A very very good review Pete, well chosen words delivered perfectly, which is not an easy feat - as for the car, well on screen & in pictures it's not a good looker however i'll reserve judgement until seen in person as you suggest.
There is a plushness and ambiance to a Rolls Royce that will never come across on camera, especially in the back. However some switch-gear is not as well finished as it should be; the door closing buttons for one and if I remember correctly there is another on the dash that could be better. One only has to sit in the wonderful Bentley Continental GT to see the superb finish of the turned aluminium switch-gear. This is what RR could and should be providing.
Certainly impressive in many ways but just the kind of car that as a car enthusiast I can appreciate and I am glad that it does exist to satisfy all those that appreciate it and can afford it and as you say enjoy 'looking down' on other people (some people like to feel superior to others in very funny and depressive ways...maybe a tablet here could help more) but also one to which I am completely and totally indifferent.
It never gets old; you open the door its heft as evident as the ease with which it can be opened. And when you press the button on your A-pillar the door closes with the finality of a bank vault’s. It never gets old.
This almost takes the car back to the old classic dimensions of the 54 Silver Wraith etc. Those huge chauffeur driven limousines without the long boot overhang.
I like the look of her..the chunky grill and bonnet suits the 'stance' of the SUV better than the saloons actually. Nice video as always Pete, thanks mate.
I could have spent all day in that RR sales room, just slumped on the floor, drooling and with a silly grin on my face. I'd be draped in all that fine and gorgeous smelling leather that they have as samples. They would have to drag me out. But as the floor looks cleaner than my dining table, that wouldn't have been much of a problem for me. I drag well... :-))... 850Nm of torque!! Jeepers. Considering the weight of the Cullinan, if you parked your car facing West and accelerated quickly, the World would, for a split second, actually stop spinning. And I don't think I've ever seen 22" wheels, that looked... Err...!!?? A bit small, on a car before. They should have gone for at least 24" wheels :-)) As for how quiet a Roller is, I can recall when I was about 17 years old (Mid '70's for those who can remember!), I was walking along the Broadway in Haywards Heath when an elderly chap got into his Roller. I heard him start the car, then I laughed, thinking, "What a prat. He's stalled it!" To my utter shock, the Roller just pulled away. I just couldn't hear the engine. Funny to think that RR are using tech from the Mercedes Benz S class with regard to monitoring the road ahead. And @14:13 to 14:50 into the video. Spectacular video Ped! This is such a polished presentation of the Cullinan. You really sold me on this SUV. I wasn't impressed at first, but I understand it now. There only two Rolls Royce that I'd ever buy, first a Silver Seraph 2000 model and second a 1954 Silver Ghost with the Chinese eyes, they look so great, the Rolls Royce Cullinan looks good and very comfortable, but you would never drive it up Ben Nevis or through Kielder Forest now would you, A Cullinan owner buys it to make his friend think he's off road drive, The only step up from the Range Rover Autobiography I would make would be for the Bentley Bentayga, for Bentley always have the engine that makes you go like shit off a shovel, Merry Christmas Ho Ho Ho

Or Golf R from 2015 I need a car with an auto box (I'm fed up with driving a manual as been doing so for the last 40 odd years!) and I want a sub(ish!) 6 seconds 0-60. Wraith is the best Rolls Royce, the Phantom is a car you don't want to drive yourself people who own them have a personal driver. And SUVs are too big in my opinion. The Wraith is just right, it's a coupe which is cool and rare nowdays. It's the fun grand touring car.

Interesting to see how it compares with the Bently Bentayga Mr Ped, which is half the price?
The Bentayga didn't do it for me, I have an SQ7. This car is in a different league :-)
@@PetrolPed A different league and a huge difference in price. How come we have not seen the SQ7?
Congrats on the holiday home!! I live in Bideford, North Devon so not so far away now. My Wife loves Petrol Pooch, as do I and we would love to meet up sometime? Either you pop in on your way down or we could pop down for a coffee if you wanted to of course and no offence if you would rather not.
Very true. I did the SQ7 a couple of years ago. Here is the link..

Thanks re the holiday home. We are very excited and hope to bring more content with it in. I'd love to meet you one day too :-)
Defo roomy. More than I thought.
Did you get it muddy
It more than likely cleaned itself😉
It’s everything you should expect from RR, but I can’t ignore how ugly it looks. Sorry Peter, not for me even if I had the money.
Nice review though 👍🏻.
Cheers,
Geof
Thanks Geof. It has challenging looks that's for sure, but boy does it drive well !
Great vid but the Range Rover Autobiography still tops my list.
Me too and you get to keep best part of £200,000 in change ;-)
Homie never goes to 'Berwick Lodge for lunch'.. AHAHHA had to quick flex on em ha8derrzz I C U BOOIII
Great Video Pete looks a bit like you know what your doing.
The car is a roller and stupidly expensive for me the money would be better spent on a house as it would go up in value and not free fall like the Cullinan will
Only a bit like I know what I'm doing ;-)
@@PetrolPed Didnt want to make you to comfortable now did I?
The owners of this vehicle have more mansions yachts than needed.
Just /or the record the opinion held by the plebeians commenting here don't matter. The Sultan o/ Brunei would in all likelihood approve. Someone who can actually buy it.
The interior is 1st class but the exterior looks like a hurst mate 😆
Harsh ;-)
Petrol Ped Maybe a little Pete 😉
My future love car...🥰💚💖🧡💝💘🙏☘🌻🌹🎐🎐🎐
Is it a BMW derived platform?
No it is not.
Wraith is the best Rolls Royce, the Phantom is a car you don't want to drive yourself people who own them have a personal driver. And SUVs are too big in my opinion. The Wraith is just right, it's a coupe which is cool and rare nowdays. It's the fun grand touring car.
Get it muddy!
I'd love to !

Thanks for the comment. I have not plans to upgrade to 4K as editing, publishing and uploading such large files becomes a real challenge 😥
So much for taking it off road..
Whre is the grace, the beauty? Rolls Royce ought to be ashamed of themselves!
Easily the best part about riding in the cullinan..
You don't have to look at it..
😂😂😂
I fell out my 🛌😜💀😂😂😂😂😂
A lottery win is needed.
I think bigger wheels would improve the proportions and overall appearance
They would need to be 24" :-)
@@PetrolPed but then the riding comfort will decrease
Hope you topped up the tank, as you only have a quarter left.
Left Rolls Royce to do that ;-)
11:21 😬😬😬
Had to mention you mega vid. Great drone work...quite pleased with mine too ;-)
You forgot to put the link up though? Unless I’ve missed it? 😳
