  • Phacelia is such a BENEFICIAL ADDITION to the garden, especially if you are planting something that needs a lot of pollen transfer ( cucumbers, melons, squash).
    Phacelia blooms in a sequence, so you will see flowers on your plant for months! Not only is it beneficial, it's BEAUTIFUL! It produces delicate purple flowers, and has tiny long, tickly stamens that portrude from the flower.
    When they go to seed, they sort of curl, almost like a fern, and are very easy to save for the following year.
    Phacelia is in the borage family. Boraginaceae, along with forget-me-nots, borage ( obviously), and lungwort.
    I recommend it to anyone! It's quite a low maintance plant to tend to.
