failed to take into account Gump despite questionable cognition excelled at virtually everything he set forth to doing. For those who have wondered about the street name, Timid Deer Lane, it has to do with the city Woodcrest is based on, Columbia, MD. Columbia is a planned city which is divided up into different villages. Each villages streets have names that are derived from various poems and works of art. As a result, Columbia has a reputation for its weird street names across the DMV and Baltimore areas. Here are some examples: Liquid Laughter Lane Apple Blossom Ride Barley Corn Row Five Fingers Way Crazy Quilt Court I'd like to think that Timid Deer Lane is a direct spoof of Sharp Antler, just Sharp Antler. No road, no court, no street or lane. Just Sharp Antler.
Yall know the character billy is based on a real autistic kid who came in in the 4th quarter and hit 6 straight 3 pointers in a row. Look it up its an amazing story
I remember seeing that back in the day (obviously I wasn't watching this show back then) but thanks for pointing that out. I remember seeing it and you're right. Amazing story. Thanks for the comment JustChillin! -M@
As a black person who grew up watching the boondocks, Uncle Ruckus is supposed to be an over exaggeration of how ridiculous racist people sound, so it comes off as being funny, and especially since he's black, I think for a black viewer it's more funny than harmful because he's the darkest character on the show. I think within black circles, we tend to say smth off-color or similar to one another to sort of "limit" the amount of hurt it has when someone legitimately would try to hurt us with this type of language, so ultimately I think it's funny and sorta helpful in a weird...messed up way LOL
First, it's just over the top comedy with what Ruckus is saying. Second, Uncle Ruckus is exactly how some black people feel about black people. It's just shocking because you've never heard things like this come out of a black person's mouth. But you'd be surprised how crazy and reckless some people talk in real life.
In the black community there is always an uncle rucus we don’t like real life uncle ruckuses. But in the cartoon uncle ruckus is FUNNY!!! Black satire is like that, take serious things and turn them into humour so that they are palatable and easier to digest, converse and face the issue
That's NBC basketball theme from the 90s 🎶 Classic moments come back to my memory just hearing that. P.S: Uncle Ruckus is probably the funniest character in the show, it's the "white guilt" that makes y'all feel some kinda way about it which is a good thing, in a way it means you're not racist yourselves... BUT in a nutshell considering the source and the context it's perfectly fine for us as Black viewers
I was blown away when I first heard Ruckus. Then grew to love him. LOL. I showed this to a ex-girlfriend, from Jamaica. And she was offended at first also. Then she got it.
The autistic kid making all those 3's is a real life event that happened. It's not fiction, it real and both teams were rooting for him with every 3 point shot he made... about 7 or 8 them
Black man here. Ruckus is hilarious & definitely the most racist character in cinematic history. Also Haley Joel Osmen is playing the role of the autistic kid in the adaptation.
OMG! I BET! I didn't even think about that, but know what you mean. Sometimes I think the same about certain South Park episodes. Like the constant beeping out profanity is just too effing funny on it's own. Thanks for the comment and watching with us :) - M@

@@WellHelloSilly Uncle Ruckus to me as a UK white viewer is like the pre 60's black character from the South that hasn't left racist. It is a caricature of the evil subconscious
Ruckus is so over the top that I just find him absolutely hilarious. I'm not bothered at all, because of the meaning behind his character. The main characters all represent a different part of black culture. Huey: The revolutionist. Riley: The wannabe gangsta. Grandad: The older generation that focuses far too much on past accomplishments. Uncle Ruckus and Tom DuBois: They both represent different versions of what some call, "Uncle Toms". One is a black man who just has overt hatred of black people, and the other is a black man who's outright lost his cultural identity. This is another example of how deep/brilliant this show is.
LOL! Def NOT Mormon, just not into Basketball. Now the NFL, That's different in our house. We know Football :) Thanks for watching with us Maurice! -Ash
I’m black and Uncle Ruckus is Dark Humor. I laugh at him all the time because there are some people like this. It’s an over exaggeration! Love your open mindedness though ❤☮️💐🧿
As a Black Man, I LOOOOOOOOVE RUCKUS🤣😂😂 His not to be taken serious, he exposes racism. Him being black isn't the point cause he believes his white. So he speaks for racists, it's a Genius Act. So you shouldn't feel uncomfortable at all, it's Comedy. Very Good Comedy.
As a black guy, I like ruckas. Although he is an asshole, there are a few times where he is absolutely correct and it sucks when i find myself agreeing with him. I didnt realize it until i joined the Marines and got out of the hood and got my horizons opened and i became more self aware and I realized i put myself in a box. I was unknowingly separating myself from society, acting like it was against me trying to fit a mold of what a "black person" should be, while also being surprised that very same society was rejecting me because of my actions. There is definitely alot of victim mentality and self defeat and idealizations of stupid bullshit that holds people back. Some black people are lazy and spend all day outside the corner store doing nothing and not progressing themselves any while blaming everyone else and saying they never had w chance. Notice that he semi respects black people who put the time and effort to get themselves together (he still ribs them for being black though which is funny) and be productive. Its different from how he treats thugnificent, who also has money at this point but is still black trash.
We don't see a problem with him it's actually funny even though you really have black ppl who think like that but we get it's just for fun while highlighting a social reality within our community but y'all should chill just have fun we all here enjoying your vids
This is a top 10 episode for me. The dream at the beginning is just too funny with the Inside the NBA guys and players. Ruckus is part of what makes this show gold. Dave Chappelle's great stand-up from the late 90s has a joke thag explains it. He basically said sometimes black people hear something so racist that you don't get mad you just say "wow, that was racist." That's basically Ruckus's entire purpose. One episodes in season 3 that is one of the few that have been banned is a bit uncomfortable but only because he is in rare form with a new character.
I'm black and uncle ruckus is hilarious, especially in the south every black family got one person that has some opinions that are pretty close haha. I'd recommend Chris rock niggas vs black people, it kinda explains the situation lol
Before you get to episode 11, you have to know this. 2 episodes (episode 14 and 15) of season 2 were banned from airing. In the original ordering of the season, episode 14 was supposed to be the 4th episode and introduces a backstory to a character that is also featured in episode 11. So if you want to go through the original order (before the episodes got banned and shelved into last episodes), you should watch episode 14 before episode 11
They banned episodes 14 and 15? For what? Maybe don't answer so they don't get spoiled but I never heard of an issue with those two episodes. Now that I think more, I do remember this characters introduction seeming out of order and I couldn't understand why. That would make a lot of sense.
Ok wow! That's a lot to take into consideration. So we just watched Episode 10, but you're saying to watch 14 next and then go back to 11 and so on? I don't have a problem with it.

Woah really!? Neat "fun fact" 😁
Thanks Krust👍-M@
I don’t get uncomfortable with what Rukus is saying until I see other people actually agreeing 😂 then I’m like????🤔
Great reaction :)
Here are some examples:
Liquid Laughter Lane
Apple Blossom Ride
Barley Corn Row
Five Fingers Way
Crazy Quilt Court
I'd like to think that Timid Deer Lane is a direct spoof of Sharp Antler, just Sharp Antler. No road, no court, no street or lane. Just Sharp Antler.
That's really interesting, Bavarian. Thanks for the education. It's viewers like you that make interesting/education statements. 💓-Ash
As a black person, Uncle Ruckus honestly my favorite in the whole show. The statements he says are so outrageous and ridiculous that it’s so funny 😂
Lol, it's great to hear from so many different people and who they like on the show and why. Thank you so much for watching with us 🙏-Ash
The humor of Uncle Ruckus is being offensive but he obviously isn't intended to be a likable character
This Was Bow Wow When He Was In Like Mike
As a black person who grew up watching the boondocks, Uncle Ruckus is supposed to be an over exaggeration of how ridiculous racist people sound, so it comes off as being funny, and especially since he's black, I think for a black viewer it's more funny than harmful because he's the darkest character on the show. I think within black circles, we tend to say smth off-color or similar to one another to sort of "limit" the amount of hurt it has when someone legitimately would try to hurt us with this type of language, so ultimately I think it's funny and sorta helpful in a weird...messed up way LOL
Uncle Ruckus makes me uncomfortable, but I do still laugh because he’s just so over-the-top.
I agree! Just the things he says is like holy shit! -Ash
First, it's just over the top comedy with what Ruckus is saying. Second, Uncle Ruckus is exactly how some black people feel about black people. It's just shocking because you've never heard things like this come out of a black person's mouth. But you'd be surprised how crazy and reckless some people talk in real life.
Uncle Rukus says the most outta pocket shit as a black person you either get weak or take notes I do both 😂😂
He's a trip! 😂💓-Ash
I’m Black and find Uncle Ruckus hilariously 😂😂. His voice actor is talented as hell.
LMAO! Right!? Thank you so much for watching with us Moe 💓🙏-M@ & Ash

Just FYI: That final scene is a movie poster. Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense) starring in "Billy Matthews". Great reactions.
10:00 Ehehehe, so it starts... there's a lot of Uncle Ruckus in this episode! I hope you degusted it all, eheheheheh...!
Tom losing it at the end will forever be funny to me😂😂
I know!! 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for watching with us Kasen! 💓-Ash
I was blown away when I first heard Ruckus. Then grew to love him. LOL. I showed this to a ex-girlfriend, from Jamaica. And she was offended at first also. Then she got it.
LMBO! He's a trip! Thank you so much for watching with us 🫶🙏-M@

Uncle Ruckus funny as shit to me I don’t take offense to anything he says personally dude is literally hilarious 😂😂😂
He still shocks us every time!! 💓-Ash
@@WellHelloSilly lol yea it’s fun seeing you guys turn red he so outrageous I literally can’t take anything he says seriously it’s just funny ash😂😂
The autistic kid making all those 3's is a real life event that happened. It's not fiction, it real and both teams were rooting for him with every 3 point shot he made... about 7 or 8 them
Yeah we heard about that and that's just crazy and heartwarming. Thank you so much for watching with us and taking the time to interact with us 🙏-M@
@@WellHelloSilly Haley Osment is from 6th sense .. you are amazing. I didn't even know that.
Black man here. Ruckus is hilarious & definitely the most racist character in cinematic history. Also Haley Joel Osmen is playing the role of the autistic kid in the adaptation.
23:10 the censored version was so funny 😂
OMG! I BET! I didn't even think about that, but know what you mean. Sometimes I think the same about certain South Park episodes. Like the constant beeping out profanity is just too effing funny on it's own. Thanks for the comment and watching with us :)
- M@
I love Uncle Ruckus being a black viewer lol… I find his attitude to be funny and not harmful… Uncle Ruckus really is top 3 characters in the show humor wise
I love him just as much as the next person, but damnit. When we hear that tuba, we now we're in for some "cringe" as white folk 😅
Thanks for watching with us and the kind comment Pach! 🙏-M@
@@WellHelloSilly Uncle Ruckus to me as a UK white viewer is like the pre 60's black character from the South that hasn't left racist. It is a caricature of the evil subconscious
Ruckus is the "racist relief" that truly takes this show to the next level 😂😂😂
I LOVE uncle Ruckus! 😅😁
There are some people that are a lot like uncle ruckus in real life but less direct lmao
That music was from the NBA on NBC...how long have there been TVs in your area. Are you guys Mormon?
LOL! Def NOT Mormon, just not into Basketball. Now the NFL, That's different in our house. We know Football :)
Thanks for watching with us Maurice!
Hey Dread!! Thank you so much for watching with us and the interaction, but more importantly, Thank You For Your Service 🇺🇸🫡-M@
As a black person, uncle ruckus is the most hilarious. 😂 😂 😂
Thanks for watching with us and the interaction 😊🙏-M@
No! Uncle ruckus does not make us feel uncomfortable..!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Made us feel uncomfortable. Lol.. 😂😂😂 💓-Ash
We don't see a problem with him it's actually funny even though you really have black ppl who think like that but we get it's just for fun while highlighting a social reality within our community but y'all should chill just have fun we all here enjoying your vids
18:01 love his character, but I love dark humor 😂😂😂
This is a top 10 episode for me. The dream at the beginning is just too funny with the Inside the NBA guys and players.
Ruckus is part of what makes this show gold. Dave Chappelle's great stand-up from the late 90s has a joke thag explains it. He basically said sometimes black people hear something so racist that you don't get mad you just say "wow, that was racist." That's basically Ruckus's entire purpose. One episodes in season 3 that is one of the few that have been banned is a bit uncomfortable but only because he is in rare form with a new character.
We've heard a bit about Season 3 and excited to start it soon! Much Love Chubby! -M@
😂😂😂Riley is savage!
No Kidding he is! 😂
I'm black and uncle ruckus is hilarious, especially in the south every black family got one person that has some opinions that are pretty close haha. I'd recommend Chris rock niggas vs black people, it kinda explains the situation lol
OMGosh! Ruckus is too much for me at times, but will NEVER not be awkwardly hilarious for us! Thanks for watching with us DeShawn! - Ash
😂😂😂 unkel Ruckus is real nigga gangsta 😂😂
@@WellHelloSilly Yeah, basically
I remember Umbros ...and now i feel old
LMAO, ikr!? 😅
Uncle Ruckus is HILARIOUS
Uncle Ruckus is funny as hell! I'm not offended by him at all.
I’m black, uncle ruckus is hilarious …he is a favorite lol so over the top racist 😂😂
The insults to throw off players off came from the movie Baseketball from the creators of South Park
OMGosh, I remember that movie! 😅-M@
I enjoy ruckus .
He was beautifully written.
Thanks for the comment Chris! We like Ruckus, but damn he gets crazy! (as you already know) He made us uncomfortable in the last reaction we did. LMAO Thanks for watching with us Chris. - M@
As a person from the motherland, I love Ruckus.
I laugh everytime he's on the screen.
As a black man..I love Uncle..you guys should watch his compilations 😅
Y’all should watch Afro Samurai next
Thanks for the comment Bobby! Good to see ya back :)
I added Afro Samurai to my UA-cam "Notes" and promise I'll look into it. Although a friend of mine just put up a review of a TRASH movie and even though it was garbage, the parent company of that movie got him an actual Copywrite Strike. Long story shot, I gotta do some research on uploading a movie. ya know. Thanks again for the support Bobby. Stay Tuned! - M@
I'm black and I think uncle ruckus is crazy hilarious. The shit he says is too funny for me to feel uncomfortable I couldn't take him serious if I tried, he's by far my favorite character for sure anytime he pops up on the screen I'm wheezing 😂
He just makes us uncomfortable. We just don't know what will come out of his mouth. 💓-Ash
@@WellHelloSilly understandable 😂
Yeah, Ruckus reached cringe fatigue at this point. The dark humor is minstrelsy.
Hating on Crouching Tiger got me 😅😅
I’m black and I look at Uncle Ruckus as like the black version of Eric Cartman shitty personality of a character but you don’t take them serious as they are “losers of the show” and of course comedy is exaggerated, ruckus is supposedly portrays the “self hated black person” but his jokes and statements and mannerisms is so outlandish and ridiculous you can’t help either laugh or cringe but don’t take it to heart
I couldn't agree with your analogy more Jay! 100% Thanks for watching with us and see ya in the comment :)
Wait ain't he white then caught some disease that turns him dark skin?if that's so he just white 😂especially on the inside
That’s not 80’s music. That’s the NBA on NBC every Sunday.
I love uncle ruckus
Black ppl find uncle ruckus hilarious tbh 😂 yeah it's dark humor but the reality is often laughed at
you took a charge to a brotha nuts🤣🤣🤣
17:38 it wouldn't be Uncle Ruckus "no relations" if he didn't do all that but real talk i would hate to meet somebody like him in real life.
😅🙏🤙-M@
Dude Rukus is fkn hilarious as sht to most black viewers! 😂
I've yet to find a single person, regardless of ethnicity, that doesn't love his character. It's super funny which comes as no surprise to most logical people. Racism is ridiculous enough, and _should_ be laughed at.
They flawlessly wrote his character. lol
Lol, thanks Tar-Von for watching with us and the interaction. We love this show and all the OG fans of it, like yourself 😁🙏-M@

4sure bro. lol I was just telling your wife how much we love your content.
I've seen seasons 1-3 *religiously* with the exception of 4. Hearing that Mc'gruder was, essentially ousted during the making of it iirc, I never felt inclined to watch it.
My first time will definitely be with you two. Despite the many times I've seen seasons 1 - 3, watching your reactions actually made it feel fresh/funnier in a way.
Whoever decided to post your reactions to the world is a freakin genius. LOL We look forward to it, Mat(season 4). ✌️
